Russian Riverside Cottage in Healdsburg

Wonderful river getaway in a cabin on North Fitch Mountain Rd. Lots of trees, views of the Russian River, and easy river access. River chairs, shading, and accessories provided to practically guarantee a perfect day of rest and relaxation after exploring the downtown or one of the beautiful local wineries.

Built into the hillside, a cozy 2 bedroom one bath get away to rest and relax. Well stocked kitchen (condiments and spices to help you execute your meals) with a table that sits 6 easily. Living room opens to a river facing deck with outdoor dining and relaxation options.
Cabin is two levels built into the hillside. Lower level is is reserved for the owner's residence. Both levels have separate entrances and decks with views.

Living area and bedrooms have air conditioners for those hot summer days. In addition for those brisk days, the living room has a gas fireplace to snuggle up in front of with a good book or your favorite show.

We loved this sweet place!

We really enjoyed our stay. The communication with owner was great and we will come back again. The beach is just right there and our young adult grandchildren love it.

Great stay on the Russian River

I stayed there with my family, including my 19-month old son and we had the best time. The river is so calming and the outdoor patio was a huge hit. It's also just a quick 10-min drive from downtown.

Peaceful stay on the Russian River

We stayed at the Riverside Cottage for 3 weeks and it was so peaceful, relaxing and homey. It was just me and my husband and we enjoyed every minute. The place is only 7 minutes from downtown Healdsburg, but far enough away to feel like you are tucked away in the woods. It was perfect for the two of us.

River Spot

Enjoyed our stay. Always wanted to rent a place by the river. Perfect spot as we had our own private beach. Rented a kayak, stopped and had lunch at the cabin beach and rowed our way back, so convenient. Only a few minutes away to several hiking areas and downtown. Thank you for sharing your lovely home.

Cozy home

We enjoyed Our stay at this cute house near the river. Anything we could’ve needed was there, beds were comfortable. Fireplace worked well when we were a little chilly. I only took one star Off of location because the road is pretty windy and narrow for a mile or 2, but it was still convenient to get to town quickly

Our family enjoyed this lovely tucked-away cottage near the river. The space was cozy but spacious enough for our adult family, the porch was lovely to sit in the morning or at night to view the stars, and the beds were comfortable. There was a clear and easy trail to the river. The river, Russian River, was a bit buggy and mossy to swim in but still enjoyable to sit next to. If we had a kayak or floatation device we may have gotten in and floated down river. There is a beach very nearby if you want to take a short walk. We were just 10 minutes away from downtown Healdsburg and not much farther from the local wineries like Dry Creek Vineyard. Our host, Caren, was easy to message and she even called to make sure we arrived safely to the cottage. She was a generous host allowing us to use anything in the kitchen and fridge. We didn't end up cooking but if we had, it would have been a good place to do it. The bathroom is small but more than usable. Shower had good water pressure and we had all the towels we needed. We would stay here again in the future.

Disappointed

I hesitated to write this review because owner was so nice, accomodating, and responsive to my concerns, and I don't write a negative reviews. However, my family thought I should just to help other renters. I felt it was extremely expensive for what we got, but maybe that's the area; have paid less in area's hotels. Badly in need of remodel and updating (especially kitchen, bathroom, etc.), unit not clean when checked in (smelled stale, hair and bugs on sheets) and deck not inviting as shown. Beautiful setting -- fall colors starting, beachfront to Russian river
