Fully renovated home 1 block from the beach! This home can sleep up to 16 guests with 4 bedrooms plus find the hidden upper bonus room for additional sleeping space - so fun for kids! This home features 2 kitchens, 2 bathrooms, and 2 living areas, with 1 of each on the main floor and 1 of each upstairs - great for larger groups or 2 families looking to travel together. You'll love sitting on the wrap around deck and taking in the Lake Michigan breeze.

Walk to Lake Michigan and enjoy the beach or take in the sunset. Check out all the shops downtown, also within walking distance, and grab a great meal at one of the local restaurants. Take in the sights of Ludington or take a drive along the lakeshore and check out the scenery. Charter a fishing trip and catch the big one! This is a great location for all your vacationing activities.

Great Location Many Amenities

With a bunkbed room for the kids, a large area to enjoy company and an upstairs living quarters its great for multiple families. Close to beach, downtown and marina.

This house was great for my mother's birthday weekend. The proximity to the beach, downtown, marina, and maritime museum was perfect! The firepit and hottub were hits with the kids and adults alike. The only slight hiccup is that some of the sleeping spaces were not ideal for adults, leading to some people using an air mattress. Sleeping 16 would probably work for younger people or a friends trip though!Overall, I would definitely recommend the property!

Great location!

We had a great week at Mitten Flats! We loved that it was pet friendly, had a great little yard, loved the deck and porch swing. You can’t beat the location - stones throw to the beach and town. Would definitely book again.

Lovely stay at the Mitten Flats house! This house is all about the location and was fantastic for our group w 5 kiddos under 5. One block from the beach, and super walkable to town for ice creams, coffee, playgrounds, and children’s art and museum activities. The adults enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub after bedtimes. The house itself is on the older side but completely functional. Just be mindful of noisy doors with kid nap times if that’s a dynamic for your group. Would stay here again and loved our week enjoying Lake Michigan! Thanks for a great stay!

Great location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The home was large enough for our large family. The only thing that was an inconvenience was sharing the washing machine with housekeeping, but that was minor. The location was great, we easily walked to the beautiful beach and also downtown to shop and dine. Would love to go back!

The house was nice, clean, and the location was superb. The owners could do a better job of supplying basic items that you would normally find in other rentals for this price range. For example only one extra garbage bag, two filters for the coffee machine, one roll of paper towel. The house fit our family of 13 very well!

Quick walk to the beach, Quick drive to the state park.

It was as I expected, from the pictures. The place was clean and everything worked. The tv programming took a little bit to figure out. A half sheet of basic notes would have helped. Not a big deal.

Outside is beautiful, I see this home being a hot spot in the summer for family’s and children. I don’t recommend for a “nice get away.” As a lot of things did not work, such as lights in bathrooms, coffee maker, fans, doors barely closing (due to being old home), floors lean downstairs area. Living space / comfy seating is limited. We had trash and stains on the counter upon arrival. Hot tub was nice, yet stinky and had dirt and sand at the bottom. Blinds were broken, again just not clean. Do recommend for a drunken weekend with kids and just need a roof over your head.

This was a great family vacation property. The upstairs apartment like area was great for my daughters family with 3 young children. The location was awesome. One block walk to the beach. Two block walk to town. Three block walk to the marina and great park for kids. We loved sitting on the porch swing watching all the activity of people moving around town. Grill and hot tub were great. Kitchen well stocked. Washer and dryer were a plus. The only suggestion is more seating in the family room. Would definitely stay here again!
