Set on its own hilltop in The Galena Territory, Tower House is all about privacy, views, and a setting that feels completely removed while still being just minutes from town.

The pool is now open for the season. Early spring, many guests enjoy it as a cold plunge—especially paired with the cedar sauna. If you prefer it heated, that’s available for early-season stays for an additional fee, just let us know in advance.

The property itself is what people remember most. Wide-open views, quiet surroundings, and regular wildlife—cow, deer, wild turkey, birds all moving through the hills. The landscaping has been thoughtfully built out with wildflowers, hydrangeas and boxwoods around the pool, weeping willows in the back, and flowering trees out front.

Inside, the home is designed for groups who want to be together without feeling on top of each other. There are four bedrooms, multiple living spaces, and an easy flow between indoor and outdoor areas. It works just as well for a long dinner with friends as it does for a quiet morning overlooking the hills.

What makes this place different are the features you don’t usually find together: a private saltwater pool, hot tub, outdoor cedar sauna, and a true observatory tower with 360° views. Being in a certified Dark Sky community, the stargazing here is something people don’t expect—and end up talking about long after.

The home sleeps 10 comfortably (3 kings + 2 queens) and includes a fully equipped kitchen, indoor and outdoor dining, fireplace, 75” TV, and Bang & Olufsen sound system. Interiors are currently being refreshed with updated furnishings and finishes, with new photos coming soon.

You’re a short drive from downtown Galena and Chestnut Mountain Resort, along with golf, the marina, and trails—but most guests end up spending more time at the house than they planned.

There’s also an EV charger, high-speed WiFi, keyless entry, fire pit, and access to the Owners Club with pools, fitness, and courts, plus Lake Galena.

The house was perfect for our group! Very comfy beds, lots of room to spread out, gorgeous spaces
we loved it all! The kitchen was well stocked; the only thing we thought was missing were wine glasses. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home.

Cool vistas and scenic views

Very nice and accommodating for a family gathering. Lots of space yet plenty of privacy in the many different rooms that offer guests places to retreat for solitude when looking to get away from the crowd. We went in the fall but look forward to a return in the summer to use all of the outdoor activities that are available.

Family Getaway in Galena Territory

Tower House is a great place for a family vacation. It’s cozy, bright and comfortable. With bedrooms located on all three levels, it provides guests with space and privacy. The main level has plenty of gathering space that spills out onto a large deck with great views. The property is clean and well maintained and comes with a completely outfitted kitchen. The location is quiet and beautiful. I highly recommend Tower House.

Family Getaway

Our stay at the Tower House was amazing. We enjoyed everything this house had to offer; hot tub, sauna, games, family dinners. The house is very spacious with plenty of room for the entire family and provided the ability for the kids to do “their own things” throughout our stay.Ron was prompt with answering any of our questions prior to our stay. Since we were arriving later in the evening, he left the lights on to welcome us.We would recommend the Tower house!

Fun and versatile house

The house has a beautiful view while offering total privacy. The layout of the house affords lots of room to gather but also cozy private spaces. As the earliest riser in the family, I loved drinking my first cup of coffee on the private upstairs deck. This house will be doubly spectacular once the inground swimming pool is completed. Unfortunately we were too busy with the kids to enjoy the hot tub or sauna.

As advertised!

We rented this house for a 4-night stay to celebrate my dad’s 85th birthday. It was exactly what we had hoped for. We had the fireplace going every night, stayed in and cooked two of the nights, and had movie night each night. The convenience store a few minutes from the house had everything we needed but forgot to bring! The house was super cozy and comfortable. The check-in process was a breeze and communications were timely. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a nice little getaway with the family or large group!

Gorgeous Home & Great Views

We love visiting the Galena area. This home is perfectly situated in the Galena Ridge Territory area. The property and home are very well kept and there is ample space for a family to relax. The outdoor space is wonderful and the warm pool and hot tub are terrific. Plenty of land for kids to run around too. The bathrooms and kitchen are not new but extremely well kept and clean. There was ample key items like dish soap, detergent, toilet paper, pool towels. Many places skimp and this place did not! It’s little things like this that go a long way!! We loved it here and intend to visit again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous place for 3 generations

We had a perfect 4-day vacation there. It is a beautiful house in a great location. There was room for all nine of us to play together and also to find a space for some alone time. We hung out and relaxed. We cooked together in the well-stocked kitchen. We played games in the house and on the large area of mowed grass. The kids swam and played in three pools in the owner's club. The adults used the work out room and the tennis courts there. We went horse back riding at a stable a short 8 minute drive from the house. We want to come back next summer!

Stunning house in a great location

This amazingly beautiful, cozy home was just what the doctor ordered for a college roommate reunion. The house comfortably sleeps 10 and there is a lot of space for everyone to spread out. Almost all of the appliances are brand new. The hot tub and sauna were a nice touch and in good condition. Having access to wood for the wood burning fireplace in the main living room was lovely. Sitting in that main room, which overlooked the scenic valley, watching it snow, was a highlight of our trip. The convenience of the house to the main road was also nice for trips to town. The furniture was comfortable. Communication with the owner was easy and quick. Overall, I would highly recommend this property. It is beautiful and provided a great space for a weekend that we will never forget.
