Relax and unwind in this stylish home in The Woods community of West Virginia. Perched above a small stream and surrounded by mature trees, the house offers beautiful treetop views in a peaceful, secluded setting. Guests have access to the wonderful amenities of the community including a two sizeable outdoor pools, a gym, indoor and outdoor tennis/pickleball courts, racquetball court, an indoor pool and hot tub, and saunas. Book a tee time at one of the two golf courses or a spa appointment for some pampering.

Very happy with our stay. The home was cozy and very clean. Colleen was extremely helpful and reached out to see how our trip was and suggested things to do due to having ugly weather! Definitely will be staying again when we come back to visit.

Great Golf Getaway

This house was as advertised. It is big and spacious with plenty of outdoor space. We really enjoyed the fire pit. Colleen has the house stocked with all the little essentials you will need. Colleen is very responsive and checked in with us multiple times during our visit.

Very Warm And Welcoming

Very relaxing warm and welcoming place. The views are amazing to just lay down and look at. Host was very accommodating and easy to get ahold of if any issues. For us we had no issues and enjoyed our stay!

Perfect Long Weekend Getaway

Beautiful home in The Woods community! Clean, convenient and some simple extra touches - coffee and tea, granola bars. Internet/wifi very limited, so don’t expect to stream via Roku… but if you are looking to get off the grid for a bit, this is the place.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and the extra touches of hospitality we provide. I'm sorry you found the internet to be slow. I wish you would have reached out to me to let me know. A quick reset of the router would have had you back in business in no time. I've personally streamed many shows and worked remotely from the house several times so I know it's possible. But alas, perhaps a weekend off the grid was what you really needed. I hope you'll come back again soon.

A weekend is not enough

We loved this mountain retreat and neighborhood feel. It was a great combination of privacy but beautiful home and environment. Quiet, easy to check in. Great help from hostess and only wish we could stay a week. Good to catch up with friends and visit Cacapon state park and lodge for dinner and lake beach. We used to camp and our friends still do but at our past medicare age requires more creature comforts. Thanks again for making our first Vrbo stay a good one!

Like Clockwork

Very good communication with host. Host extremely responsive. Property was as advertised. The kitchen was well supplied. The parking area is under trees so you car does get covered with tree debris. Very quiet location. Nice views of the woods. Place felt open and airy with lots of natural light.

Best Thanksgiving ever!

Aurora Borealis House was exactly what my family needed! A cozy and quiet cabin, located not too far from home. The house is well-equipped and thoughtfully prepared with everything you might need. Colleen is hands down the best host I've ever had; great communication! We enjoyed our time in the cabin, playing games, watching TV, and taking advantage of the clubhouse and spa (a plus of this property; make sure to schedule a massage ahead of time). Unfortunately, it rained and snowed during our stay, so we couldn’t use the fire pit, and the indoor fireplace wasn’t working. Due to the holiday, it wasn’t possible to get it fixed, which was disappointing since we had specifically chosen a cabin with a fireplace for our stay (that is the only reason for our four-star rating). I highly recommend Aurora Borealis House and look forward to coming back in the future!

the home was clean and comfortable. nice quiet area. we saw plenty of wildlife, deer and plenty of birds. we were there to visit family and did not get a chance to use the amenities, but everything looked amazing. the host was very nice and we had great communications. no complaints!
