Walking distance to West Point! Perfect for visiting the cadets, seeing a football game, and enjoying the academy. Home is wonderful and comfortable! Thank you to our lovely and very helpful hosts!

West Point Lodging

Perfect location for our short stay for a gymnastics competition at West Point. Comfy beds and a cozy place to relax.

Can't beat the location!

A second stay at this home. The location truly can't be beat at this cozy historic home. The home has lots of charm from the wood floors, to the covered front porch, to the nice backyard. Restaurants and Pubs are a quick walk, a wine store is a few paces away for that relaxing end-of-night glass. I previously reviewed the place and noted a lack of a baking sheet (as did a prior reviewer). We purchased one for the kitchen on our stay as well as a stock pot - cold night air called for a pot of chili and a fire in the fire pit out back. This home is truly a great find in a wonderful location. Easy check-in, Great Communication. We look forward to booking it again.

Disappointed in Rental

We rented the following VRBO. We were disappointed the dishwasher was broke, the frig was leaking water and food got wet, the light was out in the frig, we did not receive enough towels, no hand towels, no wash clothes, no towels for the kitchen. We have also had great rental experience with VRBO rental property. This was our first bad experience.

Great location with lots of charm.

We stayed here while attending a wedding at West Point. Super convenient and roomy. Super simple check in. While there are three bedrooms, one of the bedrooms doesn’t have its own access. We had to go through one of the other bedrooms to get to the room with the queen bed. Also no central air. Window units needed a few hours to cool the house on our arrival. After that, the window units kept the house very comfortable during mid July heat wave. Host had house well stocked with comfy bedding and towels. Great kitchen with Kurieg, coffee pods, and utencils, but could use a baking sheet and larger skillet.

Fabulous location

The location can’t be beat if you are in Highland Falls for West Point! We parked our car and walked everywhere—football game, Thayer Hotel, Visitor Control Center, etc. Washer and dryer worked great for cleaning our clothes and towels. Layout made for a spacious stay. To note for renters: washcloths were scarce so we brought our disposable travel washcloths. Dish soap and laundry pods were provided. Shampoo, conditioner, bath wash was not included. So bring your preferred product. Plenty of toilet paper and garbage bags during our stay. The kitchen has some pots and pans. Survey the inventory before committing to a meal. We made it work but noted there was not a colander nor baking sheet. Cheap enough items we might acquire if needed during our next stay. The three bedrooms are all connected. To access the middle bedroom, you must go through one of the two other bedrooms. Again, not an issue for us but thought I’d mention. Speaking of the beds, we found them comfy and smelling delightfully clean as we ended our busy days. The backyard was large and had a nice fire pit—wood easily acquired at the grocer or nearby Shell fuel station. The home has s’more sticks! Again, great location and a clean home. Fanni was VERY responsive. Looking forward to our return stay.
