My husband and I are both retired and have 6 kids between us and lots of grands. We love our family time and work hard to make those times happen.

Julia is from Arkansas and loves to go "home" to enjoy the beauty and the peace and quiet. Rick is from Texas and is willing to go along with Julia.

We chose this spot and built this cabin after spending several vacations at other cabins on this river, and others. We sought out this particular lot for the beauty, location and access to some "civilization." We had the lot for several years before designing and building this cabin that was completed in December 2021. We have since added a lot to it.

Our favorite parts of the cabin are the huge upper deck and the lower deck where, from both, we can watch and hear the river. We love to sit at the firepit, making S'mores and gazing at a sky full of bright stars.

The cabin is spacious enough and has seating enough for a family or a group of friends. The decor is rustic with several nice touches. The beds have been described by guests as "most comfortable bed I have slept in."

The River of Dreams cabin has a 60 foot deck at the back of the cabin that has unbelievable views of the Caddo River. A lower deck, closer to the river, provides yet another area from which to enjoy the river. There are stairs leading directly to the river making access easy. There are very few cabins on the Caddo with direct access by stairs.

The cabin was designed by us to be open and to have plenty of room for everyone to gather, to eat or to play games. The rustic decor has received highly positive comments with some guests asking the paint color and where to get the furniture.

The kitchen is fully stocked with all new appliances plus a Keurig coffeemaker for pods or full pots. The cabin has many basic items a guest will need and some that you won't find elsewhere. We even provide coffee, S'mores "makings" and skewers, brownie mix and several spices, sugar and flour.

This cabin is beautiful inside and out and is perfect for making memories no matter what the weather is. Outside is the deck with rocking chairs and a table with chairs for dining. There is a firepit with comfortable Adirondack chairs. Inside you will find comfy seating, a gas operated fireplace, large TV, videos for all ages and interests and board and card games.
