LEAVE THE CLEANING TO US! Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish house in the center of Kentucky’s Bourbon Country. Enjoy wildlife and nature in one of our 5 two bedroom cottages. Each sits on two acres. We’re located directly between 4 of the biggest bourbon distilleries on the trail and 20 min from anything!
**There will be a $500 for smoking inside of the cottage

Each cottage has it`s own hot tub and firepit and is nestled on 2 acres of land. We offer customized tours to distilleries, breweries, wineries or a combination of all! You can create your bourbon country experience. Let us know if you`re interested in booking a tour during your stay.

We live on the next property and can be available if needed.

Bourbon Barrel Cottages is an 11 acre gorgeous hillside in the heart of Bourbon country. Custom built with all the amenities of home plus some, each cottage is nestled on it`s own two acre setting.

Parking areas are available at each cottage. Clifton is a country road with beautiful views.
We offer customized tours to distilleries, breweries, wineries or a combination of all! You can create your bourbon country experience. Let us know if you`re interested in booking a tour during your stay.

Anniversary getaway

Surprised my husband with a weekend getaway and bourbon tours. Our cottage was perfect. Clean and stocked with everything we needed and some extra touches. Beautiful grounds. Easy access to distilleries. Couldn’t have asked for a better place or more gracious hosts!

Bourbon Trail and Horses!

We had a fantastic stay at the Bourbon Barrel Cottages! The location was perfect for the Bourbon Trail, Horse Farms, and Fall Meet at Keenland! Close to all, but still far enough to enjoy the peaceful beautiful countryside. The cottages are beautiful, clean, stocked with everything we needed to cook after a full day on the trail. Loved the fire pit, enjoyed that every night, with some bourbon of course! Jay and Angie, thank you for such a wonderful stay, hope to come back again!

Short & sweet

Just a quick overnight passing through the area on the way to Florida. The cabin appears to be newly built. Getting into the grounds & property was extremely easy. The Bain is well appointed & comfortable. Beds were great. Would definitely come back to stay hopefully when having more time to enjoy the areas & the amenities of the cabin.

Excellent cottage and amazing hosts!

The cottages are conveniently located near several distilleries and was the perfect home base for the 4 of us during our recent Bourbon Country trip. The cottage was clean, with all of the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. We booked a tour with Jay to visit several distilleries ... and it was an AMAZING DAY! Thanks so much for making our birthday celebration friends weekend so memorable. Great to meet you, Angie, & Toby! Cheers until we return!

Super Cool!

The cottage was really, really nice and well appointed. Has everything you need. Very clean and easy check-in process. Location is far enough off the major roads for privacy but close enough to Frankfort, Lawrenceburg, etc for groceries and dining. The Ballards are incredibly responsive from a communications standpoint and very helpful. Its a really cool piece of property that they've developed for the 5 cottages. We were there for a short stay in late Jan so we didn't get to enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. Maybe next time!

Each cottage has a 2 acre lot with it's own hot tub and fire pit. Rolling countryside, beautiful scenery and wildlife abound. There is a natural spring on the property and plenty of places to walk/explore.
