Cedar Pines Cabin w/ Fire Pit & Large Deck - BIG Trees - A Quaint Rustic Charmer

Welcome to Cedar Pines Cabin! We hope you can be one of our first guests! Our rustic 1100 sq. ft. 2 bedroom 1 bath home is perfect for a couple with children or a few friends to enjoy a getaway in the woods of gorgeous Pollock Pines. Our cozy cabin features cedar walls, a wood burning stove, an automatic backup generator and an outdoor gas firepit.
Maximum 4 guests and (1 ) additional child age 5 years old or younger for a total of 5. Further details below.


Surrounded by the pines at 4000 ft we get the best of both seasons with a fair amount of snow in the winter and a place to escape the heat in the summer. Just under an hour to Lake Tahoe and 45 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe. And, less than a 10 minute drive to Jenkinson Lake and only a 35 minute trip to Ice House Reservoir to enjoy some of the best trout fishing around.


We have a large open deck with a propane firepit to keep you warm on the starry nights, an outdoor dining table and a propane grill.

If you need to do laundry, we have a new Samsung high capacity washer and a dryer. We also have a portable air conditioner for the summer months that is installed in the living room along with an air purifier. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans.


We offer free Netflix on our 65" smart tv, great wi-fi and the cell signal is surprising good in the area. Incredibly quiet, serene and peaceful. We hope you enjoy it as much as we have!


100% of all cleaning fees (usually more) are paid directly to our professional cleaner. We do not keep any portion of the cleaning fees.


Please note: During the winter we can get heavy snow. Chains and/or 4WD may be necessary. Guests have access to the entire home. Limit of two cars in the summer and only one in the winter please.


Please note we do not allow any pets/animals. We take the well being of all our guests personally and adhere to the strict allergen-free safety guidelines set forth. For this reason, we do not allow pets/animals inside or on the property for the health and safety of all our guests who will be staying at Cedar Pines Cabin. Guests that fail to follow this house rule will be fined $100 per night along with any additional cleaning/sanitizing fees.


Dorado county's maximum occupancy for a two bedroom rental is 4 guests. We also allow one (1) additional child age 5 or younger for a total of 5 guests.

The cabin is wonderful. It nestled among big beautiful pine trees with a large deck. The cabin is perfect for a nature getaway for hiking, camping, and so on. The cabin is clean, and has all the amenities: wifi, heating/air, and kitchen. The people in the area are welcoming and the host is on top of everything. You will love this place!

This is wonderful property! It is truly a rustic charmer. It is incredibly clean. The wifi works well. The house has amenities like washer/dryer, fireplace, AC, air purifier and a gorgeous deck. The communication from the host was prompt, clear, and friendly. I definitely plan to book this lovely cabin every year.

The cabin was amazing. Everything was clean and the view was just spectacular. We sat on the deck with the fire pit on and it was just breathtaking. The hosts were very responsive and super nice. The code didn’t work initially and within 10 minutes they opened the door for us and updated the pin to get in. I would love to stay here again.

The cabin is very clean and comfortable and has a great deck for drinking coffee and chatting. Phil communicated regularly with me leading up to our stay regarding road conditions, etc., and his directions were perfect. He continued to communicate through our stay. Great place, great hosts.

The cabin was just what we were looking for a long weekend away. Secluded enough, but easy striking distance to Placerville/hikes/amenities. We even managed to get a few inches of snow - a great stay!

This place is perfect. Loved the place from the first step inside. Stayed here with my son, plenty of space, kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Outside patio was cozy with a bbq, sitting area, fire pit. Even spotted 2 deer under the house wondering around. Will definitely plan to stay here again

Great cabin

Cedar Pines Cabin was exactly as advertised. The cabin was very well equipped, very comfortable and lovely. We enjoyed eating on the deck every night. Great location with easy access to wonderful hiking. I'd stay there again.

The beautiful serenity of Rustic Cabin can't be emphasized enough. It looks rustic yet has good wi-fi and everything needed is supplied; quiet yet stores are not far; clean yet felt homey and comfortable. The view from the patio is gorgeous. Positive reviews are true and to be believed. Phil was a responsive host during the whole process. I definitely hope to return. One hint: take slippers since shoes are off inside.
