Chalet Sunset - 2600 pieds carrés Retraite multi-saisonnière à seulement 15 minutes d'Ashland!

Chalet de 3 étages niché dans les montagnes Cascade à 4000 'd'altitude. Vue fantastique surplombant les monts Siskiyou, les monts Klamath, la vallée de la Colestine et le mont. Ashland. Couchers de soleil impressionnants!
Idéal pour les randonneurs (à 5 minutes de Pacific Crest Trail et Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument / Pilot Rock), les motards (des dizaines de sentiers du mont. Ashland jusqu'à Ashland), les skieurs (Mt. Ashland Lodge est à 15 minutes), des chevrons (le put-in de Klamath River est à 30 minutes au sud) et les types shakespeariens qui préfèrent l'intimité avec vue! 15 minutes d'Ashland en descendant le sommet I-5 Siskiyou.
Le chalet a une terrasse de 1000 pieds carrés et est situé dans les montagnes Cascade et construit de manière à ne pas changer l'environnement naturel.

Pourquoi le propriétaire a choisi Ashland: Cette propriété a été un projet de rêve. J'ai acheté le terrain nu en 2007 et j'ai commencé la construction à l'automne de cette année. Le chalet a été achevé en février 2009. Comme pour toute nouvelle construction sur une superficie, les petits projets sont constamment en cours! Le propriétaire habite sur la propriété, mais loin des clients pour leur intimité.

Si vous visitez pendant les mois d'hiver (et peut-être au printemps et à l'automne), il est conseillé de conduire un véhicule à 4 roues motrices équipé de chaînes à pneus. Bien que les 4 roues motrices ne soient généralement pas nécessaires, Mère Nature nous a surpris avec des accumulations de neige modérées à fortes!

Les avantages uniques de ce chalet: Si vous voulez la paix et la tranquillité avec une vue spectaculaire, alors c'est l'endroit pour vous! Parfait pour les réunions de famille à seulement 15 minutes d'Ashland en voyageant vers le nord sur la I-5.

My house cleaner wondered if the house had even been occupied. Not until she saw the towels washed and the dishwasher ran, did she realize there were actually people staying! I would recommend Kevin and his group to any VRBO/Homeaway Owners!

Home away from home

We had a comfortable stay with all the amenities provided, the views were spectacular and we enjoyed our time at home. Only we found the drive way to house which was tricky as we had got a huge van and didn't know about the treacherous roads found there at that elevation.

Had the renters read the Rental Agreement sent well before they arrived, they would have known that the chalet in the mountains has a driveway with inclines. However, the driveway is FAR from treacherous.

Stunning views!

We stayed here to celebrate my son‘s graduation from SOU. The kitchen was perfect. The rooms were comfortable, and the view was incredible! The drive was about 15 minutes outside of Ashland, which for us worked just fine. We had six grown adults in our party. Two couples and two singles, which was perfect with one adult sleeping on a couch. More and it would’ve been very close quarters and difficult sleeping. I would highly recommend for the views alone!

Great location with a spectacular view! Construction on the Chalet has not been completed. Maintenance is lacking! Furnishings appear to be thrift store bargains, including the linens. Skiing at Mt. Ashland was wonderful. A great little resort!

Construction is always ongoing at the chalet to improve renter comfort and to enhance the property as a whole. At no time, does construction occur while renters are present! The notion that the furnishings are "thrift store bargains" is untrue and inherently unfair. The photos of the chalet interior should suffice in allaying potential visitors concerns of the true nature of my chalet. Linens are replaced frequently and sooner if they are damaged in any way. Per maintenence issues, the Hot tub has been repaired as well. I sincerely apologize for any perceived inconvenience. I want to assure our future guests that these problems either did not exist or we were not made aware of them at the appropriate time. We are committed to making sure all of our guests are satisfied and comfortable.

OSF Weekend

In Ashland for a couple of OSF shows, we chose to stay a bit out of town in a beautiful house with an excellent view. The house suits three couples just fine with room for more. Bought groceries and made meals at the house in the well stocked and roomy kitchen. We'll be back! : )

Lovely setting, private place

We enjoyed the rural setting, privacy and quiet of the house. We found the owner easy to work with and the house adequately supplied. We did find the house to be a bit more rustic than expected with no door on the upstairs bedroom and the upstairs bathroom with two upper walls open to the living room so you could hear anything going on in there. Kitchen was adequate and we hosted several large get-togethers.

Great place for a family gathering

This was a perfect place for our family birthday celebration. We loved the view, easy access to Ashland, the beds and bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen was roomy and easy to cook in. Lovely decorations/artwork. Everything was very clean (and I really appreciated having an abundance of clean dishtowels and towels available). We had a little hiccup with getting in the chalet because we had only been given the old instructions as to where the key was, but Paul was available to provide the lockbox info so we were able to get in. A few things that would have made the stay even better - WIFI access would have been nice as the cell service was not great (for Verizon at least) and the seating in the living room was not quite adequate for the six of us. But all things considered this was a perfect spot for us and I would certainly recommend it for others.

Beautiful, mountain home!

This property has the most breathtaking view of the hills and valley! It is a very spacious home with more than enough areas for our entire family to be comfortable. The master closet is so large, my granddaughters slept in it! We enjoyed our stay very much and would choose to stay there again if staying in that area.

Amazing view

Great communication with the owner, Paul, who helped even after we left and my sister realized she forgot something there. The place so stunning. We saw it driving in up interstate 5 and were so excited to check in. It was clean and has everything you need for summer or winter. There’s games, wifi, satellite tv, and a fire pit. I hope to come back in the winter to go skiing. There is definitely room for 14 people. It was perfect for my family, my sister’s, and our parents. I bet it’s even more spectacular in the winter! Thanks for being such a great host, Paul!

Fantastic house with a great view

Had a great stay for a ski weekend at Mt. Ashland. Close proximity to the mountain, brought everything we needed for 4 days so no need to run to town for anything. The house is set up nicely, great fireplace, close to hiking on the PCT and an easy drive up to Mt Ashland. Great communication with Paul (owner), easy check in and check out instructions, and the house is very well stocked with everything you need for preparing meals. Very much look forward to a return stay in the future!

I enjoy all outdoor activities such as golfing, hunting , fishing, skiing, sailing and scuba diving.

Voici pourquoi l’hôte a choisi cet hébergement

This property has been a dream project. I purchased the bare land in 2007 and began construction in the Fall of that year. The Chalet was completed in February 2009. As with all properties on country acreage, the little projects are constantly ongoing! Over the years, we have added a large fire pit, concrete slabs and landscaping. But, not so much to detract from the natural beauty of the property.

Voici ce qui rend cet hébergement unique

The Colestine Valley has its own unique physical climate. It may be raining in the Rogue Valley and the sun will be shining in the Colestine Valley.
Additionally, many people do not know that there is a large Buddhist Temple below the chalet in the valley. I always recommend to visitors to visit the temple for a half day trip. It is 3 miles down Colestine Rd. off the Mt. Ashland access road. Owner occupies a separate part of the property for your privacy.
Take the time to clear your mind and tune in to the positive energy of the valley.
Mt. Ashland access road is 3 miles north from my front gate. Mt. Ashland has a ski resort as well as challenging biking trails that end up down into the City of Ashland. The Pacific Crest Trail intersects my road 2 miles north of my front gate.
