The Red Dog Chalet Couples Retreat w/ Hot Tub

Private parking area with a beautiful lighted walking bridge that leads you to the Red Dog Chalet. A beautiful couples getaway with a spiral staircase leading you to the 2nd story covered porch with a wraparound walking deck. A 2nd story outdoor hammock off the covered porch. Relax in the 2 person copper tub and get some rest in the loft bedroom.
Relax underneath in the beautiful large bed swing or in the 2 person hot tub. Private outdoor shower underneath also.
The chalet is 1/2 mile from the Buffalo Mountain trailhead if you are looking to enjoy the trail system.

Well maintained land super clean. Host was helpful and let us be. Only thing I would change is maybe some shelving to put our stuff. Great place

Communication was great. The owner reached out the day before our arrival and provided check-in information and some suggestions for things we might want to check out in the area. The Red Dog Chalet was beautiful, cozy, and immaculately clean. We were very pleased with the whole experience.

I stayed here for a couple days getaway and to see a concert. The owners were very kind, and informative. The place itself could honestly fall into the luxury getaway homes. Stunning landscaping and every detail of the home inside and out was simply above and beyond my expectations.

Red Dog Chalet Amazing

Red Dog Chalet is beautiful. The owners were very accomdating and very friendly. It was great to come back from riding trails and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere that was created by the owners. We will be back to enjoy another relaxing week.

Atv riding birthday celebration from Michigan

Location and the red dog chalet is beautiful! Chalet is clean and cozy! Close to trails for riding. Host is very personable, wonderful and kind. We would love to come back one day! Highly recommend!

Cute and convenient

Lovely chalet on well maintained property. The furnishings are comfortable, and the place is quiet. It was warm during my visit so we didn’t take advantage of the hot tub or fire pit. Overall very nice place to stay.A few personal quirks: While I would have liked a shower upstairs (in the chalet), the copper tub is a unique experience. The stairs to the loft were steeper than I expected, but plenty of handles. The LEDs on the AC units are incredibly bright, which was a bit annoying at night.

The Check-in process was a breeze the owners were a delight Extremely clean and great location. However in the elevated cottage the bed it's approximately 10 feet up from the main floor which involves climbing a ladder and if you need the restroom it's a 10 foot climb down in the dark my wife rolled her ankle coming down the latter and we had to leave early Only other thing wish to shower was in the unit itself otherwise very nice place

We had a great getaway at The Red Dog Chalet! The house was wonderfully cozy, clean, and prefectly decorated. The hosts were very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. We would recommend to any of our friends and would love to come back again!

Wow from the moment we arrived, I felt an immediate sense of peace and comfort. This place has a warmth that can’t be created by dĂ©cor alone—it’s clear that a lot of care, intention, and kindness have gone into every corner of it. Everything was so clean, private, & location was great! House was super close to trails and a couple little towns. Communication with the host was great! They made us feel well taken care of and welcomed. It felt a lot less like a rental and more like being a guest in someone’s cherished retreat. Looking forward to returning one day! My wife and I have been married since 2013. We purchased 2 acres of land to start building our home together. Working full time then building in the evenings.

Over the years, we have built our barn which you can see from the cottage. Our red golden retriever loves the barn which we use as our workshop so that's how Red Dog Barn got it name.

In the summer of 2021, we wanted to create a place for people to enjoy and feel at home, which is our beautiful Red Dog Cottage that opened April 2022.

In the summer of 2022, we wanted to create a couples retreat built like a two story treehouse. A beautiful chalet for anyone to come and enjoy their stay.

We hope everyone will love it as much as we do.
