Casa Betita est un adobe historique datant complĂštement restaurĂ© au milieu des annĂ©es 1800. Casa Betita Ă©tait Ă  la maison Ă  des gĂ©nĂ©rations de la mĂȘme famille jusqu'en 2007. Depuis lors, la maison a Ă©tĂ© entiĂšrement restaurĂ©e offrant les meilleurs Ă©lĂ©ments du 21Ăšme siĂšcle avec le charme, les couleurs, les textures et la dĂ©coration de la vraie Nouveau-Mexique, y compris les murs de la main plĂątrĂ©e, cheminĂ©es Kiva, tapis vintage et les Ɠuvres d'art d'artistes locaux.

Vous pouvez entendre les eaux du Rio Pueblo et Ă©couter de la collecte de Coyote dans la soirĂ©e. I would definitely recommend you stay here on your next trip to Taos.The house was very nice well-maintained and clean, it has a very large gated yard, which is good with the dogs. The hot tub was nice and hot and the location is 5 to 10 minutes to almost anywhere inside Taos.The host was amazing very friendly and quick to respond.

Our stay at Casa Betita was just what we needed. Peaceful, comfortable with that authentic Taos feeling. Melissa, our host was quick to respond and has worked hard to create a memorable guest experience. Our 2 dogs loved the fenced yard and were quite cozy in the house especially with that radiant floor heat. Thank you Melissa for a wonderful stay.

I cannot say enough good things about this home. We've stayed in Taos many times over the years, and this was one of the best vacation homes we've been lucky enough to book. The home itself is gorgeous and has spacious outdoor living areas - the pictures don't really do it justice. The kitchen was very well stocked, and we were able to enjoy cooking a few meals. Beds were comfy, showers were great, and we loved the large bathtub! Hot tub was also great. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. We'll return!

Casa Betita is first-class. The accommodations are well-designed and roomy, and the outdoor patio is a great addition. The kitchen has everything you can wish for, and the rock showers are terrific. For those who are interested, the outdoor shower and hot tub beckon. The yard features some of the largest willow trees I've ever seen and lots of fruit trees; the fenced-in yard was a huge boon for our dog, who could explore to her heart's content.The house is something of an oasis, being surrounded by other properties, but noise from those properties is minimal. Pull the driveway gate and you have a very private and comfortable home away from home!Melissa has collected a lot of local art that underscores the New Mexico experience. Add a very fine collection of books, the TVs, and you have good reasons to stay home if you choose.

Our dog loved it!

We brought along our scottish terrier. She was thrilled with the back yard, the deck, and the screen doors that let her smell the outdoors from inside. She was also honored to find so many dog-specific cushions and pads to rest on. From the human perspective, I can honestly say this is by far the best-equipped kitchen I have ever found at a vacation rental. All the gear is there. Kudos to the owner for understanding that chefs need equipment!

Indeed “The Most Perfect Place in Taos”

Book now, and read my lengthy review later - trust me. Our visit to Casa Betita was absolute perfection! This historic property is so beautiful and decorated to celebrate New Mexico’s deep heritage and culture. So many wonderful pieces of art and trinkets throughout the home, you almost feel like you’re in a museum. That is, until you soak in all of the comforts of home and achieve true relaxation. I’m not kidding. There’s something about this place that immediately puts you at ease and makes you feel calm and centered. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms are expertly stocked. Tons of clean towels, toiletries, and closet space. The home has been updated throughout and is clean, spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the fireplaces and hot tub after a long day on the slopes, and it was also nice to have a washer and dryer on site to knock out our laundry. There’s a ton of fenced in outdoor space for kids and pets, and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. Super close to restaurants and shopping in Taos, and a short drive to Taos Ski Valley. We travel often and use VRBO 3-4 times per year. This is one of the best and most unique rental properties we’ve ever encountered. Melissa, thank you for your hospitality, prompt follow-up, and for thinking of literally everything a visitor needs to feel right at home. We will definitely be back!

Lovely house and property

We arrived at 11 pm and realized we didnt have any instructions to access the property. Communication was great. The owner respnded immediately with the instructions to get in. The house was perfect, but the plants need some water and TLC.

Taos Adobe home delight

Wonderful house

Stayed for almost a month and would have happily stayed longer. Beautiful place, obviously well-loved and well taken care of. I especially enjoyed all the local art throughout the house. I work remote and the wifi was great, no issues.

Lovely Week in Taos at Casa Betita

Enjoyed the house, and the yard was wonderful for our dogs. Perfect location and great outdoor spaces. Melissa was excellent to communicate with. We really enjoyed looking at the book showing the home’s renovation. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

I truly love this perfect house in Taos. The description is exactly right -- there isn't a better spot. This was my 3rd stay and each time has been wonderful. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

Quintessential Taos, wonderful property

This is a beautiful home in a very private, but convenient, location. Every detail has been anticipated for the comfort of the guests. The home is so personal and warm that you can't help but exhale. There is every modern convenience, but the character of the original adobe is front and center. The heated floors were amazing in the middle of a several day long snowstorm. The art work was so lovely and interesting that I could not wait to visit the galleries in town. My friend and I needed a getaway so badly, and this booking delivered an over-the-top level of relaxation and privacy, while being close to everything Taos has to offer. Melissa was incredibly helpful and gracious with her recommendations and assistance. The pictures are an accurate representation of this beautiful property. Our dog immediately owned and patrolled the spacious yard, and had so much fun frolicking and zooming around in the snow. SO much room to run! If this property is not avaialble for my next visit, I will change the dates of my vacation to be able to experience Casa Bettita again! Best overall experience ever. Highly recommend!

I am an artist / writer / filmmaker / producer. I work and live primarily in Santa Fe and love my home in Taos. Both my parents and grandparents from both sides were born and raised in New Mexico. When I am in Taos I spend time improving the garden, season by season, skiing and horseback riding, I also get some of my most important creative work done in the house which seems especially conducive to creative thought and activity.

Taos is a special place of many stories. History is rich here, and the journey of each visitor under the vast canopy of sky adds another layer to the richness of the place. Experience Taos for yourself. You will be changed and fulfilled. Northern New Mexico also has two generations of family history for me, so when the opportunity came to care for this house and restore it, I jumped at the chance. I did not purchase this house as a vacation rental as much as this house chose me. I purchased it as a home. I was able to live in Taos for two years but economic conditions and work called me back to the big city, for now.

A pleasant 15-20 minute walk past horses, alfalfa fields and through back lanes to Taos Historic Plaza, shops and galleries, this is a home you will want to return to year after year. Taos is a year round destination offering breathtaking views, intriguing history and intimate privacy making for the ultimate relaxing and healing getaway. Unlike many vacation rentals I supply everything except your food—the woodpile is continuously stocked, the propane for the grill, organic linens and soap, even robes. If you are a looking for a special Taos experience, Casa Betita is the place. My home is dog friendly for up to two small to medium dogs.
