About this space and location:

This renovated 1920 duplex is nestled in the charming Mac-Groveland neighborhood, just minutes from downtown St. Paul. Due to being within 2 miles of the Mississippi River, there are endless walks, bike trails, and picnic spots with fabulous views. There are several local restaurants, coffee shops and bars that are extremely walkable. Some of these places are right in the neighborhood!

It is the perfect little getaway!
The space
The space is a 2 bedroom apartment, full-sized kitchen, fully equipped to cook a full meal, bake cookies, or fry up some breakfast. There is also a full-sized dining space and living room with a smart TV.

There is a dedicated workspace desk/entry table, with 20mbps wifi speed. Feel free to move the decor around to accommodate your laptop. There are two extra monitors in the front bedroom closet for your use.

The bathroom has a tub and shower, simple but efficient. Towels and blowdryer can be found in the hallway closet, and other bathroom needs can be found under the sink vanity.

Free street parking is available right in front of the house.

House was very clean; clean sheets and towels. Bathroom had a few deficits: low toilet made it hard for older adults to get up easily. Only outlet in the bathroom doesn't work. Property is a bit dated. Appreciated that front steps were clear of snow and ice and dry the entire time we stayed. Beds are okay. Bed in back room by bath is mounted on a frame that is too small so part of the mattress hangs over the side. Several of the slats came off the rails while sleeping. Was jarring. Heat very responsive so house nice and cozy in very cold temperatures. Would have liked a measuring cup in the kitchen. Barely stocked with silverware (a few forks and spoons). This is a perfectly adequate property. Nothing special but also nothing to complain about.Location is very good. Coffee shop and focaccia restaurant half a block away. Within walking distance to lots of other restaurants and shops and McAlester College in good weather. Would be a hard walk in snowy or icy weather. Ample street parking.

Very comfortable. Had everything we needed. Plenty of street parking. The June House is the 1st floor apartment in an older home with hardwood floors, so you can hear people moving about in the upstairs apartment.

This was an adorable property that met all of our needs. It was a bit noisy, as it is on a busy street with an apartment upstairs. The refrigerator is a dorm fridge so there was not a lot of space for food, but if you are there for a short time, it would be sufficient. We were only left a half roll of toilet paper with no extra, so we did run out on day 2 which was interesting. The property was clean with a great vibe!

It’s a downstairs duplex and you hear every step of the people upstairs. The bathroom is pretty grimy/outdated. Other than that it was a nice place in a quiet, convenient location.

Reunion

The apartment was perfect for our stay with restaurants and grocery store nearby. Two of our group stayed here since the others live locally. We could hear the people upstairs talking and walking around, but they were quiet at a decent hour. Convenient to the airport as well.

Comfy for 2 couples

Enjoyed the place. Convenient to St Kate's and Macalester (whose women's basketball games we were attending). Nice throw blankets helped keep us warm during mid-Feb freezing temps. Comfy beds. Some noise from upstairs tenants. Host accommodated our request for earlier check in.

Lovely Winter Stay

I agree with other great reviews. We especially enjoyed the natural light and openness of the home. The owner was quick to shovel us out during a snow emergency with his darling son. Will definitely stay again.

Great stay

This is an ideal location for us - near family and easy access to both downtowns and the airport. The apartment is just as described. It’s an older building, but very comfortable.

Fantastic Spot

This is a great location. It was just what we needed for our quick trip to the cities over the weekend. The beds were great, with a lot of extra throw blankets and heavy duvet, if we got cold. We utilized the oven to make a pizza, and there was plenty of plates, cutlery, etc. A very minor thing, but it would be a plus to add a pizza cutter to the drawer of cooking gadgets. If the location is available when we come back down to the cities, we will definitely stay again.
