Hosts were very communicative and responsive. Cottage was clean and the resort had great amenities. Family enjoyed fishing and being out on the water. Had a lovely time!

At a time when my best friend and I needed some peace and tranquillity, The Shady Point Resort provided that and so much more.From the booking process to the clear instructions about what to expect, everything was very well communicated thanks to the host, Mo!The surroundings were beautiful and so serene, with the river flowing in from Buckhorn Lake. It was exactly the peaceful getaway we were looking for.Andy, the Property Manager, was amazing! He was full of information about Buckhorn and had great suggestions on things to do and see in the area.We enjoyed our stay so much that we are already planning our next trip there!In addition to the list of items provided to bring with you, future guests may want to consider bringing a few extra essentials, such as foil and Saran Wrap, if they think they’ll need them during their stay.Thank you to Mo and Andy for helping make our getaway such a wonderful experience. We can’t wait to return!

Very relaxing

They have a private dock if you want to launch your boat. The manager Andy is very nice and helpful. The highlight for us was Andy’s pets roaming around.

Relaxing Stay

We had a great relaxing weekend here. Property manager Andy was very friendly and easy going. He set us up with firewood and got us set up with the pontoon boat we rented to use for the weekend. Our cottage was right on the lazy river so we made sure to float down it in the provided tubes. Overall great low key weekend on beautiful Buckhorn Lake.

Great place to relax

We had a blast staying at the cottage. The place is peaceful, a perfect spot to relax and connect with nature. Definitely will come back. The shower head is the only negative point there because the nozzles are blocked, causing water to spray in a different direction it should.

Wonderful, Relaxing Stay by the Lake!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at The Fisherman - 3-bedroom River-front Retreat for two days, and it was a fantastic experience. The location is absolutely beautiful, with serene stream views that instantly put us in a vacation mood. The house is spacious, comfortable for our family, including our little ones. The staff were friendly and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. One small suggestion for improvement would be upgrading the shower head for a better water flow, but it didn’t take away from our overall experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

Best cabin stay we've hadMy partner and I stayed here this past weekend and honestly couldn’t have asked for more. The cabin was spotless, cozy, and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway — comfy beds, great water pressure, firewood ready to go, and that peace and quiet you can only get in the woods.The real standout was Andy on the maintenance team. He was around in the morning checking on things and took time to make sure we had everything we needed . You can tell he takes real pride in the place and works hard for the owner/manager. Cabins like this only shine because people like Andy are on top of every detail.To the manager/owner: Andy is an absolute asset to your property. Please pass along our thanks and give that man a raise — he made our weekend. We’ll 100% be back and telling friends. Thank you Andy
