Whether you decide to fish (when nature permits, algae can take over at times) Enjoy an evening sitting on the patio overlooking the lake, watching the horses play, or snuggle up and read a book, this 4 bdrm cottage will not disappoint. surrounded by nature but only 15 minutes from downtown, 4 miles to airport, 2 minutes to winding river golf course and southwestway Parks playgrounds and trails.

One of a kind property in Indianapolis on your own private lake at the front of our 60 acre property. You are free to roam the front 10 acres (including the full lake). From the backyard you can see our horses in the pasture next door.

Watch the sunset as the property comes to life at night with all of the sounds of nature.

It’s not Uncommon to see deer in the field, turtles sunbathing on the lake, our resident blue Herron, “Harold”, wild turkey, or the families of ducklings who live here in the spring!

The lake is a natural water source fed by a creek. Although we do our best to treat it, there are times when the natural vegetation is beyond our control.

The house is located next to a big open field, and while we take necessary precautions to keep out any bugs and field mice, the occasional visitor may make its way in.

Close to the interstate and downtown yet it feels like you are deep in the country in a nature preserve.

There are not many properties like this! Listen to crickets chirp, watch fireflies dance, horses play, and roast marshmallows over a fire at this enchanting cottage. Relax next to your own private waterfall feature overlooking the lake in the back yard.

We are on a main road and The home is at the front of the property so easily accessible and easy to find. You will hear cars passing when up at the front of the property. The home does have well water but we have a softener as well as a fresh water dispenser for drinking water. Check directions. Sometimes the gps throws you off. It likes to take people to a near by bridge. I’ve provided directions if this happens.

We live across the lake. These are the only two houses on this lake.

We live in the only other house on this 30 acre property on the other side of the lake. We love to meet and socialize with our guests or give them privacy depending on their preference!

We are available by phone or text during your stay.


We do have a groundskeeper who helps us keep our 60 acres under control with mowing, weedeating and landscaping. We do our best to do most of this work between 11 am and 3 pm. If you see someone pulling weeds, cleaning air filters, or mulching, just know we are doing our best to make your stay as beautiful as possible :)

The cottage is on a private lake on 60 acres, but still within a 15 minute drive to downtown and 3 neighboring cities! Just 5 minutes away from the closest restaurants but a lake on one side and a field on the other away from any neighbors!

There is a driveway and a 2 car garage at the cottage to park your car, but a lot of people traveling use Uber and Lyft.

The property has well water. There is a Whole house water softener to keep high quality water as well as a fresh drinking water dispenser.
As hosts, we aim to make your stay as comfortable as it can possibly be! Our mission is to help our guests create beautiful family memories in our cottage on the lake. For us to do so, we would truly appreciate it if you can follow these house rules and confirm it’s been reviewed within 48 HOURS of your booking. This is to ensure that if for any reason the House Rules cannot be followed, you, our guest, will have the option of cancelling the booking penalty free as we have a cancellation policy. - keep noise to a minimum after 10 pm
- there is no smoking inside the home. If disregarded, Extra cleaning fees to remove odor and stains will be applied. $500 charge
- PLEASE wash your dishes after use. If dishes are not washed, extra cleaning fees may be applied.
- feel free to use the grill/ fire pit/ patio area outside that is set up for our guests leisure use only. Please clean up after use and keep the grill clean.
- Please do not rearrange the furniture
- If you would like to host an event (wedding/ graduation/ anniversary/birthday/etc.) please inquire about our venue for pricing and approval. If party is held without permission, $500 fee Plus $20 per person will be applied.
- if guests are found to have had a an event without permission, which results in extra cleaning, Guests will be responsible for extra cleaning charges. in the unfortunate event of disrupting or alerting neighbors guest will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
- If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind the authorities will be engaged and guests will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
- Lastly, because this is an Airbnb community, not a hotel, and is also part of our home property, please be respectful of the property and keep it clean before you leave.
