With Cuchara Ski Basin now open, skiing is just a day trip away! Kayak and fish in the lake, hike, mountain bike or just enjoy the beautiful views. This is the perfect spot to relax for up to 2 adults. Inquire about pets. Come and enjoy Colorado outdoors. This is 20 min from downtown. The roads are dirt and a 4WD is not required but may make travel easier in inclement weather.

The cabin was perfect and very peaceful with an awesome view of the lake. The host was extremely attentive, willing to go the extra mile if necessary. I would highly recommend this to anybody who wants to avoid city noise and just relax.

The Trinidad Tiny House was our perfect getaway, in a sweet spot overlooking Trinidad Lake. While we had much needed rain for the area, the metal roof sang a soothing sound for relaxing. And the layout of the house was ideal for the two of us. We had everything we needed, including a few indulgences we enjoyed. Thank you Amy for the fresh bouquet and cinnamon rolls! Greatly appreciated, as well as a big thank you for sharing this magical place! We’d love to come back.

Are you looking to get away in the mountains of Colorado minus the I70 traffic. This is your place! It’s very secluded and that’s exactly what I was looking for. The cabin was adorable with gorgeous views. Trinidad lake is just 15 minutes away with all kinds of activities. Amy the owner was so attentive and provided a bottle wine and some nice treats for me and my dog. I will be back for sure!

This place is amazing! If I could rate it a 10 I would! The view from the porch is fabulous: lake, mountains, and so many trees. Although the cabin is small, the view is worth every penny. The host left us wine, lots of coffee pods, a delicious coffee cake, fresh flowers and more. We will definitely be coming back to stay here!

This was the perfect combination of isolation and adventure! It was so quiet at the cabin and the view was beyond description. A trip to the state park nearby and downtown Trinidad complemented this cozy retreat. Our host clearly has a passion for hospitality. Our stay couldn’t have been better!

Everything about our vacation stay at the Lake Cabin was fantastic! This property has everything going for it if you are looking for a comfortable, cozy, private retreat with a spectacular view of Lake Trinidad and beautiful surroundings. Upon arrival, we were surprised to find a nice bottle of wine and tasty snacks. The host couple, Amy and Martin, were very conscientious about every detail and went out of their way to tend to an unexpected problem with the air conditioning. We plan to return anytime we are in Southern Colorado.

Good communication with Amy, very hospitable. Easy check-in and check-out. Very clean, cozy and quant lil gem by the lake with beautiful views from the outside deck of the lake & mountains, very private tucked away in the mountain landscape.Very surprised by the beautiful flowers and goodie’s welcoming us to this home away from home.
