Located minutes from downtown, this cozy 1 bedroom/1 bath guesthouse with full kitchen accommodates 4 guests with new furniture, appliances and high-end amenities. Relax in this quiet home but when you’re ready to explore Austin, you're surrounded by tons of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. Walking distance to the iconic South Lamar and South First or a short Uber ride to South Congress or downtown. Have a furry friend? We love pets! There is a $75 fee/per stay to ensure a thorough cleaning for the next guests. Need more room? This cottage is located behind a 3BR house. For an additional fee, rent both units together for weddings, graduation and bachelor/bachelorette groups. **for your safety and security, there are exterior cameras on the outside of this unit PLEASE NOTE: If you are driving to Austin, there is a shared driveway with the main house. Two cars can fit side by side. If you plan on driving, please pull all the way to the shed. If you have more than one car in the party, please park the additional cars on the side streets Âœ block away after you unload your belongings. If someone is staying at the main house, I’ll always ask them to park only one car and to pull over all the way to the left of the driveway so that you can get in and out easily. Please be mindful of the shared space. This unassuming neighborhood located in South Austin provides residents with many of the benefits available to those living south of Lady Bird Lake without attracting a lot of attention. It is close to hip and trendy South Congress Avenue, South Lamar and South First Street with its many funky shops and popular eateries, as well as a quick ride to Lady Bird Lake and downtown.

I brought my bike to bike around the area, which it is close to many restaurants and trails.Check in process was great! I was able to check in a little early and it was wonderful that I was accommodated for this. The home is located behind a main house so it was challenging with the parking because when I arrived guest from the house in front parked where I should’ve parked. I contacted the host, but there was no reply asking they move out of the spot so I can easily get in and get out from my cottage.This made it difficult to unpack my things because they were parked right by the cottage I was staying in. It took a couple days for them to move out of the way, but I was able to walk around the car, it just wasn’t as convenient as parking next to where I was staying due to packing and unpacking my things from my car.The driveway was pretty tight and I had a large vehicle with my bikes so that did make it challenging. Besides all of that, the place was great for the purpose of my quick visit.

Amazing location

This little cottage is in the perfect spot , close to everything! You can walk to just about anything that you might want . The communication is off the charts great , Michelle was excellent. Definitely will stay again !

Close to everything! The only con is there is no broom in the home, with being a pet rental a broom should be a necessity.

Great place to stay in South Austin

My husband and I as well as our two dogs stayed here for a weekend trip. Its location was great and communication with the hosts was very timely! We would stay here again.

Quiet cottage

We just spent one night. The owners were very responsive- they gave us an early check in, so we could get ready for a mid afternoon wedding. We had a slight hiccup with getting in- they were very quick to correct the situation. The place was very quiet for a city spot- I usually use ear plugs, but forgot them this trip. Slept great anyway! Bed was comfy, towels were fluffy. Not fancy, but very nice.

My overall stay was great. There were some things that weren’t so well when I arrived. There were dead bugs on the floor. The bathroom light stopped working after our first day and ants were coming out of the light switch. Along with the fact that there where no cleaning supplies no broom mop or nothing.

Loved this charming house

The house was perfect. We loved the privacy of parking on the property. The courtyard in the back was good for the kids. The house was beautiful and fit our family perfectly. It was great for our last minute Christmas plans to Austin to visit family. The owner was available and answered any questions quickly. We loved our experience and would highly recommend it.

Charming S. Austin bungalow

The location was excellent - convenient to all the activities that you need in an Austin stay. The host had thoughtful touches throughout the house and communicated well. The space was just right for our family to stay and the kids loved the rollaway bed. Wifi was strong, all appliances worked as expected. If there is one drawback, it is parking, but that's an all over Austin problem. We found it a tight fit for a minivan but manageable. Overall, 5 out of 5 and would totally rent this location again.

Well equipped kitchen and plenty of bedding and linens. House is on a busy street . One recommendation is more comfortable couch seating would improve the comfort of the stay. Perhaps add a love seat along the front window wall.

Loved this place

I really enjoyed this home. The location is great and the house has that old Austin feel. Plenty of dishes, pots/pans, and utensils for cooking. Bed were very comfortable. My only minus was that the pictures show a chair in the family room which was not there, making if hard to all watch a movie together. This place would be amazing if there was extra cozy seating in the living room, chairs on the back patio, a fire pit, and a grill. Overall, a great stay.

Great Stay

Our family needed a place to stay while work was being done on our house, so we stayed for 4 nights at this sweet bungalow. It was clean, spacious and close to many restaurants and Austin fun (Soco). The best part about our experience however was the customer service. The homeowner was so quick to reply to all our texts and granted us an early checkin so our kids online learning wouldn't be interrupted. I cannot recommend this house or homeowner enough!
