Beautiful Valhalla cabin with breathtaking views. Mount Valhalla has the seclusion you are looking for but the fun you want. Friendly chipmunks will eat and sit on your lap. Roomy cabin on the atv/snowmobile trail. In the winter four wheel drive highly recommended for driveway. Sit outside and listen to the Whipporwills and owls. Washburn is just down the hill. Bayfield 9 miles away. Big Top Chautauqua and Mount Awhwabay ski hill just up the road. Valhalla Pub N Grub 3 blocks away. ATV trail is at the end of driveway. The yard has a horseshoe drive for easy in and out with your vehicles and loading. The beautiful yard has an outdoor sitting area with a built in fire pit. The yard has a clearing area with an awesome view. Adorable outdoor bathroom and shower. (Seasonal). You are in the middle of two casinos, Legendary Waters is up the hill just outside of Bayfield and Bad River is just outside of Ashland. You are just minutes away from Ashland and the Lake Superior beach. Chequamegen Bay is also just down the hill. Great fishing spot. The Atv/snowmobile trails are everywhere, groomed and wide. The Copper Crow distillery is just outside of Bayfield by the casino. There are ice cave tours in the winter. Kayak rentals in the summer. The cabin has a full open concept kitchen with all your cooking equipment. Large main floor bathroom with tub/shower, washer and dryer. Cable TV, wireless internet. Main floor queen bedroom. Loft has huge sleeping area with several beds and open concept. King size bedroom. At night enjoy mores stars than ever, the moon is bigger and brighter. The owls hoot and turkeys graze. Enjoy the amazing views. Great place to relax, explore and visit. You will not be disappointed!!! Great outdoor covered patio with sitting area to enjoy all day.
Large outdoor gas grill to grill your favorites. Hammock for chilling. Secluded, amazing views, pub close, trails close.

Came here with a group of friends for a weekend getaway to the Apostle Islands. Perfect place to stay for this. Only 20 minutes away from Bayfield and ample room to accommodate our group. Also had nice additions to accommodate our group - including a blackstone (very helpful for cooking with a group our size). Lisa was a great host and would stay here again

Relaxation at its best

Great place far enough away from the hustle and bustle of touristy towns but close enough for a short drive to check them out and all the sites in the apostle islands area. Secluded for privacy to not worry about being too loud for the neighbors as we laughed about the funny events of the day around the campfire night!

We loved everything about the place. The porch was wonderful for a rainy day. We rode the ATV trails for 3 days and spent 2 days spending time on Lake Superior.

We had an amazing time with family coming over to visit us and hang out even though we were the visitors. The place is Beautiful and clean. Well worth it. House had everything we needed and more.

Log Cabin in the Woods

Our group of 6 enjoyed our stay in this cozy home in a picturesque wooded setting. It had everything we could want or need! It was clean, the beds were comfy and enough room for 6 adults. We enjoyed the huge porch! Great for bird watching too. We wish we could’ve stayed longer. We all highly recommend Lisa’s home! 5 Stars! Lisa was very responsive to our few questions. They have a beautiful home that we hope to visit again!

MEA Break

The cabin had everything we needed and extras. We loved sitting on the porch and enjoying the amazing fall colors. The cabin was close to orchards, Washburn for groceries, and Bayfield to take the ferry to Madeline Island. Another plus was the beautiful beaches in the area.

Amazing Place!!

Beautiful place on a hill with an amazing view! Everything about our stay was perfect! Outdoor fire pit was great, as was the large front porch. Gas grill and pellet grill onsite as well as a Blackstone. The outdoor hot water shower is a super cool novelty you don't see very often! Awesome place, will likely be back! Hosts were very easy to work with!

Spacious, comfortable, with a remote feel

The location is the best - we didn't have an UTV, but found the forest roads to be nice for long walks, and because of the location at the top of a hill, the house feels truly remote - even though there's an excellent restaurant just down the road! Major winning features for us were the amazingly comfortable queen bed in the loft (the only one we tried), and the abundant hot water with really great water pressure. Also, a perfect distance to all the area attractions.

