Welcome to our cozy studio apartment, nestled beneath our main house with its own private entrance! Located on a picturesque 77-acre working horse farm, this charming retreat offers a unique blend of rural tranquility and convenient access to outdoor adventures.

We enjoyed our stay greatly. The hosts were incredibly friendly and the studio was clean, quite and comfortable. The location was central to everything we wanted to do. We would absolutely stay here again if we ever make it back to Maine.

The place is great for us. Location makes this place very relaxing with all the animals too. Tundra the male cat came in and made himself right at home. We will miss him. Looking forward to next year.

The location is beautiful and the place is as advertised. The bed was comfy. It was under 25 minutes to get to Yarmouth where family was staying and on the way to Mt. Abrams to do some biking on the ski slopes. The ceilings are a little low (it has a drop ceiling) and there aren’t many uncluttered surfaces.

The apartment was a great place to stay. I saw the owners briefly, but didn't have to ask them for anything. Definitely a peaceful place. Even took a walk around the farm and got to see some of the horses. One even came up to the fence. Short distance to many places. Would consider staying there again.

A little off the road, but quiet, peaceful and comfortable. owners are wonderfully nice. pleasure to talk to. even got a tour and visit of the horses! highly recommend for a couple or family of 4!

Oh, we were charmed by this lovely apartment in the home of our host. Even though it might technically be considered a studio (lack of doors) the layout was generous and comfortable for our family (with two teenagers!). The beds, linens and pillows were very comfortable.Check-in was a breeze. The kitchen had everything we needed, including thoughtful extras like coffee, snacks, and bottled water. If you love nature, quiet and animals, you will love the horse farm.Our second night, we visited Brickyard Brewery, just a few minutes away. Despite its name, it is a family-friendly restaurant with great food.We will surely go out of our way to stay at the farm again.

Bates parent visiting student, this is a perfect place to stay

Can’t say enough good things about this place. The property is gorgeous, the animals are fun, the host is friendly and welcoming, the apartment has so many nice touches to make your stay comfortable. This is my favorite place to stay when visiting my kiddo. I wish I could come visit more often.

Visiting our Son in Auburn.

We stayed at Teresa and Ken's beautiful studio apartment for 9 nights. We had come over to America from England, for the first time, to visit our Son who has a soccer scholarship at Central Maine Community College in Auburn. This was the most amazing 9 days in New Gloucester at Taildragger Stables. Teresa had thought of everything from the treats on arrival to the property, to everything you could possibly need in the home including hair dryer, hair straighteners, spare toothbrushes, toiletries, coffee machine etc. This was complete 'home from home'. The apartment was very warm, comfortable and welcoming and they had done everything possible to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. I would absolutely recommend this property, and really hope we can return one day. Our Son particularly loved their cat that came in for attention, and we enjoyed pottering around the stables looking at the horses, goats and pony. This was a great area for relaxing and also exploring - Boston, Freeport, Portland, Kennebunkport, Camden, Salem - the list is endless! I am missing the views we woke up to each morning now we are home! Thanks for the most amazing stay!

Very pleasant

The owners were very friendly and nice. We enjoyed the privacy and very much enjoyed all their animals. Because of our age walking down the hill to the door was a little challenging in the dark but we should have brought a flashlight. The light on my phone wasn’t enough. Being a country girl myself I felt at home.

Bates college parents weekend visit

Return visit for me but this time bringing my husband. I’m impressed as always with the beautiful setting and the sweet details Teresa puts into the stay! From the snack basket to eggs and (Kate’s!!) butter in the fridge. She makes the place cozy and comfortable!

Better than the pictures

Great stay. Hit the mark on the things that matter. Comfortable pillows, comfortable bed and clean. The location wasn't too far from the airport as we were looking for a quiet, peaceful location. We've stayed at other rentals in the city and there was too much neighbor noise. This was so perfect for our style, quiet. Perfect for a couple or a parent(s) and child. Although quiet and remote there are plenty of places 10-15 minutes away to grab food if desired. Thank you!! The stay was everything we hoped for. God bless!!

Relaxing countryside studio

We could not ask for more our host was fantastic, super friendly and approachable, our dog banjo got to make friends with one of the cats. Our accommodations were exactly how they were described and more. The little touches that they added Really makes a big difference. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

My husband and I have been in Maine for twenty years but only in New Gloucester for six. I have a love of horses, and he has a love for flying. We have four grown children and our first grandchild in 2024 (boy) our second grandson is on the way in July 2026. We have lots of four-legged babies which you will meet during your stay. We enjoy the outdoors and when not working our full-time jobs we will be doing what we love, riding and flying.
