Cozy stay in charming barn

We found the decor charming and the beds and pillows super comfy. Lovely property with a pond and hiking path to enjoy. Would definitely book again!

This was a very good location to stay for a night after a concert at Beak & Skiff. The beds were VERY comfortable.One should note that there is no privacy in this apartment. The wall between the two bedrooms does not go up to the ceiling and the bedroom doors stay open, unless you want to move furniture to allow them to swing shut. The shower is in a "hallway".

This property was absolutely gorgeous and amazing cozy! We stayed for a girls trip weekend and nicer than pictures. So charming and so nice to wake up and sun coming up over the pond outside the doors. Close to things to do and Sarah was so easy to work with!

Calm and cozy

A little bit hard to find the entrance that's behind the barn. The whole place was clean. Had a setup that was sufficient to cook or stay for a long time. I was only there for 2 days but the kitchen had an oven and other appliances. Brightly lit during the day from the windows and just a nice little stay.

Loved this cozy barn with it's beautiful property. So much better than I could've imagined. It is so quiet and peaceful with beautifully kept walking trails that take you to stunning lookouts of rolling green meadows. Perfect spot to relax and recharge. Will be staying here again.

Definitely a spot built in an old barn. Seemed clean but a lot of cracks and crevices. I was to tired to worry about much bit for what it is 400/night?? Probably wouldn’t do it again.

Everything was fine except the toilet was scary. It was not attached to the floor and rocked pretty intensely whenever used. The place was nicely appointed and cozy. The host was very attentive!

A enchanted place!

The Hawthorne was all the things we were hoping for. So peaceful and cozy and comfortable. Beautiful land to walk on and explore, friendly hosts, dogs, chickens... also close to places to hike and explore, and Skaneateles. Thanks to Sarah for being such a welcoming hostess.

Hawthorne Barn was great again !

This was our second stay here and again, won't be our last. Sarah was very easy to contact and quick to respond making sure we had everything we needed and making sure we enjoyed our stay, both when we were on site as well as when we went into town. Checkout couldn't have been any easier (not that we wanted to leave. This property is beautiful, inside and out. Like i said, we definetly will be back.!! Thanks Sarah !! isandbsurroas is beautif

Get back to yourself!

I LOVED staying on this property. It was so cozy, relaxing, it felt like our own little slice of peace! The barn was beautiful the unit was so cute and I loved the esthetic! A bonus was that it was right in-between the beautiful town of Skaneateles and the 1911 cidery/distillery. Staying at this property was the perfect break for me and made me feel more like myself after getting away from the daily grind. Absolutely will re-book!

Sarah was great ! I would recommended in the listing to mention the sign to look for when looking for the place. The addresses mailbox was on the opposite side of the street and we went there in error . Otherwise cute place

Artsy, rustic peaceful setting

This barn has been creatively made into cozy spaces in a beautiful rural setting. The pond area and trails into the fields were fun to explore with our dog. The beds were comfortable and it was a comfy space for the two of us. There are a couple steps to navigate between the sleeping area and the kitchen and bathroom. Something to be aware of if there are mobility concerns.

Rustic charm with tremendous flaws

This property was the lower level of a barn. Very charming but with a lot of flaws. The walls between the two bedrooms was made up of the top portion was only chicken wire. No doors on the bedrooms. The toilet was rocky as it only had shims attempting to level it. No dish detergent to hand wash dishes. Lastly the sound of mice between the wall. I cannot recommend staying here.

Cute cozy space

Cute but cramped. Big furniture in a small space. Kitchen is spacious with some thoughtful accessories. 1 of the bedrooms is nice, but the other is entirely too small for the bed. Shower is in the hallway. Yard is gorgeous and lots of room for pups to roam and run. Location is within easy driving distance to town and 2 finger lakes. Host is very nice and accessible during stay.

Inspire your inner artist’s heart

Almost indescribable in words, this haven is breathtakingly beautiful in nature and nurture. The grounds are spectacular— there’s a pond with very audible bullfrogs, miles of pristine, mowed trails around fields—raccoons, bunnies, and a super chill and handsome cat. My golden retriever and I had the week of our life. The interior is curated perfectly for the setting with a true artist’s eye. I have never stayed in such an awesome place. I’ll be back for sure.

Beautiful space - a little dusty

Really cute space amidst a gorgeous landscape. Very creative design and use of an existing barn. The space could have used a little extra cleaning in some of the lesser used areas. There were also some rough-around-the-edges aspects that made it feel a little more barn-like than I’d prefer. Overall, it’s a wonderful place that could use just a little more love.

Sarah was wonderful getting us what we needed. The Hawthorne is a really great space. The bathroom is a bit awkward with the toilet wobbling on paint stirrers when it could easily be fixed with a surface pour of self leveling underlayment over the concrete to level it then bolt it down. This space is full of large furniture in the bedrooms making it not easily maneuverable or bed accessible. Great space that could be amazing with a little design and completion of deferred maintenance.
