Shellington Ii is a oceanfront cottage in a beautiful setting. We enjoyed our time there and we're blessed with beautiful weather.

The location was perfect. The sheets had dog hair on them. Wish we were given a few more towels/linens. We were a family of 4 and we were given a pack of linens that contained 1 towel, 1 hand towel, and 1 washcloth for each person to use for all 3 days. No hand towel in the bathroom either.

This house worked well with just us two and our small dog. We enjoyed sitting on deck in the captain chairs every evening. Is an older house but has been updated with wooden floors and good bathroom. We enjoyed our stay!

Great beach access. But the house itself was musty - it was noticeable as soon as we opened the door and before even going inside. Bed sheets were already sandy and the comforters were heavily stained, greasy and very cheap. No working lights in the kitchen and no working lights outside by the door or for the driveway. No towel bars in the bathroom. No hose on the porch for rinsing off after the beach - there is a hose underneath but it’s surrounded by sand and defeats the purpose. Zero interior door mats or floor rugs so no wonder it was already sandy before we got there. The advertised grill and fish cleaning station were rusted out and absolutely disgusting, wholly unusable. Dishes in the kitchen were clearly put away dirty. At least the beach was easy to get to.

Oak Island Beachfront

Wonderful little getaway with amazing location. We spent three weeks at this location and loved the ability to completely unplug. Amazing sunsets, beachfront location, and pet friendly. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Just what we needed

We enjoyed our stay at Shellington. It was our dogs first visit at the beach and they had a great time! The location was perfect, just steps from the beach.The house can use a few update, but was comfortable for October weather.

Perfect girls week!!

My friends and I spent a week at this property and it was wonderful. Beautiful ocean views from the porch and very comfortable. We spent most of our time on the porch with the ocean! We will be back!

What View!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was the perfect size for us as a couple and allowed our dog to enjoy his first beach trip! Fabulous view right on the beach. Very peaceful. And communication from the property mgt was the best ever!

Breathtaking

The view was fantastic. Bed/sofa/recliner very comfortable. Appliances available. Lots of towels and washcloths!! We were very comfortable, relaxed and enjoyed our stay tremendously. And a great complimentary bottle of wine!!

Nice spot

This was a nice spot! Family really enjoyed themselves. Perfect for a family of four. I was disappointed with the grill and the fact that there was a description of chairs and a wagon. Overall is was a great week!!
