Little Blue Cottage - wooded getaway, near beaches and towns

Our cozy, family-friendly, newly remodeled cottage is a stone's throw from Lake Michigan and near Harbor Shores. Great location for peace and quiet, surrounded by trees on a large wooded property and isolated from any nearby neighbors. It's close to beautiful downtown St. Joseph, but also not far at all to South Haven and Coloma. Beaches, boating, several golf courses and great dining are all closeby. Home is quiet, private, clean and cozy.

Vaulted ceilings over the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Two general sleeping areas: one we like to call the "Lake Suite" with 3 beds, study area and sink, and the other slepping area contains 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. Reclaimed wood can be found throughout the cottage from the former fruit stand that once was on the property. Everything here is brand new including the kitchen, bathroom, flooring and carpet, windows, paint and trim. We wanted to create a very comfortable space that would provide a cozy experience for you to relax and unwind all year. Check out the photos, we think you'll enjoy it!!

Rural wooded setting across the street from Lake Michigan. Closest neighbors are over 300' away. 8 minute drive from St Joseph and 20 minute drive from South Haven.

The exterior driveway is monitored by exterior camera for security and safety.

Adorable little blue cottage. It worked out for a weekend away with our 3 year old and 4 month old. Cons- 1 bathroom.. ants in bathroom.. dirty vent… long grassCool across from the lake just wish public access to beach closer. We liked Rocky Gap.Pros- entrance to cottage surprising and updated. It sounds like a fun getaway with your little ones! We appreciate you sharing a few areas for improvement. We’ve followed up with our cleaning team regarding the vents. Being surrounded by nature near the lake, on rare occasions nature can still find their way inside despite routine pest control, and last week's spring rains caused the grass to grow quickly before our landscaping team could address it. Me and the girls had a wonderful weekend for our girls mini getaway. Kira was a wonderful host! Great communication throughout the whole process. The cottage was so nice and very clean. We did not struggle to get inside at all. The cottage is close to all the shops and the beach. Everyone is so nice, everywhere we went. We will definitely come back! The home was exactly as described. Clean, comfortable and a well stocked kitchen. Myself and my two besties enjoyed staying at the cottage. The weather was perfect for a bonfire every night. The first night we had enough firewood but then ran out. The host was responsive and a new rack of wood was brought in. I highy recommend this place. Only negative, is the house sits on a busy road. Couldn’t hear anything in side, but could get noisy when outside. We will be back.

Fun stay - close to everything!

We had a great stay visiting family in Michigan. So much to do and everything is very close to the cottage (downtown St. Joes, Silver Beach, etc). The cottage is awesome for families and we felt like we had room to spread out. Host was also very communicative. Thanks for a fun trip!

Perfect location

This place was perfect for a long weekend beach vacation with a family of teenagers! Just close enough to great beaches and shopping. The house was adorable and had ample space for all of us. The teens enjoyed their own “space” with the bonus room!

Perfect for Quiet Weekend

My wife and I just wanted a quiet, comfortable weekend away, and we definitely got it here. The amenities are great if you plan to hibernate, the property is clean and homey, and Kira’s communication throughout the process has been great. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great place for a family. The place isn't only exceptionally clean, it's well decorated and very comfortable. Loved how they had coffee sitting ready for us to use in the morning. Only 5 minutes north of St. Joseph (i.e. great location). Hosts were extremely responsive and very nice. Great stay!

Fun weekend!

We had a family wedding in St. Joseph and this place was the perfect house to rent for the weekend. House was super clean and had all the amenities we were looking for. Very close to a public beach and felt so secluded from all the other homes in the area! Would go back again!

Over the years, we found our families often in Southwest Michigan and so
when we had the opportunity to find a cottage we loved we knew that it
would be something our guests would love as well!
We know first-hand traveling with kids isn't always easy, so we try to
accommodate the littlest of guests. We hope that the space we've provided
for you is a cozy and comfortable setting for you to make memories with
your friends and family!