Fantastic break in a hectic week

Forced to book a last minute stay due to some unfortunate travel plan changes but was pleasantly surprised at the perfect getaway spot. This cabin is conveniently located, clean, has easy going hosts, perfect amenities and the view that is tough to beat. Will definitely be coming back in the future.

This property was amazing! Very well kept everything you could possibly need was there! The kids and us at times didn’t want to leave to go do other activities. Will definitely come back!

it was a little hard to find map show it behind the bar but it was closer to cth c. but it was a very nice place and very clean thank you for the use of this home and we are looking forward to next year

Great tucked away cozy abode

Overall the property was as pictured. Very comfortable and cozy with a well stocked kitchen. The location is a bit off the beaten track but as long as you don't mind a 25 minute drive to Bayfield, it's a lovely place to stay.

Great views - might need earplugs

The cabin is lovely, great property. We had all we needed except doors in rooms. While the listing indicated two bedrooms in the loft - it’s one big room. There is also no door on the master. This didn’t affect us but for those that are expecting rooms with doors- like an infant needing quiet nap space - this is not the case here. Bring earplugs. The view is incredible and the owners have done a lot to create a lovely family accommodation.

Peaceful

Well cared for property. Very peaceful and good distance between other houses, feels private. Good kitchen and shower. Appreciate the bidet! The view is sublime and the chipmunks will put on a show for you. Comfy beds with lots of choices. Easy to use grill. The outhouse is the cleanest I've ever seen. Nice scenic drives close to everything we were doing. Lots of wildlife.

Incredible Secluded Cabin with Easy Access to Everything!

We brought our 6 kids (ages 13-17) and we all instantly fell in love with the property! The loft sleeping area gave plenty of space for the kids to spread out while my husband and I had the privacy of the main-level bedroom. We were pleasantly surprised with how clean and well-equipped everything was, making it a perfect place for our evening dinners and campfires after spending the days around the peninsula. We did have to text the owner with a question and she responded immediately and was sure that there wasn’t anything else we needed
 A+ on communication for sure! It’s incredibly easy to access Cornucopia, Bayfield, and everything in between. I will say that the driveway had us a bit confused at first (my husband turned into the snowmobile trail with the boat since the since you the driveway sign indicated private property and he didn’t want to invade) but after we figured out the right way, it was easy going. It’s pretty steep, but we pulled the boat up and there’s even a circle drive to pull right on through when you leave. That was awesome as we often have to finagle our way around driveways pulling the boat. We will definitely plan a return trip to the Valhalla cabin and would recommend it to anyone else looking for an incredible home away from home!

Paul and Lisa love this property and do not get to use it as much as they would like. They want to share this place with others since it is so perfect. They own a Pizzeria bar. They have been married forever and love the outdoors.

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

There is something special about this cute cabin. It just feels like your happy place. It has so many places close by to explore, but yet it feels like you are alone. The covered porch is just a joy to lounge on with a cup of coffee. The best thing about it is you can actually enjoy being outside without getting attacked by bugs. They do not like the sandy soil so they are very minimal. The stars and the moon are brighter than your used to and the owls hoot back and forth. There are wild turkeys wandering around and your occasional deer passing thru. The cickadees are almost friendly and sometimes you think they are going to sit on you. This property is close to Long Lake, Twin Lakes, and Lake Superior. All are accessible with a ATV. The open concept living and dining area makes you able to visit while watching tv and cooking. Is is so relaxing you will understand why this is a happy place. This neighborhood is secluded yet close to so many activities and fun spots. You can enjoy a variety of different types of activities such as, hiking, kayaking, golfing, fishing, ice caves, apostle islands, big top, lake Superior, Madeline Island, 4 wheeling and so much more.

The outdoor shower is amazing. You get an outdoor experience with nature but still have privacy and hot water. It is a fun experience. The view from the front porch is beautiful. The friendly chipmunks will sit on your lap. Great for for wheeling, trail is at the end of the driveway. Can’t see any neighbors just nature, but close to many places.
