Take it easy at this Ochockonee bay-waterfront cottage getaway. Sits on a beautiful 1/2 acre wooded lot with old Florida charm. This home has been updated and has a very cozy interior. Do some fishing with 100ft of saltwater or just put your toes in the sand on your own beach in the backyard. Relax with those that matter the most. Boat ramp 5 mins away. There is room to park your boat or RV. Amazing sunsets from the porch over the water is a must see. 10mins to bald point Beach for best sunrise you can ask for.

What a wonderful gem of a place! Fabulous location and so peaceful and beautiful directly on the water! We had a wonderful fire in the outdoor fire pit and the house had everything we needed for our stay. The hosts kept in touch and were easy to communicate with. Great stay. I’d definitely return for a longer stay!!!

Awesome little hideaway! Peaceful retreat to rejuvenate with top shelf sunsets, amazing. Close to restaurants, sea lab, Mash’s Sand beach, Alligator Point and State park. Host was super too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 day stay at the Hideaway Beach Cottage. Agnes was great! She offered to give us early check in to the cottage and sent us suggestions of places to eat and places to see. The little town of Panecea is a nice place to visit for a relaxing vacation and the sunsets were beautiful. We sat by the fire a couple of nights-very cozy in November. Both of the seafood restaurants were wonderful but we especially enjoyed the food at Tropical Trader Shrimp Co. The shrimp and grits was wonderful and the oysters. We plan on a second visit.

Perfect place to unwind and unplug. Wonderful views of the bay from sunrise to sunset. Great place to bring kayaks and bicycles. We had a great time here just relaxing.

The location was perfect, right on the water, very quiet and relaxing. The cottage had everything you needed for your stay. Just what I was looking for. My furbabies enjoyed it as well.

We so enjoyed our vacation!! Only issue was saying it’s wheelchair accessible is not true, luckily my sister brought her portable ramps because the front door IS NOT WHEELCHAIR FRIENDLY!!! If it has a step up

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage! So peaceful and relaxing
 The cottage is beautifully decorated, quite comfortable and very clean with generous supplies of linens, paper goods, and other essentials. Management was courteous and friendly and responded quickly to inquiries.There are lots of dining options within a very short distance. We had wonderful seafood (of course), barbecue (excellent), and delicious pasta. The view of the water is absolutely gorgeous
 We saw dolphins, egrets, schools of fish, and lots of birds and playful squirrels. The sunsets were amazing! A wonderful experience

Beautiful relaxing vacation. Our dogs had the best time!

The cottage was perfect for our family’s yearly girls vacation. It was a nice relaxing and laidback trip. We loved being close to the local restaurants. The screened porch was perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. We enjoyed beautiful sunsets every evening. The fire pit was nice for roasting marshmallows. Our dogs loved the big beautiful yard. We saw white squirrels and dolphins during our stay. One of our highlights of the trip was visiting the Gulf Specimen Aquarium, which is an amazing place to experience some of the local Marine life. They have a darling rescue turtle named Lil Herc. Our trip was a wonderful time for making memories and the cottage was the perfect place to do that. We will definitely be back!

Panacea is a place for healing, for relaxing and enjoying family. We will be back, it has been the best vacation ever. The house is amazing and the bed was so comfortable it was hard not to just lay around. The house is clean and we wanted for nothing. Anges was amazing and also very helpful with the best places to eat. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet, peace and rest. Thank you Anges

Great little spot

As our first time in Florida, this was the best place to stay. The home being right on the beach was perfect. It was so beautiful, the house stayed cool and had everything we needed for our stay. The screened in porch with a big yard was great for our kids and dog! The hosts were easy to communicate with. We had the best time !

Nature lovers

My husband and I enjoyed the week exploring the area’s beautiful wildlife habitats. The aquarium in town is a must see. The home was cute and very clean and convenient for our adventures. Agnes was very helpful with recommendations and every restaurant we tried was very good. My way seafood has the best and freshest seafood! The area has a fishing camp vibe which we love

Weekend Getaway

I booked this home for a quick weekend getaway for my birthday. I wanted something on the water but not packed with tourists. The waterfront view coupled with the large screened-in porch was very nice. The house was as listed and had everything we needed for the stay. It is in close proximity (walking distance) to several of the local restaurants and a store. There were many species of song and water birds on the property and the bonus to the weekend was seeing a leucistic (white) squirrel in the front yard. I would definitely recommend if you are looking for quiet seclusion.
