2 block walk only to a private beach Surf Shack is a perfect location. Open floor plan is ideal for entertaining and all rooms on same floor. W/ the lights on the Front deck listening to the waves at night is tranquil. vacant lots on 3 sides offer peace from neighbors. Cornhole, washer boards and horseshoes offer fun for everyone while at the house. Also 2 blocks to an amazing pizza place, large convenient store and liquor store makes for a great location.

We came to stay here a second time for an anniversary trip with some close friends and our fur babies. Such a perfect location with great beach access only a few steps away. The host is so welcoming and friendly and chill, I felt very safe and comfortable here both times I have stayed. Anytime I come to Galveston in the future for any reason, this is the house I will rent!

The only positive thing about this house is the location. Unfortunately the rest was not so good! The house is rundown… it shakes, it lopsided, water damage is seen throughout the house. With the huge front door gap I’m not sure why you need the door at all. Bunch of ants came through that door and decided to share the weekend with us! Had to find the spray and take care of them! Honestly I was a bit embraced in front of my family that I booked the house like that but the house looked very good on the pictures. On the positive side the size of the house is very nice, spacious bathrooms and bedrooms. Location is perfect as well! It just needs sooooo much work before anyone can stay there without any concerns.

The house will be completely updated by next week with new ceiling, cabinets and countertops. The ants were coming in from the rain and nothing anyone can do about ants except kill them one we see them. Never has that happened but it was fixed right away.

Ill start by saying that we had a great time. The house was comfortable and contained almost everything we needed for our stay. I will say that i was disappointed in the cleanliness of the home. There was dirt and stuff on the floors and the couch. The pictures of the home are outdated and there are some changes compared. I will say the doors to the bathrooms and one of the bedrooms do not latch or lock. There is a leak in the hall bathroom which makes the floor in the hallway moist and makes it curl. I wont stay here again but the trip wasnt rined.

Quaint Place Very Near Beach

We had a great stay in Galveston! The house was clean upon arrival and was super comfortable for our party of 7. The house had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. The beds were cozy, we had plenty of hot water, and the a/c worked great! Proximity to the beach was excellent as well!

Host was very responsive. Older property. Small refrigerator so bring a cooler for your beer and bottled water. Also... might want to bring your own coffee pot...or do what we did and get individual k cups for coffee. Overall, a comfortable place with a great host.

Perfect location

The property is in an absolute perfect location if you want to enjoy a private beach away from the crowds. It was very clean and exactly what was presented online. I plan on renting it again in the future.

The house was well kept and clean, there were a variety of appliances in the kitchen available to use, all in working order and well maintained. Sean was quick to respond to questions and gave clear answers. Overall we had a great time!

Great stay!

The property was clean and ready for us. The proprietor was quick to respond to my questions. Property had a nice fenced in area that was common to the deck so we could let the dog out without worrying about him getting free. Easy 5 minute walk to the beach!

Great Family Trip

My family and furry friends enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Host was very responsive. We had everything we needed to cook and clean, sleep, shower. There is also a doggie door. Close to moody gardens, the pier and the local movie theater.
