Relax, Swim, Fish, Float, Grill, Play & Have Fun at Golden Sands Getaway!

Our 3 bedroom, 2 full bath lakefront cabin is set up for your quiet getaway!
The great room with cathedral ceiling overlooks the back yard and lake. The TV in the living room has a Roku device for you to login to your apps for all your favorite shows. *We have an antenna for local channels but not all channels come in and some channels are spotty.*

Our wireless Internet works great for streaming or work if need be. There is also a desk in the master bedroom for those that can’t get away from work.

We have central air and a gas fireplace. There is a laundry room with washer and dryer. Bedding and bath towels are provided. *Please bring your own towels for the lake.*

The kitchen is set up with dishes, pots/pans, etc to make your favorite meals and includes a dishwasher!

There are 3 bedrooms – two bedrooms with queen beds, one bedroom with two bunk beds (twin over full and twin over twin). There is a pack n play and misc toys for the young ones.

There are 2 full bathrooms – one with a tub/shower and stand up shower, the other has a stand up shower only.

There are 3 kayaks (one adult and 2 youth) along with lots of toys and inflatables. The kids will love swimming right in the back yard. There is a gradual slope and sandy bottom which makes it perfect for the younger ones. We also have an inflatable island to swim to and play on. There are a ton of fish (mostly small bluegill) in the lake. Not for the avid fisherman but great for kids to catch off the side of the dock.

There is a large wrap around deck which includes a gazebo with mosquito netting and a gas grill to make dinner. Relax and take in the tranquil scenery on the large wooden swing or one of the hammocks overlooking the lake. End your day by having a fire in the backyard firepit. Make s’mores and tell campfire stories! *Firewood is NOT provided.*

***Golden Sands Lake is a small lake that is peaceful and quiet (around 8 acres). No gas motors allowed. No outside watercraft allowed on the lake.
Parties and events are not allowed here. Loud music and loud noise are not allowed here.
Only the number of guests on the reservation are allowed. If you would like day guests, you need to get permission.
We put the dock in and clean up the swimming area around Memorial Day. We take out the dock around Labor Day. You are still able to easily take the boats out without the dock in the water.
There are some times during the year where the shoreline collects debris. It depends on the weather and unfortunately, we cannot control that. Sometimes it just takes moving the water around for it to clear up. It is not the norm and happens rarely during the year. Most of the time, it is great for swimming and playing along the shoreline.
Depending on the amount of rain we have that year, there may be more of a “beach” if the water is low. If the water is high, the lake might come up to our grass area. We still have lots of sand in the back yard for the kids to play in. It just might not be your typical “beach”.
