Le Touchstone’s Cottage est situĂ© dans un vaste domaine tropical et vaste au milieu de l’üle. Le TS’s Cottage est situĂ© Ă  l’est de la marina de Romora Bay, nichĂ© juste derriĂšre la dune et Ă  environ 100 pas de la cĂ©lĂšbre plage de sable rose. Vous pouvez entendre l'ocĂ©an depuis le patio avant. Le chalet de TS a rĂ©cemment fait peau neuve en octobre 2018 et consistait en peinture fraĂźche Ă  l’intĂ©rieur et Ă  l’extĂ©rieur, en cuisine rĂ©cemment repeinte, en 3 nouvelles unitĂ©s divisĂ©es AC installĂ©es et en nouveaux meubles en intĂ©rieur et en extĂ©rieur. Le cottage de TS est Ă©quipĂ© d’une gĂ©nĂ©ratrice de secours sur la propriĂ©tĂ© qui dĂ©marre automatiquement en cas de coupure de courant, entretien mĂ©nager gratuit une fois par semaine, services de blanchisserie moyennant un petit supplĂ©ment, gestion immobiliĂšre et amĂ©nagement paysager deux fois par semaine. Le cottage de TS se trouve Ă©galement juste Ă  cĂŽtĂ© de la liste 948739 du VRBO House de Touchstone, suffisamment Ă©loignĂ©s pour pouvoir ĂȘtre louĂ©s sĂ©parĂ©ment mais suffisamment proches l'un de l'autre pour ĂȘtre louĂ©s en duo, ce qui est parfait pour les voyages entre familles ou amis. We absolutely loved our stay at Touchstone Cottage. It was the perfect spot for our family of three and felt comfortable, easy, and welcoming from the moment we arrived.The house has great privacy and a beautiful yard where we spent a lot of time hanging out together. Inside, the kitchen and living room were warm and inviting and very well stocked, which made it easy to cook meals and relax in the evenings after long beach days. Everything felt thoughtfully set up and just right. The beds were very comfortable, and both we and our child slept great the entire stay.Karina and David are wonderful hosts: friendly, responsive, and genuinely caring. You can tell they really want their guests to have a great experience.We’ve been coming to Harbour Island every year and this is the first house we’ve stayed in where everything felt perfect, especially given how close it is to the beach (you can hear the waves from the outdoor shower). We’re already looking forward to coming back and staying at Touchstone Cottage again. Highly recommend!

Touchstone Cottage was the perfect place for our family to spend Thanksgiving! The cottage had everything we needed and was just steps from the beach. The owner, Karina, was extremely responsive to texts/questions; and the housekeepers were able to fulfill all requests - from stocking the refrigerator prior to arrival to securing a golf cart for the week. It was the perfect vacation for us and we are planning to rebook for next year!

Just got home from our second time staying at Karina and David’s special property and already cannot wait to book our next stay. It’s such a special place and we truly feel at home - while away from home. Couldn’t be a more beautiful or convenient beach access for our family with three young kids. Plus Neka and Clint coming in every day to help tidy up feels like an extra special treat for the parents. Thank you David and Karina for sharing your special spot with us!

Beautiful Vacation

We throughly enjoyed Touchstone Cottage. The location to the beach is perfect as are the grounds. You feel like you’re secluded in a jungle. The cottage is eclectic and beachy. We will be back for sure!!

The most wonderful vacation

We had the best week at the touchstone cottage. The location is superb, the cottage has everything you need, is beautifully decorated and so clean. Karina was so helpful. This was the best family vacation for our little family of 4! We already miss the touchstone cottage and Harbour Island. We will absolutely be back!!

Perfect for Family of Four

Loved our stay at the cottage! As other reviewers note, everything is as described and the proximity to the beach is amazing. Many days we were the only ones on the beach!The cottage setup was perfect for our family of four with two kids under five. We rented a crib and high chair from the housekeeper (who was also easy to communicate with.) We cooked a number of meals in the kitchen, and the beach tings shed has all of the sand toys and beach accessories you’ll need. Seriously, don’t pack sand toys, beach towels, umbrella, etc! We enjoyed coconuts from the trees in the yard, and encountered a cute orange cat on the property :)Karina, the owner, provided many details and recommendations after booking - taxi, restaurant, boat charters, shopping, and so on. She’s a gem!We would absolutely stay here again and hope to return one day.

