Fabulous Shack in the heart of Tellico Plains...

Imagine being on the edge of town, within walking distance to everything with the feeling your in the forest. Every feature in the cabin was either hand made or repurposed. Stained glass was custom made and framed. Floors, walls, ceiling and trim work were all meticulously hand sanded in this six month labor of Love. What once started out as a playhouse for my granddaughters has morphed into this.

I love this cabin! It’s close to town, but is quiet, and feels secluded. David and his wife are very nice, and usually available if you happen to need anything. The cabin is clean, and had everything I needed for a very pleasant stay. This is my second time staying here, and I am sure I’ll be back!

We would/will definitely stay here again. Very clean inside and out. The attention to details is perfect. The property owner is very friendly, he promptly came out with a block to assist upon our arrival to accommodate my husband’s motorcycle. He also gave good advice on navigating the area. The location could not have been any better! Easy access. I can honestly say there was nothing about the experience that was bad. Communication with the host before and during our stay was great. I will look forward to coming back again to stay specifically at this place, because one weekend for that area just isn’t enough time. Great experience!!

This place is Awsome! We have stayed in many places over the years of travel. This place tops them all. From location, simple check in, price, value and the most of all, the time, effort, and craftmanship that was put into this place is amazing. The host was awsome and very helpful. When our friends and family are coming to the area this is the place we will be highly recommened.

Absolutely love this cabin! The hosts are very friendly and gave us great ideas for local restaurants and bakery! We will definitely be staying here again! Nice little get away for me and my husband.

Getaway Weekend

David's cabin was the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway to Tellico Plains. He was ready for us when we got there and showed us the specifics of the property. Located on a quiet road but very close to town made it an ideal location for us to get to all the places we wanted to go quickly. Fully stocked with everything you'd need other than a stove/oven (we just used the outdoor grill). Easy to control temperature and well insulated. 10/10 would stay here again!

Great Weekend Getaway

The cabin was so cute and every detail was perfect. The decor was beautiful, comfortable, and very nostalgic. The hosts were amazing and felt like lontime friends soon after meeting them. We were there on beautiful fall days. I would not want to change one thing!!!

Very unique cabin but very comfortable! The host is nearby and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a more friendly guy. Highly recommended for couples wanting some time together. I little drive to get to Gatlinburg but well worth it!

This was an amazing stay

The Shack was everything the host listed and more! The host was very accommodating and helped me settle in, I’ve never stayed anywhere that I felt as comfortable! Easy access to Tellico Plains and the surrounding area. If you want a cabin getaway this is a must! I have nothing but positive praise! 5 stars doesn’t even begin to rate my stay! 100%!
