You'll be greeted by the warm embrace of a wood stove, perfect for cozy evenings. Indulge in the convenience of a fully furnished kitchen, complete with all the necessary appliances to craft delectable meals. Enjoy your culinary creations at the quaint dining table, surrounded by the comforts of home. When it's time to unwind, sink into the plush seating in the living room and lose yourself in the latest shows on the smart TV OR venture outside and relax in the swing on the back porch.

Just down the stairs on the back deck you will find an additional living space in the newly finished basement which is a perfect cozy and modern environment to challenge your companions to a lively game or a peaceful jigsaw puzzle. The kitchenette will provide amenities for making fcoffee or snacks with access to a refrigerator and a microwave, in addition to a coffee station.

For those seeking adventure, a short walk will lead you to a partially covered dock where you can enjoy the enchanting waters by floating or kayaking. There is access for you to tie off your personal boat also. A fire ring area is great for making smores or just sharing fireside conversation.

The swing on the front porch provides an opportunity to hear the cows in the pasture across the street. Simply walking to the top of the driveway can provide you an opportunity to enjoy a close up look. They are as curious about passerby's as we are about them, so enjoy a rare moment!

A 24-minute drive will lead you to the Lake Hartwell State Park or Tugaloo State Park is accessible by boat or a short drive. Downtown Lavonia provides charming dining and shopping experiences.

With amenities like Wi-Fi, a washing machine and dryer (both upstairs and downstairs), and a travel crib, this cabin offers the perfect blend of comfort and convenience, ensuring an unforgettable vacation experience.

There is ample parking for multiple vehicles and easy in/out access for boat trailers with the horseshoe shaped driveway. Access to the home is given via a unique digital code that expires on your last day, and there are two outdoor cameras to ensure the area is secure.

We had a nice, relaxing Christmas vacation with the kids and grandkids. The view of the lake was amazing, and the covered back deck was a plus! The newly renovated downstairs basement was nice also with plenty of rooms and beds. The basement does not have central heat/ air, so it’s a good thing that the weather wasn’t too cold. The refrigerator upstairs had a water leak from the bottom, but we just placed a towel there several times during our stay. Maybe the owners should think about buying an air fryer as well. Overall though my family enjoyed it.

This is an amazing property. We had more than enough room for our family including 2 teenage boys and two grandmas and us. The house was clean and warm. The decor was inviting. The boys had their own space downstairs and we had a wonderful time chilling out in the back porch. The lake was great for fishing and the boys enjoyed the kayaks. Thank you for a pleasant stay. We will be back!

We had a great stay at the lake! Location was beautiful and nice to have access to the dock and kayaks. Kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed the outside fire ring one evening. Being able to bring our pets was a plus too!

Owner very responsive to any needs/ questions. Large home with plenty of room to spread out and lots of beds. Best stocked VRBO have stayed in. Could use some cleaning day of on outside due to cobwebs ( but it is that time of year for orb weavers) and some garbage left lying around outside and on dock. Overall- good place to stay & would recommend

Our 2nd time at the cabin and it did not disappoint! You did a phenomenal job with the downstairs! We were floored when we saw it. We enjoyed 2 birthdays while we were there and had a blast! Also had a great time on the lake fishing and swimming and just floating around! Our grandkids each caught a fish and were so excited which made it all the more worthwhile! The kids loved using the kayaks and paddled their way around the area. Perfect relaxing overdue vacation! Easy access to the lake and the surrounding area. Six Flags just under 2 hours! Had a great time in Georgia!Thanks!

Our family of 10 and our weenies rented this house for a week and we weren't disappointed! Plenty of space for us to hang together and get space away from each other. We brought a TV with us (there's only 1 upstairs) and volleyball net to occupy the kids when we weren't fishing or swimming off the dock. Kitchen has anything you need to cook big meals. We hung out on both porches a lot! My nephew loved the little bed out there. Dogs enjoyed the yard and running around the lake. Upstairs was homey and cozy, downstairs was nicely done. (They are double beds so if you're bigger people, you may not want to share a bed lol) very quiet neighborhood, only heard a couple cars when we were outside, while inside you could hear birds in the AM and crickets in the pm. Place was clean and wonderful! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

Wonderful Memories Were Made

Lots of wonderful memories were made by all in our group at this lovely cabin on Lake Hartwell. The owners put a lot of thought into anticipating what families would need during their stay. The kitchen had everything we needed, there were plenty of towels and linens, and a washer and dryer on each level. We particularly enjoyed the first level screened in porch. We ate our meals at the table, and played games afterward. There is an outside fire pit and yes, we made s’mores. There are even metal skewers for the marshmallows!There is a nice, sturdy dock just a short walk from the cabin. It was a great place to start the day with a cup of coffee. The cabin is in a quiet neighborhood. The only thing you hear is the beautiful sound of birds. We sure enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Everything was wonderful except the beds. Most, except the king were either too hard or too soft. A couple of our guests left after 1 night because of the beds. Suggestion: a King bed in the big bedroom downstairs and then maybe 2 queens in the other bedroom. Another queen in the other small bedroom upstairs.

