Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space with 3 bedrooms / 2 baths home with about 1900 square feet.

Get away from the hustle, bustle of life but still close to Enchanted Rock and historic Fredericksburg with its shops, wineries, terrific restaurants, and attractions.

Full kitchen and dining area, king size beds, fire pit, Prochnow Vineyard and venue next door, very rural location, hike our 135 acres to Titanic point, 4 miles to Enchanted Rock, 2 miles to Contigo Wedding venue, ATV friendly, and 20 minutes to Fredericksburg.

This is our second time staying at the cottage and we love it! We love the privacy and rural area where the deer come to visit daily -a nice distance away from Fredericksburg. The cottage is well equipped, clean and baby friendly as we had a one year old and the playpen came in handy. The spaces were comfortable for our family of 6 plus a tiny one and we loved having all king beds in the bedrooms. The bathroom with the clawfoot tub was wonderful and the showers (heads) were appreciated by the guys. The firepit was a treat for us on a chilly evening and we enjoyed sitting in the beautiful backyard with the baby. We liked having a separate dining area to eat and play games and the washer and dryer were so handy. The kitchen was fully equipped for our needs-even making Thanksgiving dinner! Having the kid friendly family winery next door was a wonderful experience as well- so pretty, quiet and accessible. We left a baby item and the owners were very accommodating to mail it to us. This has become our traditional family Thanksgiving spot to go to each year. We just hope we don't outgrow it soon! :)

(2 out of 5 stars)Our recent stay was overall fine once we finally got into the house, but the check-in process was an absolute mess. The host never sent the gate code or house code ahead of time. We called and messaged multiple times (at least 20 calls) and didn’t get a response for about 45 minutes. Eventually, we got in touch with his brother-in-law down the road who helped us get the code so we could finally check in.Once inside, the house itself was nice and matched the listing, but the lack of communication and confusion during check-in really started the trip off on the wrong foot. I’d recommend the property for the space and comfort, but definitely hope the host improves communication for future guests.

Our stay at the Cottage was absolutely wonderful! The interior was very clean, kept up to date, and so comfortable. Star gazing was a treat on the back porch with plenty of seating. In the mornings you can watch out the front windows as the deer come in. If able, plan time to hike the trail to mountain point...the view was beautiful! This location is perfect if you want to be away from town, but still within 20 minutes - with an awesome drive.

You never quite know what you’re going to get when staying in remote areas, but this property was a gem. It’s tranquil, quiet, and full of wildlife. We booked it specifically to catch a meteor shower, and it did not disappoint. The dark, starry skies were incredible.The property features an easy hiking trail that follows a jeep path. The owner had kindly mowed a path through the tall grass, which stretched for well over a mile. For those who want a bit more adventure, there are shorter, steeper routes that lead to a scenic bluff with stunning views that go on for miles.The house is very well appointed. Keep in mind, you're in the country, so it has an authentic rural charm. The HVAC worked great, the furniture was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. It felt cozy and welcoming. The beds and pillows were excellent, and the towels were soft and fresh. Everything was clean and well cared for.The backyard was one of our favorite parts. The lush zoysia grass felt like carpet and made an ideal spot for laying out blankets and watching the night sky. There is a great fire pit with plenty of seating, and the firewood stacked on the side of the house came in very handy. We used about five or six logs and had several hours of relaxing fire time.If you need a break from the city or just want to unwind in nature, this is a perfect place to do it. We’re already planning to come back.

Perfect Texas Hill Country Getaway

We really enjoy this peaceful, well kept home close to Enchanted Rock. It’s nicely appointed, well managed, and in a beautiful location. Close enough to Fredericksburg to enjoy the shopping and dining, but far enough to be full of birds, wildlife and beautiful views.

Perfect little house- clean and comfortable

We choose this house because of the close location to a wedding at Contigo Ranch and it was perfect. The house was very clean and plenty of room to spread out. Peaceful location and we enjoyed the hiking around the property. Highly recommend if you want to have peace and quiet away from town.

Pleasant surprise

This was our first vrbo stay. Loved the home. So very clean and bright and comfy beds very comfortable. We only drove 1/2 mile to the event and it was nice not to have to drive the windy road back to fredricksburg after the wedding. The kiddos loved seeing the wildlife. Thank you

Great place to stay especially for a wedding at Contigo Ranch

We were there for a nephew’s wedding so we wanted a place close to the venue. If you are attending a wedding at Contigo Ranch this is the place to stay. If you are not attending a wedding this is still a great place to stay. Lots of room and amenities with a peaceful location. It is a ways from town but still a great location. Would stay here again.

We found the property to be very welcoming and enjoyed the greeting we received from the deer! Rooms were spacious, beds comfortable and overall great accommodations! Beautiful Setting

Deer and turkeys were around the property and we enjoyed watching them. Good beds. Kitchen was efficient. Ice maker in the refrigerator was not working. Insufficient number of towels (3 towels for 4 people). In the welcome book the wi-fi information was incorrect. No information for the tv or light fans. The wi-fi information was in the email. We would rent this property again. Enjoyed our time there!

Great and relaxing property

We had a great stay in really nice recently renovated house. Perfect location for the wedding venue nearby. Enjoyed watching the deer in morning and evenings. There were small amenities that we do not often find in other VRBO’s. We would certainly stay here again!
