A clean & inviting Casita awaits & includes a comfortable bed, spacious bathroom with quality towels & tasty coffee to start your day.
During the day, relax in outdoor hammocks or play disc golf - 3 baskets & discs provided! In the evening, a playfully lit trail leads to hammocks for stargazing under the special dark skies!

Very popular destination Great Sand Dunes National Park is a 69 mile drive. Casita is a perfect distance as there are not many other options for stops along the way or coming back.

Conveniently located just minutes to Lathrop State Park and Martin Lake/Horseshoe Lake/Walsenburg Golf Course, Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center and Veterans Hospital are 2 miles away. Local destinations: Walsenburg is a 6 minute drive. La Veta is 15 a minute drive, Cuchara and other attractions like Cuchara Mountain Park are an easy drive up Highway of Legends Scenic Byway. Huerfano County's abundance of beautiful scenery is a hidden gem and definitely worth taking time to explore. Let me know if you would like any recommendations!

The Casita is on a property with 1.5 acres of land and set back from the road. County roads are well maintained in the area and our little community is sprinkled with similar plots of land.

If you want some peace and quiet from the road . This little place fits the bill perfectly. It is secluded and tucked away. The area surrounding it is a goldmine of culture, languages and scenery. 14,000 foot peaks an hour away. Charming small towns tucked away in remote areas. An adventure.

Safe and Perfect

I’m a solo female traveler so I pick the places I stay with a lot of care and research. I could not have been more happy with this place! Check in was incredibly easy, the place was spotless, everything was working, and I never once felt uneasy or unsafe. The host was VERY fast to respond and gave very detailed direction on the check-in and check-out process. I would absolutely stay here again, solo or with a partner!

Modern Adobe Casita

This casita is quite possibly the cleanest we’ve ever stayed at. The bed and linens were nice. It’s just minutes from Walsenburg.

This was a very nice, clean, and convenient place to stay on our way to Great Sand Dunes NP. Great price, responsive communication. Very close to Walsenberg which has a Safeway and good restaurants. Highly recommended

A small casita, perfect for one or two people who are visiting the area. Very clean, one bedroom, queen, a very generous bathroom and fridge/microwave. I was away all day and only really used the casita for sleeping and it was perfect for that.

Enjoyed our stay. All was as expected and advertised. Cozy small house as described. Great price . Communication with Jessi was perfect she was Great. Only negative was constant barking dog every day when we tried to sit outside. All in all we would one come here again👍

The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable and it was quiet here. I stayed 3 nights alome. If you need a basic place to stay with no frills, this will work. I appreciated the coffee, creamer, and hair dryer that was available. There is also soap and shampoo in the shower (but I'd brought my own).Basic silverware and a couple glasses/coffee mugs were available. I would stay here again.

I love the outdoors! Hiking is my most favorite physical activity and it is also the best medicine in my opinion. I will be out camping as much as possible during the spring/summer/fall. Also, love offroading in my Taco and finding paths less traveled!
I'm passionate about taking care of and helping others. I thrive when seeing/knowing all beings are content and truly enjoy being a host. I've been an Airbnb Superhost/VRBO host since 2021. Gratefully, I have learned so much about what is the best hospitality and will continue to grow any way I can. I'm a Project Manager by day and love dancing the night away. I am a very proud mom of one awesome son who is my Millennium baby, born 1/1/2000! Thank you for reading.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

I chose this neighborhood first and foremost because I love the style of the house! I was definitely drawn to Casa Grande/Casita immediately and it was hard to walk away initially. Very grateful she became my home and now "Your home away from Home". Get in the vehicle, go for a drive any direction and immediately you have almost 360 degree beautiful views! Our little community has plots of land divided between .5 acres and up. Casa Grande/Casita property are on 1.5 acres, which provides a little bit of space between neighbors. I would not be happy in a cookie cutter neighborhood. Also, we are 6 minutes from town, but that is still very close when paying attention to how much time you spend in your day driving that distance and supporting the local stores or meeting up with the awesome locals/friends!
