We were very disappointed with this rental. After raising our concerns upon arrival, the owner never replied to our message. The home was not clean — dust throughout, dog fur from prior tenants, and appliances that were dirty enough we avoided using them. The microwave barely worked and required multiple attempts just to reheat food.The flooring was in extremely poor condition and unsafe. Our kids even referred to it as the “squishy house” because some spots were bowed and raised while others sank underfoot. This made navigating the home increasingly difficult and stressful, especially with a child who is wheelchair-bound. The listing stating nothing of the above damage, and we stayed 10 days. On top of that, there are no exterior motion lights, making it unsafe and uncomfortable to return after dark. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, upkeep, safety, and communication made for a very poor and disappointing experience.

I honestly can’t believe this house is even being offered in its condition. The floors on the entire left side of the house are soft and sink when you walk on them. There is also a huge lump in the middle on the kitchen floor. The owner informed us of this problem 20 minutes before we arrived for check in. Owner didn’t send us the check in information until we asked for it the day before our trip. She waited two days to respond to a concern about the garbage being full. There was a grill offered, but it was dirty and there was no propane. The house smells like mildew. The a/c units smell and doesn’t work properly and turn on and off constantly, so you can’t sleep. The bed in that first room has a large brown stain on the mattress, right where your head should go, and was covered with hair. The mattresses in the other two rooms had plastic covers on them, which were very uncomfortable to lay on. Nobody slept well, but that could have been from the squeaky metals beds. There were also pillows with huge disgusting stains on them. All the pillows were flat as a pancake and there weren’t enough pillows for everyone. The bathroom doors are very hard to open and close. There were towels provided, and many of them had large stains on them. The towel bar in the bathroom was not secure and fell on my daughter’s foot. The back bedroom had the dirtiest fan I have ever seen. Nobody should stay here.

Mini Beach Getaway

This was the perfect location for our mini beach getaway. Close enough to the beach, but far away enough from the crowds. Also had plenty of things to do in the area! Great stay!

Overall nice stay. Home was very clean. We were able to bring our dogs. Nice yard to walk them in. Grill available. Screened porch was nice. 15min from Bethany.
