À 5 minutes de Blue Ridge Parkway. Vues superposĂ©es sur la montagne depuis une grande et belle cabane sur 6 acres! Confortable, cabine de 2000 pieds carrĂ©s 6-7 personnes: grande cuisine, salle Ă  manger et grande salle. GĂ©nial pour les familles. Nous avons Internet DSL gratuit et la tĂ©lĂ©vision par cĂąble !!! Vous ne serez pas déçu dans cette jolie cabane avec intimitĂ© et accĂšs facile aux sites Ă  proximitĂ©!

Notre maison a une atmosphĂšre chaleureuse, confortable et ouverte avec beaucoup d'espace pour cuisiner, manger, jouer Ă  des jeux, regarder des DVD, lire et se dĂ©tendre. Il y a plusieurs zones de rassemblement donc plusieurs activitĂ©s peuvent se dĂ©rouler en mĂȘme temps. Il y a un porche couvert avec une table et des chaises de patio - parfait pour les jours de pluie, jouer Ă  des jeux de sociĂ©tĂ© ou pour avoir un petit espace loin du reste de votre groupe. Il y a une deuxiĂšme table et des chaises sur la grande terrasse arriĂšre qui surplombe la vallĂ©e et les montagnes.

AccĂšs facile Ă  la plupart des meilleures attractions de la rĂ©gion, notamment Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Appalachian State, Blue Ridge Parkway, extraction de pierres prĂ©cieuses, canoĂ« dans la New River, vĂ©lo, pĂȘche, etc.

Once you get to the top of the mountain you immediately relax. I could have sit on the back deck all day. Home was very comfortable & the owners have everything in there that you could ask for.

The property was wonderful and extremely peaceful. If you’re looking to get away to peace and quiet this is it. The driveway can appear a little intimidating for some but it’s honestly not that bad. If we’re back in the area, we will stay here again if it is available.

Great stay close to App State!

My family all came up to help to move a student to App State, and we picked this cabin because it was one level. The cabin was great, no neighbors around, beautiful landscaping, and extremely peaceful. Great communication with host was a plus. Highly recommend.

Beautiful mountain oasis!

We had such a great family trip to John’s mountain oasis. It was so quiet and peaceful - exactly what we needed. The house was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Can’t say enough nice things about the place! Would love to come back in the future.

Lovely Property

We rented John’s place for my (now) husband and his groomsmen to stay in during our wedding weekend that was down the road, at Wanderlust Acres. They had everything they needed and commented on how beautiful the view was from the porch. If we are back in the area we would stay here again!

Home away from Home

We had a wonderful time at the cabin and looking forward to going back. The Christmas decorations added a warm touch. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you would need to cook with. We didn't want to leave on checkout day.

Relaxing weekend getaway

We loved the peaceful surroundings, deck, and large open mountain home. The house is very well equipped with a full kitchen, games, washer & dryer, walking sticks, etc. Unfortunately, the WiFi and cell service was a bit spotty during our stay but the owner let us know in advance and was actively working on it. The one feature not fully explained in the listing is the very steep, gravel driveway that you have to navigate to get to the home. The owner told us all about it after we booked and we were able to negotiate it with an AWD vehicle, it’s something to be aware of (especially in bad weather). We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the house and would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway.

Our Mountain Getaway

The property was excellent. Everything very clean. Organized well so easy to find things especially in the kitchen area. Nice and roomy . Even had Christmas tree up and cabin decorated. Hope to go back again in the future.

Great Weekend Getaway House

This house is spacious and comfortable for our family for our trip this weekend. VERY glad we got a car with 4WD as the driveway is steep and tough to navigate. The view from back patio was amazing. John did a great job with his communications for the weekend and was so helpful and available if we needed anything.

Amazing retreat

From the isolated (and fun) drive up Chipmunk Lane to the amazing view and the surrounding property to explore, we had a fantastic time. Our kids, their cousins, and our dog loved hiking through the woods around the property and evenings sitting by the fire. The house is spacious and well appointed--a big deal since we had 5 kids with us. The owners were communicative and accommodating--excellent hosts. We would happily recommend it and rent again ourselves.

We bought this beautiful home in 2008 after we fell in love with the magnificent view. Because it is our second home, it has all the amenities of home with a feeling of casual comfort and warmth. We know if you stay here, you will feel like welcome guests and will want to come back again and again.
