Le 'Hummingbird Cottage (surnommĂ© par nos clients) est une propriĂ©tĂ© Storybook au-dessus du cƓur du centre-ville de Ventura. Maison d'hĂŽtes indĂ©pendante avec salle de bain privĂ©e, den et kitchenette sur la propriĂ©tĂ© avec la maison principale du propriĂ©taire. Treehouse est Ă©galement une structure distincte et peut accueillir un.

Jardin fleuri luxuriant privĂ© avec vue imprenable sur la montagne et un aperçu de l'ocĂ©an avec les Ăźles Anglo-Normandes par temps clair, des cerfs paissent au parc Grant au lever du soleil sur la colline. À quelques pas de la rue principale historique et de ses boutiques et restaurants branchĂ©s, des discothĂšques et des galeries de produits frais au marchĂ© fermier le samedi matin. Empruntez les croiseurs de plage sur des kilomĂštres de promenade en passant par Surfer's Point, le parc des expositions, plusieurs terrains de camping, la plus longue jetĂ©e de Californie jusqu'au port et au-delĂ . Sandra was a great host there were lots of little extras to make the stay more enjoyable. The outdoor space was great and secluded. Just a walk down the hill to downtown for dinner. Lots of cycling routes in the area.

We rented the Hummingbird Cottage for our family to stay at during our wedding , and had our wedding cake in the beautiful backyard area! Our experience here was absolutely wonderful- the host was so accommodating, check in easy to navigate, house was very clean, and the outdoor area and lower yard were stunning!! Tons of plants and a neat tree house to explore- I especially enjoyed watching the birds bathe in a fountain through the cottage window while getting my wedding make up done
Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for the magical experience : )

Really enjoyed staying in Hummingbird Cottage. The property is quirky and might not be for everyone, so read the accurate description carefully when booking. We were looking for something a bit different so it really suited us. It was great to wake up to birdsong. The property is up the hill from the town so you need to be reasonably mobile if walking between the two, which we found simpler than driving.

The location of this adorable property was within a short walk from many restaurants and shops on Main Street, a street without cars. We enjoyed seeing the hummingbirds feed on the bushes outside our window.

Hummingbird cottage is a delightful getaway with a peekaboo view of the sea on a clear day. There is a beautiful garden to explore which is teaming with birds. Although it is a small house, it has everything. Plus it’s a 5 minute drive or a 12 mins to walk to downtown Ventura

This the mosr adorable little cottage. It's small, but very comfortable and it has everything you need. Down some steps there is a nice seating area eith a fire pit. We sat and watched the sunset and just relaxed with greenery all around. The owner lives in the front house, and she is really nice and ready to help with anything you might need. My husband's back was acting up, and Sandra gave him some ice packs. We stayed here last November, and now we are already planning a return stay. 10 stars all around.

Despite a short stay, I had a great time!

The cottage is clean, quaint, and beautiful, it was perfect for my trip. I spent a lot of time in the tree house which was very quiet and cozy. Thank you Sandra for the lovely stay!!

Perfect place for an Enchanting Get Away

Beautiful location! Very close to the beach and downtown. I had visited Ventura before, but the host recommended some great eats and entertainment around the area. I would recommend this cottage to anybody wanting a break from the outside world with their own little slice of paradise. :)

What an Amazing and Lovely Stay

My husband and I had the most amazing stay! The cottage was so lovely. We loved all the beautiful touches, including the treats! We really enjoyed sitting outside with our morning coffee in the quaint settings while breathing in the ocean air. Everything was clean and cozy, including the comfy bed and hot shower. The treehouse was such a serene place to meditate, too! It was also nice to have the kitchenette. Thanks, Sandra, you couldn't have been lovelier!

The cutest most comfortable cottage!

I absolutely loved this property and all it's unique decor. I had a small dog with me. The back yard was perfectly fenced to keep her in. The host was so sweet and left snacks and drinks in my fridge when I arrived she was easy to communicate with and worked with my needs. I will stay here any chance I get to come to Ventura.

Lovely stay!

Beautiful little get away cottage with easy walks to downtown main street and the beach. Cozy with a quiet, pretty backyard, we did not use the fire pit but it was nice to see it there for next time! The tree house bedroom room is tiny but fun. Everything very clean and pleasant.

