Great location and in a very secure neighborhood with gated security and an easy, less than 10 minutes to the beaches and excellent restaurants (boathouse 604 and lanterns). Plus two great grocery stores.

This was a beautiful property in a quiet community with all the amenities. We completely enjoyed our stay. It was worth every penny to have space for each person to spread out and relax after packed days. The game room gave a place for kids to get energy out since the yard was steep. I appreciated little extras like coffee and tea, cotton swabs, good quality shampoo/conditioner etc as many rentals skip these! Beach and pool gear including coolers are also available!Everything was exactly as shown down to the beautiful patio view that I enjoyed each morning. Book this!!

Location is the only issue- it’s far away from everything bee wanted to do and below the neighborhood is a little less desirable- overall the house is clean roomy and has a fantastic view.

Everything was great, the entire process was easy and the owners know how to communicate with the client, for me that was remarkable. This property is located in a beautiful place and we got to witness the amazing waterfalls cascading down the mountain from our patio door, honestly my three daughters and my wife all said it’s one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited ! When I originally booked I didn’t see a lot of feedback from guests, maybe it needs to remain a well kept secret!I’m truly happy with my stay and I’m sure anyone going there will be as well.

Very nice location and neighborhood. Dusting needed on picture frames, air conditioning unit and air filters. Ant trails were noticed outside of house near water hose. Additional towels and wash clothes are needed. Only one key fob was found in home upon checking in, for the pool. Outside ceramic table between wicker chairs on back porch was also broken upon arrival. No sheets were provided for fold out mattress. Appreciated washing detergent being available for washing machine.

Great stay in Waienae, Oahu.We stated heure for the first time and hard an amazing experience. The vacation home was spacious and comfortable- perfect for our group of 4 adults and 3 teens . Really appréciated the fûlly équiped kitchen, which made it easy to cook everyday. Had to drive about 1 to 1.5 h to the popular attractions. No complaints at all. A great place to stay overall!!Thanks for everything!

My family just stayed in Makaha Valley at this property and had a wonderful time. It fit our family of five well. The front gate makes it feel safe and the landscaping around the grounds are incredible. The views were stunning and we enjoyed every sunset and night full of stars and the moonlight on the ocean. The place was clean and comfortable. The communication with the host was easy and timely. The kitchen was very nice and we used it to prepare meals instead of eating out. We loved using the community pool and hot tub. This location is about 45 min west of Honolulu but we liked it that way. The location is in a beautiful gated community tucked away in the valley. The locals have all been friendly. We would love to stay here again someday.

Family Trip to Hawaii

Amazing house with incredible views of the mākaha valley and beautiful ocean! The only thing I would say is the 45 min to an hour drive across island to get to shops, snorkel tours, and beaches etc. There is a pretty large homeless encampment on the drive to the house, but the house is set far back into the valley. We never felt unsafe at any point- if you like seclusion- this house is your perfect Hawaiian vacay!

Reconnect and take in the beauty of Hawaii

Clean, beautiful views, close to uncrowded beaches, hiking, wildlife, caves. If you want to get away from your hectic life and reconnect stay here. Makaha Valley is about 1 hr north from downtown Honolulu and 30 min from the Disney/ Four Seasons resort area. You will need a vehicle. We loved it, but it depends upon what you are looking for. More locals live in this area and there are some sketch spots along the way. Homeless, etc. But we never felt unsafe and the property itself is in a gated community with a manned station at the entrance.

As Expected

The listing presented the property very well and it was just as I expected. The home was clean and located in a newer development. It is tucked back up in mountains making it very quiet. The property manager was very responsive, professional and friendly. Being on the west side of the island did mean more drive time to sites on some days. No sofa sleeper but they did have some mats in the closet so our kids didn't have to share a bed.

Makaha stay

This rental was perfectly sized for our group and very comfortable. It’s a beautiful brand new home. The only drawback was there was no outside space available. The whole community is under construction so it’s all a work in progress. No doubt that a little bit down the road it will be great .The view was amazing at this rental , the mountains, and the whole valley to the water. This rental is not a reflection of the area it’s located . It’s good to do some research about the west side before renting. We love it over here.