Perfect Beach Getaway — Cozy, Clean, and Steps from the Ocean!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, beautifully decorated, and so cozy — it truly felt like a home away from home. We loved how close it was to the beach; you could hear the waves at night, and our early morning walks were the perfect way to start the day. The beds were super comfortable, and the beach gear made it easy and fun for the kids. The outdoor shower was a huge plus after sandy beach days. Communication with the owner was excellent — we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

An oasis

This was our first time to Harbour Island and Karina helped make the trip a success. The cottage is cozy and the outdoor space quite magical. We enjoyed the use of the outdoor shower, played games on the porch and felt quite at home. The house was welcoming and well appointed. The beach was perfect and so close we found ourselves going multiple times a day. I highly recommend the cottage and would trust the owners with any suggestions or other rentals. Thanks so much for a truly amazing stay.

Perfection in Paradise

This was our fifth visit to Harbor Island and was hands down the best, most relaxing accommodations we've experienced. The cottage is welcoming, bright, and decorated comfortably and with style. Karina and Neka were responsive and ensured that we were all set, even checking in during our stay to see if we needed anything. As a family of five traveling with three young children it was the perfect spot. My husband and I could read on the porch while listening to the ocean while the kids played in the yard and collected coconuts. The beach is less then a minute from the cottage and is a serene beach with no one around making it feel like your own. We also enjoyed that it was quiet, outside the nosier "town" of Harbor Island which offers more privacy also. We don't have one complaint and plan to book another stay at the cottage for next year!

Overall great stay

Touchstone cottage was a great home base for our family in our first visit to Harbour Island. We loved the layout of the house with two bedrooms and two bathrooms - perfect for our family of four - and the open kitchen/family room. Really my only issue was that the laundry line was located in the shade, so the beach towels did not ever really dry off. It would have been wonderful to have more towels on site to take to the beach / use in bathroom or have them replaced at some point during our stay. Otherwise was truly a wonderful stay!

A real slice of Heaven

Our experience at Touchstone cottage was incredible from the very start. Even prior to our arrival, Karina reached out to help us feel fully prepared for our trip. She put us in touch with everyone that we needed (a crib rental for our toddler, the golf cart rental, dinner reservation recommendations, our cab driver, etc.). She was so kind and welcoming and made herself available throughout our stay. The property itself was exactly as pictured. The yard was fantastic and well kept and the cottage was so charming. They had everything that we needed from the kitchen to the beach equipment (chairs, towels, sand toys for the kids, an umbrella, etc.). Our two children (ages 5 and 2) had the best time playing in the yard and on the beach. I’d been curious how it would work with two homes on the property, but the yard is spacious and trees offer lots of privacy. Everyone on the island was very friendly and welcoming. We ventured out for golf cart rides around town and to go out to eat. The island is very small and charming and we loved exploring. The beach is truly like no other. It is beyond gorgeous. We felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves most days with just a few other families or people walking by periodically. The sand truly is pink! And the sunsets were like none we’ve ever seen before. We have been completely charmed by Harbour Island, but especially by Touchstone. We could not have asked for a better experience and we will most definitely be back!!

Already looking forward to returning!

Our family enjoyed the most relaxing week at Karina and David’s cottage and we will definitely be back. The cottage felt clean and cozy when we arrived. Karina and David were very present and made sure we had everything we needed. The beach was a quick, easy walk (even our independent 1 year old could do the walk by herself). Our 4 and 6 year olds enjoyed hours of boogie boarding and building sand castles and found all the toys they could need provided! Neka and Clint were like fairy godparents helping with housekeeping in the mornings and had a crib rental set up and ready for us. Kitchen was well equipped for kids’ meals. Enjoyed the outdoor shower and the lush well kept yard as well. Special thank you to David for giving us a fish he caught spear fishing - cleaned and ready to grill and enjoy.