Unresponsive host

Before my stay, I heard from host, she seemed very nice. She said she would be getting in touch before ck in. Which never happened. Listing told me about a lock box and a code, I never saw that. But cottage and tree house were unlocked and keys were inside hanging as described. Reality of property did not match photos at all. Very outdated and run down. I could not see the ocean view from anyplace. Listed also were washer dryer use. It appears they are attached to host home, looked to be locked. Messaged host if I may use facilities on Thursday also told her tv was not working in bedroom and never heard back. Not a word. Disgusting sponge left for use to clean dishes. Dingy sheets and towels. Not a drawer for my things and closet (if we can call it that) was also for toaster oven use. While treehouse and cottage were ‘charming’ it did not live up to listing and host was MIA. Would not stay again.

Charming Cottage

We had a wonderful time at the Hummingbird Cottage. Although small, the quaint and adorable lodging had all of the amenities that you need for an overnight stay or a whole week! Sandra was very responsive to our inquiries and so accommodating throughout our stay. The location was perfect for our stay; we walked everywhere we needed to go. I give it an A!

Birdwatchers Delight

Amazingly cozy cottage with the best landscape for bird watching from your bedroom windows! Sandra went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed and offered suggestions from local attractions to the best places to eat. Fabulous location for all the Ventura area hotspots- downtown Ventura, Channel Island ferry, Santa Monica Mountains, and more!

The Worst Host I've Ever Had

I will try to keep this short. The owner of this property lied in her listing about having air conditioning. We texted and messaged her about this, and she never wrote back. It turns out she was 20 feet away in the front house. When questioned by VRBO management, she told them the air conditioner was "in the garage." (I'm not making this up.) It took me a month of fighting to get a full refund. I am now writing a letter to the CEO of VRBO. I hate being lied to in business. Don't stay here!

Property was awesome. Host was rude, argumentative and condescending.

If our stay would have been for just the weekend this would have been a 5-star review. BUT things turned sour on Monday the 8th.The tv stopped working & I called Sandra. She stated that she was 70 miles away & very busy but would video call later. My son was finally able to get it working. I missed a step down in the middle of the night but I was able to land on my feet sore from the jolt. I HIGHLY suggest some kind of lighted strip or something to make people aware it is there.

Small house with very nice gardens

The cottage was in a nice location, easy walking distance to Ventura downtown. The rooms were small but ok for a solo traveler like me or a couple. The gardens around the cottage were very nice and I felt like it was a very pleasant experience.

Cottage/ Tree house

We had the toilet back up the first night and there was no plunger on the property. Soemone brought over a toilet plunger and gave it to me. No maintenance man. I used it and the plunger came off. VRBO said the manager was billing us for another n$150.00 for damage to the cottage. The damage included feces on the walls (a lie), and stolen bed linen. (another lie). She even charged us for a new plunger that she said I broke. We left everything as we found it or better and we took no linen. Bad news.

I'm accused of leaving excrement and food on the floors and walls. This is an outrage.

When we left Property: 276728, everything was fine. My wife had cleaned the cottage and nothing was broken. We left the cottage clean. We didn't break any dishes; we didn't take any light bulbs; the batteries were used for the TV remotes that didn't work, we didn't take any towels. the groceries were included in the contract. Sandra said that she would have food in the fridge when we arrived The TV didn't work in the bedroom when we arrived and was never fixed There was no excrement and food on the floor and walls when we left. This is ridiculous. We left the cottage clean and undamaged with all lines and towels left in the hamper. We didn't take anything. We will not pay for damages that we did not cause. Magical Cottage

We had an INCREDIBLE stay! This was one of our favorite vacations ever, and it truly was because of the beautiful space we got to call home for a few days. Sandy was so welcoming and generous, having fresh baked cookies for us upon arrival and giving us tips to the best places in town. Overall it is so peaceful, and the care and attention to detail that went into creating the space does not go unnoticed. We WILL be back!

Forbes magazine lists Ventura as one of the top four places to live in the U.S.! I agree. I have been surprised and pleased with the lovely guests we have had to enjoy the property and all Ventura has to offer..

Voici pourquoi l’hĂŽte a choisi cet hĂ©bergement

Just one hour North of Hollywood, one half hour South of Santa Barbara, and twenty minutes West of Ojai, we have the best of the ocean, the city and the mountains right here and a quick hop away. Pets are also welcome in the cottage. Securely fenced and ready to roam, the large garden and wild lower yard are, as recent guests described it, 'Dog Heaven'.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The treehouse is tiny and enchanting. Completely wired, WIFI friendly and heated, it is perfect for naps for adults or children to sleep in. Best view on the property of the green, untouched mountains to our North. Some guests have had to draw straws to determine who gets the treehouse!
