Worst experience with a VRBO
The owner and the management team at this VRBO are the most unkind, unprofessional people I have had to deal with in over 20 years of traveling on business and personally. The property and the location is amazing. This was our second year staying at the ICON but if you can STAY AWAY from this unit.
Now for the story. The property says it accommodates 6 people. When I had initially booked the property it was only me my husband and our toddler and baby going so 2 adults, 2 kids. Since then my parents and brother joined the group. So we were 5 adults, one 3 year old and one baby (18 months). I did not change the reservation but when asked by Betzy about who was traveling I gave them ALL the names and they didnt say that was a problem. Granted we were one baby over the 6 people but my daughter sleep with us and we would not need a separate bed (they even offered a crib and I said we don't need it).
Instead of being kind and working with me on this both the owner and the property manager kept repeating to me that the initial booking said 4 and had no answer as to why they didn't alert me to this when i sent them the names of 7 people traveling.What is more they left me outside with two kids for hours.Bottom line is we found a different property that was set up the same way and enjoyed our vacation.
When they could have gotten a loyal customer that would come back to the property for years they ruined the beginning of our vacation.This is NOT how business should be conducted.
