One of our favourites in the Bay Villas

We have stayed in this unit a number of times over the past 10 years. This year, all of the furniture is new and the central A/C is fixed after 2 years using noisy portable units. It has one of the best ocean views on the property. Kitchen and bathrooms are dated compared to most other units, but that might be why the price is lower as well.

Kapalua Paradise

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We love Kapalua and this villa is perfect for an ocean front view. It is close to hike the trails along the beach, right next to a pool, and a short hike to the beach. It has 2 masters with large master baths, though a tad outdated. One of the masters has a noisy portable air conditioned unit which was annoying as it boomed off and on periodically through the night. The other master with 2 queens is much nicer and more updated. There is a 3rd bathroom with a shower that is nice. The kitchen is nice and has lots of supplies. The unit had 4 beach chairs and a boogie board which was wonderful! Mostly, we loved that this unit is upstairs so it makes it easier to load and unload your car. There are gorgeous views! The pic with the chaise is from a small bedroom balcony. The larger balcony across the front of the villa is very shallow so it can only accommodate chairs. Basically, the unit’s local is great and the furnishings are nice. We will be back again!

Incredible views, great location, not toddler friendly

What was great: Incredible views (best in my life), very comfortable and clean beds, great location, shuttle is available to ride around Kapalua (which was very convenient with small kids). The unit itself is very spacious. There were 6 of us and it felt very comfortable. What needs to be improved: The property itself is outdated. I understand renovation can cost a lot, but having at least couple upgraded pans/coffee maker/electric tea pot would make a huge difference. We were not able to enjoy the balcony/lanai in the master bedroom. There was a wet, dirty carpet with a terrible smell that needs to be removed. It stays under rain and never gets dry. Dirty/old carpets in the property. No beach toys/games/boogie boards found for small kids which are usually available

Great Views but a Few Issues

When I booked in February, we noticed from prior reviews that the AC wasn't working. I emailed the host agency and they assured me that it was repaired so I booked for November. The repairs turned out to be portable AC units which were so loud we couldn't sleep with them on. That's a problem. Also, the portable units do not get below 72 degrees. I notified the host agency on the first day and they couldn't do anything because they said that the part to repair the AC hasn't come in. That's almost 9 months! One other minor issue that I had to report, the speakers on the TV in the living room were blown making it tough to understand words. This unit has one of the best views at the Villas, it's a shame that the owner doesn't maintain the property to the high standard it deserves.

Nice Place

The unit was as expected though for some reason the place was littered with mobile AC units. Perhaps the central AC unit was out but we just turned them all off. Have to say it was kinda funky having all those machines around with cords and the vent ducts laying all around.

Great Location

We came to celebrate a niece’ bday. The villa is in a great location, close to everything. We barely left Kapalua for dinner. There’s so many places to eat in and nearby Napoli. Our villa is very nice. Probably needs a bit of an upgrade, especially the the furnitures. But not enough to keep us from coming back.

Amazing location with ocean views

The property is perfect for a family vacation. Pool and beach access are only 1-2 minutes Each. The views overlooking the bay and ocean great and much better than what was anticipated.

Amazing Views

The views from this condo were absolutely amazing ! The entire complex was a beautiful property. We walked to the little Cafe/Market close to the Ritz every morning for coffee. Steps right outside the condo lead to the beach and a hiking trail. The interior had plenty of space for our family that included 2 adults and 4 teens 15/15/17/17. Two master suite bathrooms that were huge and a smaller bathroom with a shower. Kitchen was completely stocked and plenty of linens as well. Small air conditioning issue when we arrived - that we called on and they had someone there within 10 minutes - Great Service !! One of the pools on the property is right outside your front steps and hardly anyone was ever there. Totally recommend this property !!!

Wonderful Getaway

Our family of 6 had such a wonderful time staying here. There is a calm beach (Kapalua bay beach), a wavy beach/windy beach (Oneola beach), and even some cliff jumping (Namlu Bay) all within walking distance!! The only thing we would have done different is stock up and just eat all our meals at the Condo. Most of the restaurants close by were weeks long waiting lists, or outside the shuttle area. All in all this was a fantastic place to stay for some amazing memories.

The bedrooms both have spacious and luxurious master baths and balconies attached for privacy. Kitchen was stocked with what we needed to prepare meals and there were beach chairs and towels ready for use. Vacation of a lifetime!

Views did not disappoint

Overall very pleased. Property is clean. Could use a couple new frying pans. Very satisfied I didn’t have to go buy dish and laundry soap, as it was supplied. Day one and two, there was an issue with AC, but maintenance quickly supplied portable units. However the units were loud and drowned out surf sound which we enjoy. We will be back. Maholo

On the Cliff just above the crashing waves

This is the best located Bay Villa. It is the front most Bay Villa Above the crashing waves. Everything is close and the sea trail along the ocean edge is just a few steps away. The unit was very clean and stocked with all you might need to cook. The sheets were hotel quality and even though the kitchen hasn’t been redone since the original build I loved it because I remember it from the ‘70 s when it was new. All is in good shape.

Ocean front with great views

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The previous renter probably loved the heat, and kept the windows open and the A/C off. When we got there, the A/C was not strong enough to cool the unit below 80F, and we had to deal with 3 cockroaches in the first 2 days. However, the property manager was quick to bring in 2 portable units to help cool the suite, and we never saw another cockroach once we kept the windows and doors closed. The unit has not been updated in a while. For example, the kitchen countertops are old 2 inch tiles, and it is impossible to keep all of that grout clean. However, everything works, and the price is lower than the neighbouring units that have been renovated more recently. The large appliances are all reasonably new and work well. We have stayed here several times over the years, and already have plans to return next year. The pools and barbeques are very close by, as is the beach at Oneloa Bay. The free resort shuttle service is great for getting to 2 of the best beaches on the Island - Napili and D.T. Flemming - or to the local ABC store for coffee and food staples.

Incredible location

Incredible location with amazing views! Walking distance to several beaches and 2 pools next to the condo (one above the Parking lot and the one below our lanai). Bedrooms and bathrooms were a good size, also with views of the ocean. We watched sunsets every night at the dinner table or walked out on to the grass or rock cliffs. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you for a great place to vacation!!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The views were as advertised and very wonderful. The unit itself was in need of a lot of upgrades in order to be considered a gold level unit. Location alone should not be the only determining factor. The furnishings were extremely dated. The kitchen was very small fairly well equipped but mainly a one person kitchen. We have stayed in many different units in the Ridge and the Bay Villas over the years. This unit does have exceptional views, would be nice to have a larger lani but being its on the second floor, not possible. It was nice to be so near the pool and we enjoyed watching the weddings taken place on the rocks in front of the unit. We will rent in the Bay Villas again but probably a unit that is on ground level and that has been updated.

Kapalua Bay

We used this condo as our base camp for 5 nights of fun. The view is outstanding and under Covid times, very quite; I would guess less than 20% occupancy. We did not realize that it would be windy constantly, but found that aspect nice since you don't overheat. The ocean is clean/warm/beautiful. Hiking is limited locally, but it's an island, nothing is too far away... We found enough beach snorkeling to be entertained, bought cheap stuff at the ABC markets and just left it when we departed (same price as a two hour rental). I really do believe our only request would have been for a hot-tub, this is a reinforced request from the residents in the complex as well!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this unit was exceptional. The views of Molokai were breathtaking. Whales and dolphins were seen daily. The furnishings were a little tired and could have used some updating. The beds were a bit uncomfortable. Loved the place and with a few updates the unit goes from a 4 star to a 5 star.
