We really enjoyed our stay. The property is close to Northstar village and recreation center. The kitchen is well stocked and the house is set up well. We also were disappointed to see that the tv room on the third floor actually had an opening to the living room that was just closed off by plantation shutters. We put our baby in that room and felt like we had to ask our other friends to be quiet after baby bedtime.

Northstar Village and the rec center being right there makes for an easy home base, and we're glad the well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful layout worked in your favor. Thank you for the candid note about the third-floor room as well — sound and privacy between spaces is worth a closer look, and that's been passed along to our team. Traveling with a baby means every quiet hour counts, so we appreciate you sharing how that affected the evenings. We'd love to welcome your group back to Tahoe anytime.

Great Location

The location was key to a great ski vacation. We were easily able to walk to the village and get on the slopes. The condo easily accommodated 6 adults, with a great common area and separate areas for privacy.

Updated Aspen Grove

This place was amazing. We have stayed in alot of rentals at Northstar but this was the best. Close to the parking for loading and unloading, and an easy walk up to the village. The place was updated and it feels alot more spacious.

Fantastic house and location

We had a great time staying at this house. Just less than 10mn walk to Northstar village and ski gondola and were able to ski back almost right to the front door. The place has everything you would need. Super nice and clean, great linens and bath products. Really everything was perfect. AvantStay team were super helpful (we arrived right before the big blizzard) and very responsive to any of our questions. I highly recommend this place.

Great location, so-so cabin

The location was great. We walked into the village as well as took the shuttle. Check-in was easy. The cabin is old and just ok. It's what you expect for these Northstar cabins but it would be great if owners could invest a little bit to improve them. The mattresses are very uncomfortable. The king mattress downstairs has a huge center divet and the foot end is higher than the head end. It made for a terrible nights sleep. We ended up on the couch. The other king mattress was better but still not great. The cabin smells. I think it is from the old carpeting and upholstery. As soon as you open the door you get a whiff of it. Many of the towels were dirty. They had dark brown spots and the makeup towels had makeup on them! The cabinet is on 3 floors. So there is a lot of going up and down stairs. Overall it is a great location, but would not stay here again.

Overall good/average stay, BUT misleading in description! Read fine print.

Description is misleading and does NOT include all of the amenities that are implied or described. I don’t want to be a consumer that has to read all the fine print to get my money’s worth. Felt more like a typical “bait and switch” deal, and didn’t feel as valued as a Custumer, but was now locked in once were were there. We didn’t find out until we got there that it does NOT include access to the community pool, gym, spa, and pickle courts unless you pay another $10 per persons per day! Also, no access to the BBQ, even when there is a picture of it. Lastly, no broom or vacuum to be found in the residence and none dropped off when they said they would. Response time to questions and inquires were pretty good, but it did seem to be a lot of lip service, being told 3-4 times I asked about the services described, that “unfortunately” it wasn’t available, with no follow up to provide alternatives or reconciliations. Overall, average place to stay, but it had several disappointments. You got my money this time, but won’t stay with Avantstay again.

Great accommodations! Very clean, plenty of space, and appears to recently be renovated. We especially liked how close it was to the Village and the recreation area!However, there is a ceiling beam inches above the bed in the “loft room”, which made sleeping up there uncomfortable. I recommend pulling out the sofa bed instead of using the loft.
