Urban Cottage:Homey & Convenient

Summary:
Our cozy home is less than a 10-minute drive to Marshall, Ritter Park, Pullman Square, Mountain Health Arena, Cabell Huntington Hospital, or St. Mary's Medical Center. With three comfortable bedrooms, each with a TV, and a fully stocked kitchen, you'll have everything you need for a relaxing stay. The neighborhood is peaceful and full of wildlife, providing a serene experience, while very close to everything. We can't wait to host you!

The Space:
Our space features 3 bedrooms and can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Each of the three bedrooms is equipped with a Roku TV, perfect for unwinding before bed or relaxing in the morning. The bedrooms are also designed for your comfort. There are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed with a high-quality memory foam mattress, and a third bedroom with bunk beds that have comfortable hybrid mattresses.

The bathroom is stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fresh towels.

Our kitchen is stocked with dishes, including children's plastic dishes, and we have everything you need to prepare meals, including pots, pans, a cutting board, knives, and other cooking utensils. There is also a microwave, toaster, and Keurig for your convenience. We provide basic cooking essentials such as salt, pepper, and cooking spray.

The living room is the perfect place to hang out and unwind, with a comfortable sofa, a love seat, and Roku TV. There is also a desk available for those who need to be able to work during their stay.

The dining area is the perfect spot to enjoy your meals, with plenty of seating for everyone.

Place was clean! Communication with host was great! Got a chance to see dear grazing in the back yard. Very different when you come from the city. Nice view.

Great host but house had some issues

I hate to leave a negative review because the host was amazing! He/she responded very quickly to messages. When we didnt have dishcloths or dish towels he came first thing in the morning with dish towels. Positives: 1. Great host2. Nice living room area3. Nice dining room area4. Had plenty of towels and washcloths for bathroom (although some were tattered)5. Had laundry detergent and shampoo/conditioner6. Great water pressure (although tub drain needs draino or snaked)Negatives: 1. Beds were very hard. Nobody slept well. 2. House had a bad odor. Maybe from the old, stained carpet in bedrooms? Couldnt even open closet in one bedroom because smelled so bad. I have a strong sense of smell so this really bothered me. My mom also said it smelled bad though and she has an average sniffer. 3. Infested with ants. We didnt see any until my mom left out a closed container of honey. It must have had a little honey on the lid. They swarmed the kitchen, like nothing either of us have ever seen. Wasnt just a handful of ants. The Host did say he would mitigate when I informed him. 4. There were like 4 or 5 forks and spoons (which didnt matter after the ant incident because we didnt eat in the house at all after that). Overall, I wouldnt stay here again, but appreciate their attempts to make it nice.

Cottage getaway

This was the perfect little cottage for a family that travels. It was clean and had every single thing we needed. We are usually hard to please but we had zero complaints this is exactly how it is posted on the listing. If we ever need a place to stay while traveling to this area again we will defintely book again!

Lovely stay

We had a wonderful stay. The property is just as pictured. We were pleasantly surprised to have a nice covered patio and dining set outside in the spacious back yard. My kids had a great time playing out there. My only suggestion would be to add a few more pots and pans for those who would like to cook full dinners.

Great Weekend Getaway

We went to Huntington to visit family and decided on this property over getting a hotel room, and we are so glad we did. The house is very nice inside. The check-in process was painless. We had zero issues during our stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was just as described. It was conveniently located to everything that we needed. We even had a male and female deer that came and visited us every day morning and evening. It was an added treat. Will definitely stay there again.

we just wanted a nice weekend stay in a smaller city to explore around west virginia as well, this home was great well equipped with blankets and pillows, and just very cozy! Reasonable price our host was great and helpful. Thank you!
