Cute, rustic cabin in a beautiful location. The outdoor spaces were numerous and we took advantage of all of them. The large porch was perfect for gathering with our local family members and the hot tub was perfect at the end of a long day!Damon was a great host and very responsive. We would definitely stay at Little Bear again.

Great Stay!
We just wanted a quick and easy get away to relax and spend time together. This place was great for that. Cool old cabin that's been thoughtfully updated, very functional and still has old charm. The outside space with decks and fire pit were a lot of fun. Very pet friendly, with the fully fenced yard - our dog loved exploring the property.

We stayed in this charming cabin for 2 weeks during the time we were waiting for the movers to deliver our belongings and while we set up our new home. We had several family members stay with us to lend a hand. Although a small, 2- bedroom cabin, it is very accessible with a covered ramped walkway from the paved driveway to the front door and no threshold barriers inside. It has a deck that wraps around the cabin. The bedroom doorways are narrow for a wheelchair, but it is not very far from the door to the bed, so if a wheelchair user can walk a few feet, it works. The bathroom has a walk-in shower with a built-in seat, and it includes a washer/dryer in the bathroom. Given our situation, it was a plus that they allowed dogs here. The yard is beautiful, full of blooming rhododendrons and other shrubs, and lots of woods for the dogs to explore. My dogs were entertained by squirrels jumping through the trees and a raccoon that visited us one evening. There are two areas where you can access the river, but they are very rocky and require good physical skills to traverse. Very nice neighborhood.

Cool Cabin
Hot tub needs to be drained or cleaned. Spider webs and dirty outside the cabin. Not close to the access to the river. It was a nice place but those were the things we noticed

Thank you for your feedback Neal, I'm sorry that we didn't hear from you about the amenity issues during your stay. The cabin is in a rural setting so some outdoor spiderwebs happen; our professional housekeeping service takes care of cleaning but could have missed something. They handle hot tub cleaning too so I'll pass on your feedback about the hot tub. We post their contact information in the check in instructions and inside the cabin for issues during stays, and they can help with such things as hot tub problems. River access is about a 5-7 minute walk along the private road to the private community access, which may not have been very clear in the listing; I'll fix that for future guests. Thank you for staying with us!
