Welcome to THE BOAT HOUSE at The Birdbath Bungalows! It’s one of three charming bungalows nestled in a peaceful residential neighborhood right in the heart of Ventura’s charming beachside community. Just a short drive away are Ojai, Oxnard, Carpinteria, Summerland, Montecito, and Santa Barbara. Whether you want to rent one or all three Birdbath Bungalows, it’s all up to you! Each property has its own private gates that you can lock or open to share the space.


Imagine waking up to the sound of the ocean and sipping your morning espresso on the front porch or back deck, surrounded by the ambiance of a cozy gas fire pit. Or, if you prefer a more relaxed vibe, you can enjoy a cocktail at the picnic table. The possibilities are endless!


In 2023, The Boat House Bungalow underwent a full renovation, carefully curated with the highest quality and style in mind. It’s a beautifully styled 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom home with a fully equipped kitchen and a serene garden space that’s perfect for relaxation.


Guests have full access to their securely gated bungalow, which includes a sunny front porch with stunning mountain views and a spacious backyard filled with citrus and palm trees. Plus, there are two designated off-street parking spaces for your convenience.


I won’t be able to meet you in person, but I’ll be here to help and answer any questions you may have throughout your stay. Feel free to give me a call anytime.


Nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, The Boat House is just a stone’s throw away from coffee shops and corner markets. It’s also centrally located within walking distance to the beach, breweries, cafes, Ventura fairgrounds, and the best of Main Street. You’ll find everything you need for a memorable stay, from shopping and live music to nightlife, fine dining, bike paths, weekly farmers’ markets, and more.


The Bird House Bungalow has two off-street parking spots conveniently located near the main entrance. Once you park, you can leave your keys behind and grab your favorite walking shoes or flip-flops. Everything you could possibly need is just a short walk away!


At The Boat House Bungalow, we’re all about making sure you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’ve got some great add-on services that can make your experience even better, like pre-cooked meals, snacks, and even special occasion packages. We had a great stay at the Boat House! Great location, easily walkable to some neighborhood restaurants and downtown. The backyard was lovely. And the host was very communicative. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect place to stay

This is an absolutely beautiful property. Enjoyed the porch and landscaping and the inside was so nice! Lots of extra touches. Would recommend and will definitely book again when I come visit again.

Amazing bungalow

This bungalow had been recently remodeled and it was done so tastefully, the colors, the furniture, the appliances were all just great. I could tell they had spent a lot of time and money on the changes and the end product was a darling, little bungalow. I would definitely stay there again.

Charming Cottage- Great Location

Perfect for a weekend away. A short walk to the coast and/or downtown. We parked our car in the convenient off street parking spot and didn’t get back in the car until it was time to leave for home. The cottage is comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated. Our host Sarah was readily available for any question we had.

What an excellent property!

I stay at several properties a year. This property by far was the best all around set up. The owners have thought about all their guests needs. The outdoor space is small but beyond beautiful. The property was not only clean but very well maintained! Quiet neighborhood close to everything in downtown Ventura. Plus within walking distance to several great foodie spots!

Perfection in a Classic California Bungalow

Exceptionally cute little house that is perfectly set up for a quiet, relaxing stay. We spent many mornings and afternoons in the beautifully landscaped yard with hummingbirds and butterflies. The fire pit and grill were really nice additions. The host was very responsive, and the check in process was easy. There is a great little corner store and coffee shop just a block away and it is a short walk to the beach as well as downtown. We will definitely be back!

Perfect in Every Detail

What a sweet little property! Designer touches everywhere. All new high end appliances. Off street parking spot and quiet neighborhood within walking distance to restaurants, shops, breweries. Nice private backyard with string lights, fire pit and a grill. Just perfect for a getaway. Next time I'm planning a trip to Ventura ill stay there again.

Best "Little House"

This is a perfect Little House for two people. My grandchildren named it the Little House! My husband and I spent almost 5 wonderful weeks here. It is bright, has a yard and is just enough! The house is walking distance to downtown, the beach, many restaurants, shopping and more. The overseer was responsive to all my questions and concerns. We will be back there again.

Ventura getaway

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Boat House, a beautiful one bedroom cottage in Ventura, CA and we had an amazing experience. The location is simply unbeatable, as it is walking distance from both the beach and downtown Ventura. The place is beautifully designed and well-appointed with all the modern amenities one could ask for. The attention to detail in the decor was impressive, with a modern coastal style that felt both comfortable and stylish. The living area was spacious and comfortable with plenty of seating for relaxing after a long day out in the town. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary appliances, we didn’t get a chance to cook or use much of the kitchen as we were visiting Ventura for my sister’s wedding. The bedroom was cozy and inviting, with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was super clean and well-maintained, with plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Outside, there was a charming patio area with a grill and seating, as well as a beautiful lemon tree. We picked up breakfast and coffee from Frontside Cafe 5 min walk and truly enjoyed the patio. The location is perfect to explore the surrounding area, including the nearby beaches, restaurants, and shops. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for a couple or to anyone looking for a relaxing and comfortable getaway in Ventura. The attention to detail, prime location, and modern amenities made it an excellent experience. Five stars for sure!