Hidden Gem on Harbor Island

Touchstone Cottage is the loveliest little piece of paradise on Harbor Island. Sitting on a large property, and very private, with beautiful lawn and landscaping, plenty of shady trees, and a hammock that got a lot of time from my crew in afternoons. You can hear the ocean from porch and smell the sea air, and walk to the pink sands beach in a couple minutes! Perfectly located with a very special "old island" vibe with wonderful historic books lining the shelves and fun an creative art. This was our 3rd stay in the cottage and it''s been beautifully re-decorated, maintaining the charm with sweet little vintage pieces here and there. I just absolutely ADORE this cottage, I'm hesitant to say too much bc I want it all to myself! Comfortable for family of 4, or a little romantic hide-a-away for 2. Close to everything.. marinas, town, restaurants and shopping, but I feel such sense of calm each time I return and drive down the the little dirt path back to the cottage. It is quiet and clean and just oh so special! Could not give a higher recommendation. I'll be back very very soon!

A beautiful week!

We enjoyed our stay in Touchstone's Cottage. The property owner and the staff on site were kind and helpful. The initial materials we were sent with info on Harbour Island dining, shopping, excursions, etc... was comprehensive and invaluable. Then when we arrived, everything was exactly as we expected. We were able to message with the property staff during out stay when we needed something. The best part of the property though, is its proximity to the beach. The walk is VERY short, which is perfect with young kids. I highly recommend Touchstone's Cottage and hope we will come back ourselves.

Gorgeous home and property

We absolutely loved our time at Touchstone — incredible property. Karina was an amazing host!! Mix in stone crabs, fresh coconut, pristine pink sand beach within steps, outdoor shower, sweet neighbors, a goat farm across the street, chickens, sea turtles, golf carts, boat tour, and everything perfectly explained in advance, and you have the perfect family vacation. We highly recommend to anyone looking for an unmatched time at Harbour Island. You can tell how much time has gone into making everything easy. So grateful that we picked Touchstone!!

Magical week at Touchstone Cottage

This property is perfect for a family with two small children! A one minute walk to the beach can’t be beat. The house was clean and fully stocked like listed. Would stay here again in the future! Only downside - no washer and dryer. It was difficult to get beach towels to dry for the next adventure especially during rainy season.

My husband and I stayed at Touchstone’s Cottage for our 2nd annual trip to Harbour Island. David and Karina are absolutely lovely and made us feel right at home. If you are looking for a stay that feels authentic to Harbour Island, you can’t beat their cottage and I’m sure the house on the property is equally as lovely. They truly thought of everything and the decor is perfection.

A True Gem!

We had an amazing stay at the Touchstone Cottage, and everything was perfect - the home is unique, thoughtfully stocked and in an unbeatable location on the island. Karina and David were welcoming and lovely, and it would take more than a few beers to hear their full life stories. They were very responsive, both before our trip when we had some VRBO booking issues as well as throughout our stay, providing us realtime info on the best local places to visit and eat. The property was perfect for our family; we were easily able to rent a crib from Neka for our infant and it was there upon our arrival. In addition to the well appointed house, the yard is an amazing asset. After a day on the beach, we found hanging out on the porch, hammock or on a blanket in the backyard to be very way to wind down. We will definitely return. Touchstone Cottage is a true gem!

I have stayed at Touchstone’s Cottage with my family for spring break in the past but decided this year to getaway with fellow friends to take some time for myself and refill my emotional bucket! And needless to say - this was the perfect trip! The cottage is well appointed and decorated to ensure a relaxing peaceful retreat. Karina is a fantastic host and the cottage is well stocked with anything you may need to ensure the best stay. All you need is a bathing suit and a good book! I highly recommend Touchstone for a family getaway with the littles / teenagers or couples too. But this time around for me the solo respite to promote a little self-care hit the spot! Nobody does it better than Touchstone! And you can’t miss out on the pink sand, warm sunshine and clear blue ocean! All sent me back feeling refreshed and rejuvenated! Really Great

This sweet cottage was absolutely perfect for our first visit to Harbour Island. As other reviewers have noted, it is so well maintained and clean; and just authentically cozy. We loved the little details - dimmer switches on the kitchen lights, the little "pay if forward" bar, the straw hat library (I hope that's what it was meant for!), the lovely beach towels, and actually great beds. All of this (and more) made it very easy to settle into for a week. Karina and Neka were a pleasure to work with, so kind and responsive! Overall, the property is gorgeous and private, and those lounge chairs are nap-inducing! It is steps to the most beautiful beach I've ever seen - which we essentially had to ourselves. Staying at Touchstone's Cottage was special, we had the most relaxing vacation in recent memory. Thank you Karina! We hope to return soon :)
