Oakleigh House, Walk to Mardi Gras, Sleeps 6

Location! Location! Location! Y’all will enjoy easy access to everything from this place. Walking distance from the Mardi Gras Parade Route, Washington Square, famous local restaurants and the Oakleigh house museum. This 1200 sq foot beauty boasts 12 foot ceilings throughout and sleeps 4 comfortably in beds (let us know if you plan to have more - we might be able to accommodate you). Not to mention, you're just 5 min from the tunnel to head to 3 beaches that are just 45 min - 1.15 hrs away (Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, Pensacola) and from Dauphin Island.
The space
This place is huge for a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom abode. King George the 1st boasts 12 foot ceilings, beautiful hardwood floors, updated kitchen tile and countertops and lots of space! We also have a fire pit on the front porch, and outside seating with a table and chairs in the back which makes a great spot to enjoy the beautiful weather in Mobile (at least in the fall, winter and spring).

The best part about this location is MARDI GRAS - from here you're just a short walk away from the parade route!

While we have spots for 4/5 guests to sleep in beds (1 full size sofa bed, 1 king bed, and a twin cot that could be available), we are open to discussing other options to house more people in this unit (don't hesitate to reach out and discuss unique situations you might have). Extra sheets available on request and extra pillows are located in the closet.

We do allow pets at this location, but because of the historic nature of this property would prefer if you’d contact us about specific pet requests you might have.

Callaghan's Irish Pub (best BURGER ever - get the Big Mic), Washington Square Park, the Oakleigh House Museum, Hummingbird Oyster Bar, among other great restaurants and local sights are just short walks from this location! I'm telling you - you won't be disappointed when booking at George!

Sidenote: There are 3 steps to get inside from the front and back, but once inside there aren't any steps at all.

This unit is in a triplex - it has its own entrance and none of the space (besides the parking in the back and front porch in the front) is shared. If you have more people and would like to book more than one of these units at the same location - contact me and we might be able to work out a better deal for booking more than one unit.

Guest access
Easy Access throughout the neighborhood - just use your GPS to get where you need to go. Parking can be tight around here. There is 1 off street parking spot available at all times for Unit 1 (though if the other units aren't booked, more could be available), but street parking is always an option.
Other things to note:
Please contact us about your pet requests. We allow pets here, but animals are never allowed on furniture or allowed to be left alone without being crated. If you have anything more specific - don’t hesitate to contact us!