Quick lake getaway

Peace and Tranquility

We had the most amazing stay over Labor Day weekend . This was our 3rd trip to Lake Hartwell and the third home we have rented. The house is well equipped with everything you need and the host was very responsive and friendly We will definitely be back !

Great lake house getaway!

Our family had a wonderful time at this spacious lake house! The kids absolutely loved fishing and jumping off the dock. The house was perfect for our family and provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Our boys asked to come back here every year.

Multi-family Disappointment

The upstairs area was bigger and nicer than expected. The downstairs enclosed bedroom and bathroom were fine. It was a fairly level walk to the lake. The owners responded fast when the a/c broke down. The ice maker didn't dispense. The kayaks were full of rain water, missing carrying handles and covered in bird poop. No indoor access to the basement bedrooms. The two "make-do" bedrooms are literally just beds in the basement. One is behind the furnace next to a big pile of stuff covered with a tarp. Even our adventurous teens said it was "creepy" and refused to sleep there. The paddles for the ping pong table had busted handles. There wasn't enough hot water for everyone to take a shower at night. The dock was the biggest disappointed of all. It was quite small to begin with, and the owners boat was tied to it, which we had to request be moved, to be able to tie up our own boats. The deep end of the dock was sitting in 3 1/2 feet of water. There was another 10-12 feet of walkway that could have pushed the dock out into somewhat deeper water. When we called about it, we were told that WE were welcome to push it out. We tried, but there was not enough cable to move it out more than a foot. This meant the kids couldn't play and jump off the dock and stepping off the swim ladder (which was partially unbolted and my husband had to fix) we were standing in mud over our ankles. There was a busy road nearby and it was LOUD. It was really just an unpleasant and disappointing stay.

House on Lake

The house was a nice size. There was seven in our group and we had plenty of room to relax. The house was clean and well stocked. The host and owner was real good to work with. If I had a question about anything they got right back with me. I had no intention of having any pets but my daughter had a last minute problem with her dog sitter and had to bring them. I contacted them three days before arriving and they got right back with me so I could get everything arranged. The fenced yard was great because we did not have to put them on a leash every time we took them out. Had a lot of fun swimming in the lake and kayaking. The only problem we had was the basement room where my sons slept always had a musky smell. Not a problem for me but most of my family likes going to bed with a tv but there is only one in the living room.

We live in Marietta, GA which is less than 2 hours from our log cabin. After our first trip to Lake Hartwell for one of our daughter's birthday celebrations, we knew we wanted to have a lake house for our family to enjoy. You could say we were hooked!

When the time was right, we began our search with the help of a friend who lives in Lavonia part-time on a nearby farm. She drove by this house one day and said we HAD to check it out. Now that we have it and LOVE the space, it seemed way to precious to sit empty for so much of the year; so decided we should allow others to enjoy it as much as we do.

We have at least one annual family gathering, and come as frequently as possible. Now that the basement is fully finished, it will give us even more valuable space to enjoy many more family memory making stays in the future.

We wanted to be able to pick up and come with only needing to bring clothes and toiletries, so with the help of donations from many friends and family, we were able to fully stock the house to be our home away from home. We want everyone to feel like we are here hosting you, without us being all up in your space!

We appreciate you treating this like you would your home as well - so that others can enjoy the space as much as we hope you do, for many years to come.

The neighborhood chose us! We love the simplicity of the country, and the cows across the street were an added bonus. The privacy of the cove is perfect for enjoyable water days without the worry of boats speeding by.

Is every house in the vicinity ideal - nope - but we have not met a stranger, and the neighbors have all been kind beyond our imagination. You learn to look past some of the things thanks to the kindness that shines through.

Not every lake house is a log cabin. It smells like you are going to camp every time you come through the door - a smell that we will never get tired of! It is peaceful and relaxing, with the necessities of a busy life not too far away. If you don't feel like cooking, almost any type of fast food is available within a 5 to 10 minute drive.
