Modoc Lane #1 is the perfect home for your family vacation.


This split-level air-conditioned home was recently updated with all-new hardwood flooring throughout the home. The home has all new living room furniture, new bedroom furniture, and new mattresses. You won't be disappointed.


The welcoming foyer area leads you to the split-level living room with floor-to-ceiling masonry that surrounds the gas fireplace. The large dining room table has the perfect view of the outside, the kitchen, and the living room.

The well-appointed kitchen is perfect for the family cook. The kitchen is with equipped with many extras to assist you in making the perfect special dinner for your entire crew.

The downstairs master has a lovely king-size bed, mounted flat-screen TV, and access to the outside patio. The master bath is adorned with a double vanity and a beautifully tiled shower.

The first floor is complete with another half bath and the laundry room which leads to the garage which has a foosball table, a ping pong table, and 10 bikes.

Upstairs is equipped with the other three bedrooms and a full bath that has a shower and tub combination. Bedroom #2 has a twin/double and a twin trundle and a flat-screen TV and is perfect for the kids. Bedrooms #3 and #4 both have queen size beds.

Enjoy the hot tub on the patio just outside the dining room.
Modoc #1 also offers 10 SHARC passes for your enjoyment.

This home is dog friendly so you can bring your four-legged friend along.

Loved this house.

Greatly enjoyed this house and it’s location. Nothing too fancy but updates are great and house was so comfortable and nice.

We love the location on the North end of Sunriver, it’s nice & not so busy, yet close enough to walk or bike into the pool & Village. The home is cozy & well stocked and has multiple options for fun with ping pong, foosball, multiple bikes & a hot tub! We loved our stay & hope to rent again next time!

Good, pet-ready house

This house was a fine place for our family to spend a week in Sunriver. It was not the most clean place we've ever stayed, and some of the dishes needed to be re-scrubbed, but it was mostly tidy and comfortable. Certainly a good place for families bringing a dog. The kitchen could have been a little more supplied with larger pots/pans and condiments (olive oil, ketchup), but again it was good enough. Our family loved the table games in the garage, and the sun-shaded deck in the evenings. Overall, a good stay.

This was a great place to stay.. Everything worked great. There was only a couple things that was a little rough. 1) No pillowcases on some of the pillows2) Not near enough kitchen towels or cloths3) The filter in the hot tub was so bad that it stuck something awful. But I took it out and cleaned it .. Then it was better. I know they can't get to everything all the time, especially when it's summer and people are staying back to back. All and all .. It was perfect !! ..

Having 4 bedrooms was great for 9 people and the bunk beds were perfect for our 3 grandchildren. They loved the hot tub and Sharc aquatic park! All of the basic necessities were available and the choice of bikes was appreciated by those who flew in. We have already booked this home for next year since it worked out so well! Sunset was very helpful.

It's a great house for a family reunion; we love the huge deck with afternoon shade, and the hot tub, and appreciate the ground-floor master bedroom for grandparents. This year the hot tub had some mechanical issues, which was a bummer, but the maintenance company was helpful and friendly, and sent a repair person promptly. The location is great, near the North Store and Fort Rock Park, and a pleasant bike ride from the village. We're planning to come back again next summer!

I’ve Rented Better Through Sunset Lodging

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Always great in Sunriver. I’ve rented through Sunset Lodging for 10+ years and will continue but Modoc 1 left some to be desired. Maintenance had to come multiple times. Bathroom drain, water heater, bathroom fan, smoke alarm, toilet tank not filling. Plenty of dishes, but the bare minimum of everything else (no spices or anything, although not required, just unusual). Sunset Lodging has better rental options.

Reviewer Comments: There is one major thing to note about this property, which is that any small noise from upstairs is incredibly loud in the downstairs bedroom. Footsteps, doors opening/closing, coughs, etc. Like nothing we've ever experienced. Ear plugs, sound machine, and melatonin required. Less of an issue but still worth noting - the interior of the hot tub (seats, walls, etc) was covered in a film of slime. Other than that, the house is great. Well-stocked, clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family holiday getaway.

Fun Family Get Away Home in Sunriver

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our second summer to rent 1 Modoc for our annual 4th of July family get together at Sunriver. The floor plan works out great for our 3 families and we like the nice master bedroom/bath on first floor. The location is convenient for coming in off Hwy 97 at the north on Cottonwood. Patio is nice, quiet and you feel secluded. I will say the hot tub needs better servicing. We should have called about the water being murky and no circulating chlorine container. Sunset is good about responding about concerns. They sent someone out quickly to turn pilot light off the gas fireplace (not needed in 90’s!). They also brought us a new can opener (one missing) very soon after I called. Floors could have been cleaner and throw rugs cleaned. Sharc passes enjoyed by all and we will come again next summer.

Pros and cons listed below:Pros: location, biking distance to everything and on a very quiet couldesac. Easy to get back to Hwy 97.Enough space for 8 people. House is decorated nicely and has nice wood floors. Huge garage was a bonus. 10 SHARC passes were a great value and we used them almost every day.Cons: cleanliness. The floors were very dirty, especially in the kitchen, downstairs bath, and stairs. The deck and furniture was completely covered in pollen. The hot tub was murky and we were unable to locate the chlorine holder.We weren't able to check in right at 4pm because the cleaners were still there. Not a huge deal but would have appreciated an acknowledgement of this. The toiletries were lacking.
