Our jewel-box studio has been designed with upmost attention to details to serve as a petite retreat after a long day of sightseeing or work in the Bay Area. It's conveniently located only a few blocks away from Lake Merritt and with very easy access to SF. It has been equipped with a spacious shower with potent water pressure and a comfortable bed with luxury bedding and towels. It is located in a quite street were you'll be able to rest and restore your energy for the next day.

    Style & Value

    This is a conveniently located little pied a terre near Lake Merritt. It is quiet and cheerful. Comfortable bed. Parking very easy, but you could get by with just public transport here. Sweet place!

    A perfect getaway

    It was a perfect match for my weekend. A quaint place with everything that I needed. I had all the utensils to be able to cook. A very nice place to relax between running errands with family. It is close to almost every activity over the weekend. I will definitely return to this place again next time.

    Overall it was nice. Parking was a challenge. One improvement needed: a trash receptacle that can hold a 13-gallon garbage bag in the kitchen area.

    Francisco is a Cuban attorney who is now an aspiring interior designer after working in the legal field for over 30 years.

    Angel has had an extensive practice as a therapist; now he works for Kaiser Foundation in different capacities. He is originally from Spain.

    We divide our time between the San Francisco Bay Area, Miami and Malaga Spain. Please consider staying with us at our other homes, Apartamento Somera in Malaga or in any of our other 3 listings in this very same building (El Refugio, El Nido and La Guarida). Malaga is the hidden gem of the South of Spain; it’s the capital city of Costa del Sol and a wonderful place to visit.

It also has a functional work space and a high definition TV with all possible entertainment available. The bathroom is a mini heavenly spa packed with adorable decor and useful details. The courtyard is an outdoor space also destined and designed for your enjoyment. It certainly adds up to square footage that we put to your service and benefit. There is no way you will not fall in love with El Refugio.
