Our cottage in the woods features 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a beautiful kitchen with quartz countertops and high end GE appliances, an informal dining area, charming living room with cathedral ceilings and most ceiling are covered in eastern Nebraska red cedar, it looks and smells amazing. The property has been updated and was once a barn. It is situated on a 90 acre farm and surrounded by 6 acres of trees. Two large patios where it is easy to entertain and converse. Blackstone flat iron grill. Walking paths. 1/2 mile to Lake Cunningham where you have an 18 hole disc course, kayaking, fishing, bird watching, bike paths and so much more. All hard surface roads to the property with quick and easy access to I 680, 15 minutes to CHI Center, College World Series Stadium, Old Market and airport. 10 minutes to Top Golf and Westroads shopping center and Village Point. Great location, peace and quiet. Commune with nature.

Our second time staying at Rainwood Cottage and we love it! It has everything we needed for our family, including great space for meals, games, hanging out and sleeping in comfort. The outdoor space is also beautiful, and we really enjoyed both hanging out on the patio and walking on the grounds. There is a nice grill and stove at the house, which made cooking easy. And even though you feel like you are on a retreat, the grocery store was not far away. Would highly recommend and hope to stay again!

UNO Graduation Trip

This was the perfect house for extended family to come together and celebrate our UNO graduates. Everything was wonderful, and communication with the owner was excellent.

Great place for a family!

We really enjoyed the Rainwood Cottage. Our family of 5 stayed there (with several "adult" children in their early 20's), and our family who live locally came out for dinner and games. We chose it specifically b/c of the zero level entry, which allowed my mom to come in a wheelchair, but we found it to be perfect in many ways. The cottage is beautiful, and easily accomodated our group of 8 for meals and games. The kids enjoyed the yard and the walking paths, and we all greatly enjoyed the beautiful patio and grill. You have everything that you need there (the host has many games and even provided bug spray!) and you feel like you have escaped the city. The 4 bedrooms provide ample sleeping space, and both the indoor and outdoor tables were good for meals and games. The entrance to the property is a little hard to find, and be aware that GPS sends you to the neighbor. Would definitely stay there again!

Country living

Great house in the country but close to everything you need. Owner was very attentive to anything we needed or questions we had. Looking forward to staying again in the summertime and enjoying the property even more.
