Cozy, stylish, country studio minutes from downtown Waynesville.
Brand new, stunning studio apartment on horse farm setting with gorgeous mountain views, one mile from downtown Waynesville. Minutes from the best restaurants, shops and breweries in the area, immersed in a quiet, country setting.
We needed a âhome baseâ for a long weekend while in town to visit family, and this little studio was great. The owner was very easy to reach when we had a question, and very pleasant! It was a lovely, quiet little place.
Great efficiency basement level apartment located close to town and easy access to hwy. we loved this historic home which offered beautiful views and wildlife watching every day during our stay. The owner was very communicative and responded quickly when needed. Trouble free check in. Would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was cozy, well equipped, and the location in Waynesville was great! It was only about 10-12 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway and there are great restaurants in town.
The basement oasis was perfect for my wife and I while we spent a week in Western North Carolina. We hiked, explored, and shopped in and around Waynesville and Maggie Valley. The space was as clean and neat as it could possibly be. I sat outside on the outdoor furniture one evening and saw 8 deer come out of the nearby natural area. They got within about 15 feet of me and eventually went on their way. Bill is a very nice guy and was quick to respond to a couple of minor questions I had. We will be going back!
This is a nice spot in the mountains of western NC with easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Waynesville is a nice small town too and thatâs a plus for me! The grounds around the house are very nicely kept and you have a great Mountain Viewđ
Our stay was perfect for a respite anniversary trip while also visiting with others at Lake Junaluska for the WNCC Annual Conference. Small, modern, great view and very neat and clean! We would love to stay here again in the future!
We had never been to Waynesville before.
This place was perfect for our needs. Super peaceful neighborhood right near one of the cutest downtowns you've ever seen.
Stayed for 11 days, as a personal planning retreat and as a base to get to know the Waynesville area. The setting was perfect, tranquil but within an easy walk of Main Street shops, restaurants, live theatre. Very well kept apartment, with everything I needed in the kitchen. The host, Billy, was readily available to answer any questions and recommend places to see/things to do. Would definitely come back and bring my wife!
I so enjoyed The Springhouse Cellar. Came when the dogwoods were in full bloom.
The apartment was so lovely as was the whole property!! Also, made friends with the horses across the street! Thank you for reminding me about my childhood!
It was a very nice experience staying at the cellar. He let us check in early because the room was early. The place was very nice and clean. It was nice waking up and see the mountains. We enjoyed downtown which was only up the street and we were lucky that there was a festival going on in downtown. We really recommend this place to anyone. Thank you so much for the hospitality. We will definitely come back. The Gonzalez.
We loved the apartment. It was small, but very cozy. Do not recommend if you are tall. My husband is 6'4", and had to duck to enter, hit his head several times over course of weekend. There is no couch or sitting area, other than the table, so if you like to kick back and watch much tv, the bed is the only option. We were out of apartment most of the time, so it worked fine.
As expected, this location was extremely clean and had great communication with the host for any questions we had. The location is prime for many reasons but the best reason is due to it's proximity to downtown Waynesville while also having a countryside appeal. You wouldn't know it if you're not from Waynesville, but this location is actually centrally located for many attractions in the area. We highly recommend this studio and will be back to use it again in the future.
We had a wonderful stay. The basement apartment is perfectly laid out. The views are beautiful and the location is perfect. We loved being so close to downtown Waynesville.
I was delighted to purchase this, my grandparents home, 3 years ago and do a top to bottom renovation of the property. I work, most weekdays, out of the office on the main floor of the home, but return to my home in Asheville late afternoons.
The home was originally built as a springhouse around 1902, to keep dairy products cold for resale. The addition, featuring the basement apartment, was built in 1940, the stone veneer added, as well, at that time. The house was a tenant house for the McCracken Dairy, formerly located nearby, which serviced local residents, restaurants and boarding houses with milk, cream, butter and eggs. Tragically, the barn burned in 1937, and the family house, also on-site, burned in 1938. My grandparents then moved into this home and lived there the rest of there lives. This apt. was the caretaker's home.
