Waterfront retreat, beautiful views!

Beautiful, sun-filled, waterfront home where the Choptank meets the Chesapeake Bay. Water views from nearly every window. Watch the sunset from large porches with plenty of seating for your whole family. Screened section of porch has large table for al fresco dining without the bugs.

Property is 3 acres with private pier for crabbing, point with firepit and Adirondack chairs for s’mores, private pool with pergola & lounge chairs.

The main house has high ceilings, hardwood floors throughout and windows windows windows! Stream movies & hang in the large living/dining area (table seats 12!) or gather around the kitchen island. There is a first floor primary bedroom with bathroom, and two additional bedrooms on the second floor with shared bathroom.

Fully restored 2-br 1760s guest home steps from the main house allows older or younger guests to escape for an early bedtime or to read a book on the porch.

Guests are welcome to use our 2 kayaks, stand up paddle board, gas grill, propane crab pot.

We are a 15 minute drive from charming downtown Cambridge with its great dining and shopping.

Great house and property! Bernadette was quick to respond to questions and support as needed. We had a great family vacation with three generations and ten people total.

Great family-friendly property

Looked nice in pictures, but was even better in person. Great host, views, and experience. Our kids crabbed and swam in the pool the majority of our time there, which left parents happy relaxing poolside and on the back porch. Neighbors were very generous and helped us get going with crab bait. Would love to come back again!

Family Vacation

This property was truly a gem. Two homes to accommodate our family of 14. It was right on the water with gorgeous sunsets. Having a private pool, kayaks and a canoe kept everyone busy. Catching and eating crabs was an added bonus. Our host, Bernadette, was so easy to work with.

Excellent view!

I booked this home for my family and all 12 of us fit comfortably in the large living room/kitchen area. The wall of windows offered us a wonderful view of the bay. The pool was beautiful and when we reached out to the host, she was very responsive! We all enjoyed the screened in porch and the guys loved the canoe, kayak & catching crabs!

A wonderful stay!

This was our family’s first time vacationing along the eastern shore of Maryland. Margaret’s Delight was a wonderful experience! The location is picturesque and the house was very clean, well-maintained and comfortable. It was interesting to read about the history of the property in a guide to the house/area provided by the host. Everyone enjoyed the pool, canoeing, fishing and crabbing. The kids made s’mores one night at the fire pit on the point. And those amazing sunsets could never get old. We made some very happy memories here and look forward to returning.

Beautiful property and views

Our multi-generational family of 9 spent a wonderful week here. Upon check-in we walked into an immaculately clean house and a charming welcome basket of Prosecco and S'mores fixings. The kitchen is very well equipped and even has a beverage mini-fridge. The main house is very modern and beautifully and comfortably decorated. We used the guest cottage as well and it also has comfortable beds, a cute mini-kitchen and spacious bathroom. For us, the main draw was the lovely pool and spectacular views of the Chesapeake. We had great luck crabbing but never got to use the fire pit/beach area because of evening storms. It's been a very wet spring and summer in Maryland this year, which also led to a bumper crop of mosquitoes, so bring your bug spray. I communicated with Bernadette, the owner, who was most responsive and helpful. All in all, we had an outstanding week and would love to return to this special property.

Secluded Gem of a Home!!

We came down for an Ironman weekend and Cambridge and we’re absolutely blown away by the stunning beauty of this property and amount of space to bring the whole family! From the pool and plenty of outdoor space to the kayaks and crab pots, all of the kids had an incredible vacation in this amazing home. Plus the sunset views from the back deck and screened in porch made every night absolutely picturesque! With two structures giving the perfect amount of space for the kids to play and the adults to hang out our entire clan had such a wonderful time. Being just a bit outside of Cambridge but plenty close to get to the race and supplies, my family was able to see us twice on the bike course before they headed into town to catch us at the finish line. Gorgeous home and would recommend to anyone! My niece asked me at the end of the trip if I could do the Ironman again next year so we can come back to this house.. stunning!
