Sawtooth Chalet is a quaint, cozy cottage in the woods that is just waiting for you! Located in Tofte, Minnesota, this two-bedroom, one-bathroom home is warm, welcoming, and inviting. Located a short drive to many North Shore attractions, this is the perfect basecamp for your outdoor adventures!

The sign in the kitchen reads "Love grows best in little houses just like this", and we couldn't agree more! This home is clean, modern, and sits on a large wooded property. Cozy up in front of the gas woodstove in the living room, or challenge your family to a board game on the spacious kitchen island. The living area is open and inviting, meaning you can be enjoying a movie, playing games, and preparing a meal without missing a moment with family and friends. The bedrooms are the perfect place to rest your head after a long day of exploring the North Shore! The entire home is located on a single level but is elevated up to allow for a spacious deck, perfect for enjoying your cup of coffee in the morning.

Sawtooth Chalet is the perfect year-round destination, too! Here, you are close to miles of snowmobile trails (and there's plenty of room for parking a trailer!), as well as miles of hiking and biking trails just a short way away. So whether you come in the summer, spring, winter, or fall, you're sure to find an adventure at Sawtooth Chalet.

Great place to stay

My family had a wonderful time staying up in North Shore this past summer. The cabin was exactly as we expected (or perhaps a little better) from the pictures online. Check-in and check-out process was easy. We cooked 2 meals a day at this place, and they had all the dishes we were looking for. This was a great place to stay and will be looking at booking with Cascade Vacation Rentals in the future!

Weekend on the North Shore of Lake Superior

The property is in a nice location, very clean and has everything you need except......Air Conditioning. It was very humid on the days we stayed here and AC was badly needed. It is tough to sleep at night with the high humidity and no AC.

Great Vacation

This is the second time we stayed at this property to run segments of the Superior Hiking Trail as well as do some biking. The house is secluded, cute and spacious and is nestled on a beautiful wooded lot not far from the main highway. We had a fridge issue and the management company brought us a replacement mini fridge a couple hours after we reported the issue. Kudos for great customer service!

Great place to stay!

This cabin in the woods has everything you need and felt very spacious for us. It was very tidy upon arrival. It has a great kitchen with a large kitchen island with bar stools where we had our meals. We enjoyed the fire ring in the yard, and the porch, and the cute little bird feeder on the window where a black capped chickadee was paying us many visits. It's a 20 min drive to Lutsen Mt where we downhill skied. We had fantastic weather, snowed 8 inches, then sunny and warm days for great skiing. Recommend this cabin.

Great place for a small group.

A couple of friends and I stayed here while skiing/snowboarding at Lutsen for a couple days. It was a great spot and provided a comfortable spot for us when not on the mountain.

Girls weekend

The property was perfect for girls weekend! We enjoyed all the property had to offer, from a great kitchen, propane fireplace, our own bedrooms and just the right size bathroom.

Cascade Rental in Tofte

I think the property was very nice, clean and convenient. I was extremely frustrated with the combo lock on the door. I COULD NOT GET IN. Then had to drive to office to see who could get it open. Then I had a call that I had to get back to the cities the next day so I did NOT STAY MY SECOND NIGHT. I will never rent thru Cascade Rentals again. MY HUGE MISTAKE

This house is in a great location for those adventuring on the north shore as it is in the middle of all the parks and attractions. The place was clean and as described. No AC which we knew going into the weekend, fans provided. We would stay again.

Great choice!

They had everything we'd want in a place besides AC, which we knew going into it. Honestly, we didn't need it for our stay, though. I brought a fan and barely used it. The only reason I gave it 4 stars on location is that I scraped my car bottom every time I came in or exited the location regardless of the angle of approach. My clearance isn't, great, though, so if you have decent clearance, I'm sure you'd be fine.

Nice cabin

We had a nice stay. No air conditioning, and it got pretty hot. Fans were provided in the house though so that was great. Beautiful area. All necessities provided at the house, good central location.

Was not happy about having to take my recycle with me. SundaysTofte mid station is not open. Driving up to Lutsen to drop off is less than ideal. Other than that great stay!! 🙂

Great stay

It was an absolutely amazing stay at the cabin! Really wish we could have enjoyed a fire but after dealing with the skeeters all day hiking we didn’t wanna deal with them around a fire! The property was great, it was clean, and it was nice proximity to all the state parks.

Excellent SHT Access

We traveled to the North Shore area to spend some quality time on the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) and this made an excellent home base for all of our trail runs over the course of 4 days. The house is clean, comfortable, and the kitchen is well stocked with quality utensils/pots/pans. I highly recommend for 3-4 travelers who are looking to have a comfortable home base from several great trailheads.
