Welcome to the The Yak House, where you can hand feed the deer! This beautiful 3-bedroom plus loft, 2.5-modern bathroom, mountain getaway. We are a short 5 min drive from the private lake, and yes access is included. Our house features a 6 person 75 jet hot tub, a fireplace, a fire pit, 2 large decks, a chef inspired kitchen, a master suite with a luxurious master bathroom and a two person soaking tub. Your kids will not be bored with an arcade room and other numerus games scattered around the house. Furthermore, its all about chilling at our house, weather you are lounging in front of the fireplace, enjoying the enormous rear deck, seating by the firepit, soaking in the hot tub and lets not forget that every single room has its own climate controls. Our gated community has everything you could ask for, including 24 hour security, 2 pool with lounges, numerus jungle gyms, hiking trails, 5 lakes 2 beaches as well as a dedicated fishing lake. In the winter the Pocono Mountains turn white so hit the slopes at Camelback Mountain, Big Boulder, Shawnee or Blue Mountain , all within 20-30 minutes of our amazing home. Other activities include Kalahari indoor water park, several casinos, The Pocono racetrack, Outlet shopping and Hickory Run State Park

We had the BEST time during our long weekend stay. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 5-8) and one dog. There was plenty of space, the house was so well stocked, and we had everything we needed. The kids were so thrilled to feed the deer, and they were all sad to leave such a fun house at the end of the weekend. The host was incredibly helpful with sending his best kid friendly recommendations and making sure we were comfortable. We played games, had bonfires, cooked dinner, went on a hike nearby, and can’t wait to come back and do it all again. Thanks for having us!

We had a wonderful stay! I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. Tomas is amazing! He provided a lot of great information on things to do nearby! He answered all of our questions quickly. Perfect place for a long family weekend! This house has everything you need from shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the showers to spices in the cabinets. The house was extremely clean upon arrival with fresh towels on each of the beds for guests. The hot tub was warm and clean and was the perfect touch on a chilly afternoon! Kids young and old enjoyed the video game room with 4 nostalgic features. Communication with the owner prior to arrival and during our stay was flawless. Highly recommend this place to you and your family and friends!

Moms Weekend

We had a wonderful short weekend away with friends. The house was exactly as pictured, clean and very comfortable beds and pillows. The owner responded immediately whenever we had any questions. Look forward to coming back for another mom’s weekend.

Everything was perfect...from the checkin process, to the decor of the house, to the constant contact with the host! We were here Celebrating my Boyfriends 50th Birthday! Perfect Winter Getaway

Home was gorgeous...and very clean. Something to do there for everyone. Loved the hot tub, game room, outside area...the deer came right up to the deck. Whole family enjoyed the stay. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

This home was beautiful. We traveled with 5 adults 5 children, 1 dog. All loved it. There were plenty of things to do locally and in the home. The game room was equipped with not only arcade games but many table games as well. The bedrooms were beautiful, clean and spacious. All slept well. The kitchen was well equipped and met our needs. The hot tub and deer were by far our favorite. The local lakes, water falls, pools and winery were excellent. We loved our trip and would return. We do not have a single thing negative about his home. It is well maintained and beautiful. I should add the home is very dog friendly, had bowls, cages (for when we were gone), and a chain for outside (he would chase the deer), he loved it!

Can't wait to go back!

This past trip was our second time renting this property and we couldn't have been happier with our experience, again! Loved the addition of the hot tub. Can not wait to visit again but this time in the warmer months so we can explore and enjoy more outdoor activities the rental has to offer!

Great Property

Check in/ out flawless. Hosts were extremely responsive. We stayed over Christmas with our children. Tons of room- the third floor was great. The deer coming up to the deck were sweet and the kids loved feeding them. We walked the dogs around the neighborhood, which was nice. The woman at the gate one day was so rude but that has nothing to do with the property and wouldn’t deter me in any way. Definitely recommend. Curious how summer is there!

Love the yak house!

This property is amazing. We had two families with a total of 7 people and there was more than enough room. The house is beautiful, clean, and stocked well. The kids enjoyed feeding the deer every day and playing with the endless games. The owner was very friendly and a great communicator. We would definitely stay here again when we return to the area, 10 out of 10!

Peace and quiet with plenty to do and enjoy

Our family enjoyed every moment of our stay at The Yak House. The home is beautiful both inside and out. The furnishings fit the home perfectly, the large back deck was perfect for enjoying all the deer that would come and greet us morning and night. There were many added features to the house that our kids of all ages enjoyed, the game room, the outdoor activities, the fire pit
it all made for an enjoyable trip with no one getting bored. The property was in a central location for all the activities we wanted to do. Tommy/Stephanie were incredibly helpful both before and during our trip in terms of recommendations, general communication and being very prompt in responses to any questions we had. This is a pet friendly home and you would never know it from walking into the house. Our dogs enjoyed the stay with us and have been tuckered out since returning home. If you are thinking about renting this property, don’t think anymore

Cozy and Sweet

From the moment we booked the owners were helpful and welcoming. The house we super clean and spacious. The beds were so comfortable, and the rooms had big closets for all our winter gear. Major plus was the game room that kept all the kids happy. Grounds were clean and the wrap around porch was a major benefit. Definitely rent this house again.

Perfect Pocono Family Rental

We loved, loved, loved the decor and layout of this home! We fit two families and our dog very comfortably. The rental was also close enough to any and all outdoor activities that you might want to do but tucked away just enough to feel comfortable and cozy! Can't say enough good things about this property. Can't wait to book it for some warm weather fun with the family as well!

Beautiful, cozy and clean!!

We celebrated my dad’s birthday this past weekend and we had a great time. The house was beautiful and big enough to fit all of us plus our puppies comfortably. The boys had a very fun time playing in the arcade room and there were also plenty of games for the whole family to enjoy. We absolutely LOVED seeing deer every day that would come right up to the deck and say hello. That was our favorite! It was a great experience from beginning to end and we would definitely love to stay here again. Thank you so much for the excellent communication and for being so accommodating. You literally thought of everything your guests could need and want!

A few year ago we took a leap of faith, pulled the trigger and purchased our very own Pocono getaway. Although we enjoy it tremendously we can not occupy it full time therefor, please be our guests.
