ROATAN 2024

We chose to stay mid island for the past few nights of our trip so we could experience more local culture in the middle and East End. We had no problem locating the house. We asked for directions a few times and everyone was very helpful. We chose this accommodation due to its views and proximity to a swimming beach. Upon arriving we noticed the construction of new homes is blocking the views to the sea from the main floor. You can still see the ocean from the upstairs bedroom decks, however. It’s too bad these are being constructed right in the view area😞 The house is large and clean. We only slept on the king size bed and it was comfy. The construction starts early in the morning and their music and pounding gets quite loud. Trucks and workers are going up and down the mud road right next to the pool all day long. The pool was chilly but refreshing and we used it some every day. We just chilled and watched the vehicles get stuck trying to get up the hill by the side of the house. It was actually quite comical😂 The first night we walked down to the dock and beach area, which is in need of lots of TLC. The pool looking out to the ocean is down there, not by the house. Guess I misunderstood that when originally viewing the property. The little island with the wooden deck you can see online is falling into the water so can’t be walked on. The water is not clear and swimable at this Location. I booked so we could just walk there and swim but we’re not able to. This upset me.

Beautiful home and close to everything

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful with great views of the ocean. The pool was cleaned a few times during our stay. Check in and check out were very easy. Great restaurants and a grocery store are very close by. The neighborhood is safe and very well maintained. Both the host and the neighbor, Cheryl, were very helpful; always answering our questions quickly. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We had a great time.

I love the safe, secure feeling the house gives me being located within a premier gated community with guards on site 24 seven. I also love, not only having a community pool, dock, and beach area to enjoy, but also a private pool of my own at the house!
