Ukrainian Village Hideaway

Located in the heart of Ukrainian village and just a few short minutes from downtown, your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, nightlife, and a 10 minute ride to downtown! the apartment includes everything you need for a comfortable stay including Queen sized bed, full kitchen, high speed internet, tv, modern bathroom and free street parking.
The space
Newly remodeled modern english garden apartment with private entrance, queen sized bed, high speed wifi, and more all located in the greatest city! We've recently updated the home to include all the modern amenities, while maintaining its charm. While recently remodeled, this is an older building with tenants who live upstairs. You can hear footsteps and voices from the above units. This is a great neighborhood that is close to all types of food, drink, and entertainment, as well as close to downtown, public transportation, and major roads/highways. We have a full kitchen with all the necessities. If you notice anything that affects your stay, please let us know and we'll do our best to correct it. We want you to have a safe and comfortable stay.

You will have the entire place to yourselves with private entrance.
Other things to note
- This is a garden unit with private entrance.

- Pack n' Play is available upon request at no charge.

- Access to a washer and dryer is available upon request for an additional fee.

- ONLY guests included on the reservation are permitted overnight on the premises. Any violation will result in a fee of $50/person/night for any undeclared guest.

- Arrange for replacement or repair of any items accidentally broken/damaged or permanently stained during the stay.
Unsalvageable stained linens - $15/pc.
Unsalvageable stained towels - $10/pc.

- Do not leave the place excessively dirty. A charge of up to $100 will be collected for prolonged cleaning and extra work incurred.

Everything was fine - clean and easy. Could have used a bit more in the kitchen (no pan, soap, or simple cooking ingredients).

The rental was perfect for our trip. Location was conveniently central to the neighborhoods we spent time in (the Loop, Northside, and West Town) and the unit was just enough space for 2 friends to not get on each other’s nerves. Unit was clean and quiet, and the footsteps from the units above weren’t loud. Gina was accessible and quick to respond to asks/questions. Would definitely recommend.

Great location 2 blocks from the bus. Lots of great places to shop and eat within walking distance of 10 minutes or less. The neighborhood was quiet, well kept and we felt secure. We stayed 4 nights. The basement apartment was comfy, clean, and had everything we needed. The 2 air conditioners were plenty to keep us cool in this hot August heat. Host was very organized and responded quick when needed. We enjoyed the big, firm but comfortable bed. Would stay again. Thanks Gina!

Great Location, Nicely Renovated

We enjoyed our stay at Ukrainian Village, mostly due to location in Wicker Park & the discounted price we received. The house was recently renovated and was in great condition with thoughtful touches. I would not, however, rent here again. There was an inordinate amount of communication with the owners (25+messages) & there were some basic aspects of this house that were missing. There is NO ability to change the temperature of the unit without messaging the owners and we were hot our entire stay (they did install AC units in the windows while we were there, but it was still very hot). There was a 27 page welcome packet that did not list the Wifi Password (another message to the owner). While not necessary, there is nowhere in this unit to work or use a laptop comfortably. I would not recommend for 4 adults and the room got very hot and it was a tight squeeze. This is a great VRBO for a couple on a trip who will spend most of their time exploring the city & wants a good value when prices are high.
