Cabane en rondins au bord du lac Tunk dans DownEast Main

Réservation pour l'été 2020. L'été 2019 était solide en septembre 2018. Fin septembre et octobre 2019 toujours disponible.

Le camp Taylor est accessible aux familles qui souhaitent passer des vacances tranquilles et relaxantes sur l'un des lacs les plus beaux et les plus privés de toute la Nouvelle-Angleterre. Cinq milles de long, le lac Tunk n'a que 12 chalets sur les 2/3 sud du lac. Le camp Taylor est parfait pour vos vacances en famille. La cabine est une cabane en rondins avec toutes les commodités de la maison: TV satellite / Internet, laveuse / sécheuse, moustiquaire sous véranda ... et bien plus. Ça ne va pas mieux que ça! DownEast Magazine (juin 2019) a nommé Tunk Lake l'un des 32 "grands étangs" les plus appréciés du Maine, chacun avec son propre caractère et son charme.

Commerces locaux et installations médicales: Ellsworth est à environ 30 minutes du camp Taylor. Il comprend 2 chaînes d'épiceries (Hanaford & Shaws), WalMart, Fast Food (McDonalds, Wendys, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Friendly's, Taco Bell, etc.), Home Depot, Hospital, Walk-in Medical Clinic, et bien plus encore.

Lieu: Lac Tunk: Il y a la natation, la randonnée, le mont. escalade, navigation de plaisance, pêche sur le lac Tunk, et comme le lac a si peu de cabanes, la circulation des bateaux est très légère. Aucun Jet Skis n'est autorisé (par la loi).

Bar Harbor est une belle vieille ville de la Nouvelle-Angleterre et un incontournable. LE PARC NATIONAL ACADIA est le seul parc national du nord-est. Ne manquez pas Schoodic Point qui fait partie du parc national Acadia et qui se trouve juste en haut de la côte dans la région de Winter Harbour.

Restaurants: Il existe de nombreux restaurants entre Tunk Lake et Ellsworth, dans la région de Winter Harbour et à Bar Harbor. Il y en a pour tous les goûts, de toutes les grandes chaînes de restauration rapide (à Ellsworth) à une cuisine très raffinée.

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful vacation home/property! It came with so many great amenities that made our stay extra comfortable, from a fully stocked kitchen to great outdoor seating and everything in between. Peace and tranquility

This was our third stay at Taylor Camp and we just love it. Privacy, privacy, privacy. So nice to be able to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings with quiet and no activity other than your own. The home is lovely, water crystal clear. A wonderful place.

Pristine cabin and location

We enjoyed how thoughtfully supplied the Taylor camp is. The lake is perfect for swimming and kayaking - some of the most pleasant water ever. My kids found the location a little remote since we rarely even heard another person but the adults really loved this aspect!

An amazing stay!

This was our second stay at Taylor Cabin. The cabin is welcoming and comfortable, the lake views are beautiful, and we’ve never been anywhere more peaceful and secluded! We spent most of our time floating and kayaking on the lake or sitting on the dock just enjoying the picturesque views and the nighttime stars. Day trips to Winter Harbor, Bar Harbor, and Acadia were also highlights. Hope to return again in the future!

Taylor Camp

The Taylor camp was wonderful, well equipped and very clean. The property manager was very thoughtful and reached out several times to make sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. The view of the stars from the dock was breathtaking.

Family get away

Terrific restful and private escape to the beauty of nature and crystal clears waters of Tunk Lake. We loved kayaking, canoeing, and snorkeling as well as venturing over to Acadia national park for several days of hiking. The cabin was fully stocked, clean and comfortable. The beds were comfy and the layout was perfect! Thank you!

8 Years of fabulous family vacations on Tunk Lake at this cabin! We can't be more thankful to Jim and his Family for sharing their Maine Camp on Tunk with us. We also, recommend renting a boat from Rob Marshall at Downeast Boat Rental to create even more fabulous family memories.

My father built the Taylor Camp for his family in 1992 so it was not built as a typical rental property. It is only available for rental a few weeks a year in the summer and fall. Buying land on Tunk Lake is virtually impossible at any price as it is heavily protected by conservation easements.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

The camp is on 15 acres and has 1,000' of shoreline. There are only about a dozen camps at the southern 2/3 of the lake so it is quiet and peaceful. The camp is well maintained which is why we have gotten such great reviews. Although it is off the beaten path, it has all the conveniences of home and is only 30 minutes from Ellsworth which has all your shopping needs.

The Taylor Camp is 100% log cabin with not a single piece of sheetrock. Just look at all the 5 star reviews. You are not really roughing it at the Taylor Camp, but you can tell your friends you are.
